Why did the Kings lose? Two words: Missed Shots. Especially the missed layup with 7 seconds to go. But there is a silver lining to this one. Three players put up double doubles: John Salmons (19 pts, 13 rebs), Tyreke Evans (18 pts, 12 rebs), and J.J. Hickson (10 pts, 12 rebs). Lets hope that they can bounce back against the defending champs, the Dallas Mavericks.

This is interesting. Sacramento had the lead the entire game until the fourth quarter. But then they collapsed. Tyler Honeycutt kept them in the game off of the bench, but his efforts weren't enough. Marcus Thornton missed a three that would've sent this game into overtime. But lets not dwell on that. The Kings are one game behind the Spurs, who are not only first in the West, but are also the Kings' next opponent. The winner of this one will be first in the West.

The Kings knocked off the first place Spurs last night, in a game that came down to the wire. This puts the Kings in first place out west. But there is some bad news. Tyreke Evans is out for two weeks with a strained back. Jimmer Freddette will be starting against the Kings' next opponent, the New York Knicks. With the Knicks getting off to a slow start, the Kings hope to grab an easy win in this one.

Bad things come in threes. Missed ones, that is. And the Kings had a whole bunch of them in this one. Tyreke said after this one that it was hard to watch. He also said that the team doctors have cleared him to play in the next game against the Utah Jazz.

Just a quick glance at the table shows the reason the Kings lost: Too many fouls. The Jazz capitalized on that, with 88% shooting from the line. Next up for the Kings, the Lakers, who Jimmer dropped 91 points on them the last time these two teams faced off. Jimmer will be starting at SG, with Marcus Thornton moved to SF and John Salmons to the bench.

The Kings the Lakers again, improving to 9-5. They have one both matchups against the Lakers this season. Despite Kobe dropping 52 points, his team couldn't keep up with the fast play of the Kings. Three Kings players had double-doubles. Tyreke Evans (19 pts, 14 asts), J.J. Hickson (12 pts,13 rebs), and Jimmer Freddette (37 pts, 11 asts). Next up for the Kings, the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Kings had a late surge in the fourth to tie it up. Tyreke Evans owned the floor tonight and Mike Miller was 6-8 from three off of the bench. My three stars for this one are as follows:

3. Tyrus Thomas: 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks

2. Tyreke Evans: 22 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.

1. DeMarcus Cousins: 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 steals.

VS Timberwolves

Just before this game, a trade was made with the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers got Jason Thompson in exchange for Dahntay Jones and a 2nd round pick. After Ricky Rubio fouled out late in the third, everything went downhill for the T-Wolves. Jimmer shot very well (75% from the field) in this game. He led the comeback. He also ended the game with a last-second buzzer-beater in OT. Mehmet Okur passed it to Freddete with 4 seconds left. Jimmer faced off with J.J. Barea. He crossed over, stepped back, and hit a mid-range fadeaway to send Minnesota home.

Three Stars

3. Derrick Williams: 30 pts, 10 rebs, 12-20 FG

2. DeMarcus Cousins: 15 pts, 12 rebs

1. J.J. Hickson: 22 pts, 13 rebs, 8 asts, 5 stls

The Kings got manhandled in this one. Vince Carter was on fire. Dirk and Jason Kidd ran the pick and pop all game. There were two bright sides for the Kings though. As always, J.J. Hickson had a double-double. The other silver lining is that new acquisition Dahntay Jones led the team in points, with 18 in just 12 minutes on the floor.
