"The Beach" Legacy

Long Beach,CA- The Long Beach 49ers have signed a new coach to the basketball program. 27 year old, Darren Baker, is coming to Long Beach. Could this be the coach that Long Beach has been needing? "I am here to try to win! This is where I want to be right now, and I am going to take this team to the next level" said Coach Baker. Coach Baker previously coached at Kinston High School in North Carolina, leading them to 1 State Title! So is this it? I guess we will find out!

Michigan just couldn't hold back the 49ers, in the 2nd Half, as the 49ers give Coach Darren Baker his 1st Career Victory as a College Coach. "The Boys fought hard tonight and prevailed in the end" said Coach Baker. Michigan could not stop Senior Casper Ware, as he put up 24 pts. as he contributed 5 3s, and played stellar defense. So, the 49ers get their 1st win of the season,

The 49ers came in to confident last night as they get upset by Idaho St. Casper Ware tried to get his team in it as he put up 22 pts., but that just didn't help as the 49ers lose their home opener, and hand Coach Baker his first loss of his career.

Re: "The Beach" Legacy

Nice. I'll be checking this out. I'm a UCSB student so I'm interested to see how the Big West shapes up. Good luck stopping Orlando Johnson.

Also is 7'4" Greg Somogyi on UCSB's roster and what is he rated?
