The Radford Highlanders fought very hard in the first round of the Hawkeye Challenge but it just proved to be too challenging against Eastern Illinois out of the OVC. The Panthers were led by Romain Martin and Julio Anthony as they combined for 41 points en route to beating the Highlanders. Kenny Thomas started to look like what everyone expected from him but the rest of the team just didn't seem to show up tonight.

The Radford Highlanders fall to 3-3 and will play the Iowa Hawkeyes in the consolation tournament. Iowa is currently 4-4.

The Radford Highlanders came into today's game in hopes of a win against a power conference opponent in Iowa. In the first 7 or 8 minutes of the game it was a neck and neck game and neither team could pull away. Than Iowa went on a run to take a 15 point lead and did not look back. Radford got close a few times at making it a game again but just couldn't get over the hump. Jamar Jenkins led Radford with his 21 points. Kenny Thomas struggled again from three.

Hey guys I am discontinuing this legacy because I am not really that into it. I am not really having as much fun as I have in past legacies. This is the first legacy where I found myself making me play the games. Radford just wasn't the place for me honestly. I promise that will not happen in the new legacy I started with UC Davis.
