Update

San Francisco defeated St. Bonaventure 74-52 in their season opener at the War Memorial Gymnasium. The Dons struggled early on, holding only a four point lead at half but pulled away in the second half thanks to Tarick Curry. Curry scored 20 points (7-15 FG, 5-11 3PT) while Jamie Bosley was a force down low with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Laramie Miggins also had a great game with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists. RJ Myles had 10 points and 3 rebounds off the bench.

San Francisco (1-0) destroyed Marquette (0-0) 73-37 in the first round of the Palm Tree Shootout at the USF Sun Dome. The Dons jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Curry lead the Dons with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists while Bosley recorded another double double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Myles was key off the bench with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Marquette stood no chance with their incredible lack of size.

San Francisco (2-0) handled Georgia (2-0) 73-50 in the semifinals of the Palm Tree Shootout. Curry couldn't miss from beyond the arc, scoring 24 points (8-19 3PT) and adding 3 steals and 2 assists. Miggins was key wit h15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists while Roger Rivers added 11 points off the bench.

San Francisco (3-0) fell to Southern Mississippi (3-0) in the Championship of the Palm Tree Shootout 56-47. The Dons shot an abysmal 19 of 60 from the field and 4 for 26 from beyond the arc. Jairus Courselle led the Dons with 14 points, 5 steals and 4 rebounds while Miggins had 13 points, 5 steals and 3 assists.

The Dons travel to Pullman to take on Washington State next week.

San Francisco (3-1) squeaked out a 52-51 win in their first road game of the year against the Washington State Cougars (3-3). The Dons jumped out to a 32-21 lead at half but some poor shooting in the 2nd half allowed the Cougars to get back into the game. The Cougars had a shot to win the game as time expired but it rimmed out. Tarick Curry led the Dons with 14 points and 3 steals while Laramie Miggins added 11 points and 3 assists.

San Francisco (4-1) defeated Manhattan College (4-1) 70-52 despite some troubles in the first half. The Dons trailed for most of the half but took a one point lead going into halftime. Joel Caskill was key with 10 points and 7 boards and Laramie Miggins added 14 points and 3 steals. Despite a poor shooting night, Tarick Curry had 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals.

The Dons (5-1) defeated UC Irvine with ease, 73-45. The Dons jumped out to a 40-19 lead at half and took it easy in the second half. Despite another poor shooting performance, Tarick Curry had 16 points, 8 assists and 2 steals.Miggins had 12 points, 4 boards and 3 assists while Jamie Bosley contributed 10 points and 6 boards.

First big game of year...

San Francisco (6-1) defeated UNLV (6-1) at the Thomas Mack Center in overtime, 81-60. Tarick Curry had a huge game for the Dons with 24 points and 4 steals while Jamie Bosley had 13 points and 12 boards. Miggins was also key with 18 points. The Dons were down 32-28 at half but regrouped and lead for most of the second half. LaMar Roberson caused the Dons a lot of problems with 24 points and had a chance to win the game at the buzzer but his shot fell short. The Dons dominated the overtime period, outscoring UNLV 28-7. (note: 5 minute overtime)
