Thanks! It started to get a little rough with no bench so I needed to make a little trade just to strengthen it a bit. Norris Cole's rating is worse than Ridnour's but I can shoot with Cole a lot better so it helps out.

Ricky Rubio Receives November Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month Honors

Minneapolis, MN - The awards just keep piling up for T'Wolves guard Ricky Rubio. Not only was Rubio named the November Rookie of the Month, he also received the November Player of the Month award as well.

"Ricky is growing by leaps and bounds," coach Rick Adelman said, speaking of his point guards play. "He could go out and score 15-20 points per game but he uses his passing to get teammates involved and gives us the best chance to win. I think that was the main factor in his winning of the award. He makes this whole team better. He's not putting up numbers like a Derrick Rose or Chris Paul but he's no less valuable to his team,"

Rubio himself was visibly elated when he received the news of his honors. "It feels good to be recognized. I just want to keep the team winning,"

Game Notes
Minnesota welcomes the Phoenix Suns to the Target Center as they look to kick off the new year with a win. The Timberwolves closed 2011 as one of the hottest teams in the league after winning nine of their final eleven games of the year. The T'Wolves will look to keep the momentum up in 2012 as they enter their busiest month of the season. The Phoenix Suns have fallen on hard times as of the last couple years as star point guard Steve Nash is entering the final years of his Hall of Fame career. It's past meets present as Nash faces off against rookie passing prodigy Ricky Rubio and the Timberwolves.

Re: In the Company of Wolves - A T'Wolves Dynasty (NBA 2K12)

T'Wolves Start New Year on the Right Note
Love and Williams Tear Suns Front Court Apart

Minneapolis, MN - With the start of the new year, the Timberwolves were hoping to keep some of the habits they gained at the end of 2011. The habit of winning. The T'Wolves started off 2012 with doing exactly that by beating the struggling Suns 84-74. "As a team; we played great together out there tonight," coach Rick Adelman said after the game. "Every one of our starters were in double figures and the bench played great. They're the ones who drove our run in the second quarter to give us the lead. Norris, Wayne and Anthony played excellent tonight. I was very pleased with what I saw tonight out of everyone,"

Kevin Love's 2011-12 campaign seems to be getting stronger after his incendiary comments that made the media pay attention to Minnesota for the first time in years. "We all need to play good out there. I'm just a part of this team," Love said when asked if he felt a burden of making plays after his comments. "I try to do whatever I can to help the team out there. If that means rebounding, i'll do it. If that means hit a few threes, i'll do that,"

"It was a huge team effort tonight," Wesley Johnson said. "It just shows we can win with the entire team playing well and win when some of us are off. We're just growing more and more and I think we're growing into something scary,"

Wesley Johnson, who has been in a bit of a shooting slump as of late, took less attempts from the field during the game but made sure he hit the shots he did take. "Wes played well out there," Michael Beasley said. "We all did. It was my first time with double figures in how long?" he said with a bit of a laugh.

The question of giving forward/center Anthony Randolph was brought up to Adelman after Randolph had a 7 rebound effort in only 8 minutes. "Anthony is definitely working his way to more playing time. He's been working hard at practice and lucky for us can play both the power forward and center spots. I think it's just a matter of time before you see more of him,"

Adelman's comments lead many to believe that the days of Darko Milicic being the primary big man backup are over. Milicic came into the season as the starting center but has slowly but surely fallen out of favor with Adelman with poor offensive and defensive efforts.

Game Notes
The T'Wolves travel to Charlotte to play the surprising Bobcats in the second night of their first January back-to-back. Kevin Love and Derrick Williams are both coming off of overpowering performances in their last game against Phoenix and will look again to exploit the Bobcats' weak front court. Ricky Rubio meets fellow rookie Kemba Walker at the point for what should be an interesting matchup between pass-first and score-fire point guards. Minnesota looks to keep the new year momentum going and extend their win streak to 3 at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Re: In the Company of Wolves - A T'Wolves Dynasty (NBA 2K12)

Foul Trouble Dooms T'Wolves
Rubio Fouls Out After Terrible Shooting Night

Charlotte, NC - Looking to expand on their fresh two-game win streak, the Timberwolves fell to the Bobcats in the second night of their back to back. The team was plagued with foul trouble the entire game, eventually leading to Ricky Rubio fouling out with 30 seconds left in the game. "We played a sloppy, sloppy game out there tonight. I was surprised we kept it so close with all of the turnovers. We didn't get in the paint much either. The stats show that when we get down low, we win," coach Rick Adelman said.

The top story from the night was Ricky Rubio's terrible night from the field. Although he finished the game with a career high 14 assists, he only shot 2-10 from the field and sat on the bench for most of the second and third quarters.

Lucky for the Timberwolves, their new and improved bench play came to save the day. Norris Cole and Wayne Ellington injected life into the T'Wolves off the bench and helped them game a lead in the third. Adelman chose to keep the duo on the floor for the last five minutes of the fourth quarter instead of starters Wesley Johnson and Michael Beasley. "I wasn't having a good night out there," Wesley Johnson said in the locker room after the game. "I understand why coach did what he did. Of course you always want to be out there to make the game winning shot but Wayne and Norris played their asses off tonight and they deserved to be out there,"

Beasley on the other hand wasn't as diplomatic as his teammate. "I don't know why I was on the bench. I thought I had an alright night but it seemed to me like coach didn't trust me out there to take a big shot,"

Adelman refuted Beasley's comments during his portion of the post game press conference, "It's simple. Wayne and Norris were having fantastic nights tonight. These questions wouldn't be coming up if we had ended up winning the game. There's no controversy or anything going on here. I'm going to have a talk with Michael later tonight on our way make to Minneapolis,"

Derrick Williams attempted to save the day in the waning moments of the fourth quarter and hit two three point field goals before he was double teamed and Kevin Love was forced to put up the last shot the Timberwolves would put up for the night. "I want to win you know?" Williams said. "I'm gonna do all that it takes to do it. These back to backs are rough but we're getting a day off tomorrow and then get Philadelphia at home. I'll be back, you just watch,"

(I forgot to take the second picture during the game. It got a bit intense. Oops)
