Well they did just that as the Magic re inked Howard for over 127 million dollars for the next 6 years... So now Howard and Williams are off the market in what could have been a huge off season.. 11-09-12 *Alot of teams re signing current players to new contracts, here are some of them... November- Spurs Manu Ginobili, 1 year, 6.30 million. Nets Gerald Wallace, 6 years, 60.42 million. Nets Deron Williams, 5 years, 90.34 million. Rockets Jamal Crawford, 2 years, 9.04 million. Boston Ray Allen, 1 year, 3.45 million. Bucks Beno Udrih, 4 years, 4.53 million. trades... 12-3-12, Clippers trade Mo Williams to the Suns for Jared Dudley and Al Thornton, more trading involving the Suns.. 10-9-12, Hawks trade Marvin Williams and Zaza Pachulia to Phoenix for Marcin Gortat, Looks like the Suns continue to rebuild. 11-1-2013 Roy Hibbert traded to Minnesota.. The Pacers traded away their big man Roy Hibbet to the Twolves for up and comming big Anthony Randolph and Nikola Pekovic. This now gives Randolph the starting spot in Indiana and he is ready to run and take it...Minnesota will now start 3 big men Kevin Love, Hibbert and Michael Beasley a very good tri, to go along with Ricky Rubio and Wesley Johnson... TEAM NEWS ** the dates on here are the dates on the game** Portland adds more depth Trading for Jason Terry who was upset in Dallas, The Blazers traded Marcus Morris and Rookie PG Arvydas Tavcar, Terry may not be around forever but its a need Portland needs off the Bench, he will make his debut at home against the Clippers on 12-23. 12-1-12.DANNY GRANGER coming to Portland... just hours after talking about possible deals, Portland made some calls and got some scoring help, well they hope they have, Danny Granger was traded to Portland for Alonzo Gee and the first round pick Portland got from OKC, Gee was picked up in the off season as a free agent, didnt get alot of time right away but then started the last few games, played pretty well, But in the end Portland needed another scorer, now they have LA, Hodges who can be hot at times, and Granger as go to scorers and gives PG Jeremy Lin some weapons, Portland feels this was a great move and didnt give up alot, Granger has this season and next on his contract, after that its not sure what Portland will do as Granger will be 31 by then, Plus Portland with the help of the Wizards may get another top 5 pick this season, and this draft class is loaded, Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes, they seem set at all 5 spots now, so it may leave ya wondering who they draft, They may go Center and go Andre Drummond, but Serge Ibaka is still young and talented.... But for now the Blazers land another scoring threat who can slash to the hoop.. Granger will start at SF. 12-1-12 Portland may be back in the trade talks, After alot of moves last season and a couple this season, Portland is seeking another go to scorer, Jeremy Lin can score here and there, Hodges is still a rookie, even if he was the #1 pick, Portland would like to find a scoring SF, Right now Alonzo Gee starts at SF, but would Portland be interested in a Andre Iguodala, he is only averaging 16.6 a game though What about a Danny Granger, or Maybe even a Rudy Gay, the top 4 scoring SF's in the league are pretty much untradable right now, James, Anthony,Durant and Beasley, Gotta remember in order to get any of those guys Portland would have to give up something to, Would it be Lin ? would it be a combo of like Hickson and a young player with potential in Elliot Williams or Gordon Hayward?, To some it wouldnt make since to trade Lin when u just got him and needed a PG, Wait and see !!!... 11-18-12 Portland Releases upset Barea, Signs Telfair... JJ Barea had been upset lately with his role and playing time, Infact he didnt even play last game as coach Henry(me), sat him for his poor play, The Blazers ended up releasing him and picking up a quality backup PG in Telfair who had played for Portland b4, He was drafted by the Blazers outta High School... 10-26-12. Portland signed big man vet Troy Murphy to sure up there front court, he brings toughness and experience, this will also cut out sometime from other players like Marcus Morris and Elliot Williams guys further down, in fact Elliot Williams and rookie PG Arvydas Tavcar were sent to the D league, the team would rather them stay ready and playing instead of sitting on the bench, Its been kinda hard spreading the minutes around to a great group of players. Re: RIP CITY-Portland Trail Blazers
GAMES 16--20 BOX SCORE **On the opponents box score i will just be putting the high scorere, rebounder and passer.** GAME 16 VS Indiana Pacers
JJ Hickson made his debut with Portland and had a solid performence, 11 and 13. He was traded to Portland from the Kinds for Mehmet Okur.. It was a defensive battle in this game.. Jamal Crawford missed the game due to a injury he suffered early in the last game against Atlanta.. This was Devin Harris' 3rd game sine the trade that sent Oden to Utah. ================================================== ======================== GAME 17 VS LA Lakers
*again note that in the opponents box score im only doing their leading Scorer, Rebounder and Passer** Blazers get blown out as Batum and Harris gets injured.. With Crawford already out the last thing Portland needed was more injuries.. Well it happened, 2 minutes into the game Batum injured his lower back and has been listed as 1-2 weeks and is listed out... Later in the game PG Devin Harris rolled his ankle and had to leave the game he to now is listed 1-2 weeks. So with 3 key players out, How will things look for the Blazers.. Alridge of the Blazers recorded his 3rd straight double double.. looks as if Felton will move into the starting lineup for the injured Harris. And it may be Faried who is the smaller of the 2 between him and Hickson, May get the start now at SF, with Hickson staying at C.... ================================================== ========================== GAME 18 VS Minnesota Timberwolves PORTLAND DROPS TO 9-9 IN LOSS TO TWOLVES
Blazers without 4 key players just could not keep up with the surging TWolves, Blazers played without Crawford, Batum, Harris and Faried. Just to tough to slow down Love and Rubio, And Beasley was on tonight shot 9-15 from the field made both 3's. The Blazers are expected to go one more game before getting anyone back, and it will be another tough one against the Boston Celtics, After that. The Blazers get 3 days off before playing the Kings... ================================================== =============================== GAME 19 VS Boston Celtics Blazers get ran over again at home for the 2nd time in a row. Portland still hobbled with injuries did everything they could in fact they led 25-20 after 1 but the 2nd qtrs have been Portland down quarters this season. And in the 2nd they got out scored 32-17, Boston goes on to win 103-83. Portland should have Faried and Harris back vs the Kings in 3 days... the Blazer drop to 10-10.
================================================== ================================== GAME 20 VS Sacramento Kings The Blazers got a big win over the Kings and welcomed back PG Devin Harris and PF Kenneth Faried at a much needed time, Harris returned with a bang scoring 24 points and having 5 assist and 4 steals, Faried didnt score alot he had 4 points but ripped down 9 rebounds. Portland was missing both of these players.. They still get Crawford and Batum coming back to. BREAKING NEWS, A day after the game the Blazers did another trade adding to the record year they have had for trades.. Alot of the trades were not to just build a super team, but to get the right peices in place. And some of the guys that gor traded were ones who either lost playing time due to a trade or Portland had to take in a trade that they didnt really need... Well after the win over the Kings the Blazers who had been eyeing David Lee for the past couple weeks, landed the PF who may play center for Portland. the trade from what was said.. was Raymond Felton who lost his starting job to Harris, Wesley Matthews who has been up and down this season and backup PG Jonny Flynn to Golden State for David Lee, John Brockman and the Warriors 2013 first round pick for next season.. Blazers front office said that this will probably be it for the wheeling and dealing as they want to move forward with this roster.. and are very pleased to add Lee to the roster. They should have no issues rebounding as that has been a issue over the past few weeks.. Now with Lee, LA Faried and Hickson. Portland is still mulling over what to do with Hasheem Thabeets contract, He makes 5 million this season and 6 next season if the Blazers pick up his team option...David Lee will dress and play for his new team when they take on Toronto on the 14th, in 2 days. As for the game on monday at home vs the Kings, the Blazers squeaked it out, winning 101-100 its there 2nd win in a row by 1 point. The Blazers move back to .500 at 10-10.. and remain tied for 7th in the West... Up next 8-13 Toronto...

GAMES 21-25 GAME 21 VS Toronto Raptors 12-14-11
PLAYER STATS mins, pts, rebs, asst,fg, PORTLAND (11-10) Devin Harris,(35) 24-1-6, (8-17) Elliot Williams,(35) 13-2-4, (4-7) Gordon Heyward,(22) 8-3-2, (0-2), (8-8 FTS) LaMarcus Aldridge,(35) 24-6-2, (8-14) David Lee, (36) 25-14-2, (11-18) Bench Kenneth Faried,(28) 6-4-0, (2-5) JJ Hickson,(27) 10-10-0, (5-9) Theo Ratliff,(12) 1-6-2, (0-1) Jon Brockman,(8) 0-1-1, (0-1) Antonio Hughes,(2) 2-1-0, (1-3) Toronto 8-14 Andrea Bargnani, 22-8-2, (6-16) 10-10 FT Linus Kleiza, 18-5-3, (4-11) 10-14 Ft Nate Robinson, 18-4-2, (7-16) 4 threes Demar DeRozan, 10-4-1, (3-9) Portland pulled away big in the 2nd half, outscoring Toronto 70-42, it looked scary in the first half, David Lee exploded in his Blazer debut going for 25 and 14, Aldridges double double streak ended but to him all that matters is winning, the Blazers have won 2 in a row and looking to keep it up, They now start a 3 game road trip starting in Phoenix were the Suns have had a rough year, they are 7-15, Portland is hoping to have if not both Batum and Crawford back, Atleast one of them. Portland has a day off after the Toronto game... If they dont return on this 3 game road tripe... they for sure should be back next Blazer home game.. after they end the road trip they have 3 days off and then its at home vs PHX, LAC and NYK... ================================================== ================ GAME 22 @ Phoenix 12-16-11
Player Stats (mins played in front of name) PORTLAND 11-11 (37) Devin Harris, 13-1-11 (5-13) (30) Elliot Williams, 11-3-0 (4-4) (37) JJ Hickson, 19-10-1 (6-11) (39) LaMarcus Aldridge, 16-7-2 (8-15) (39) David Lee, 16-15-0 (8-22) Bench (22) Kenneth Faried 2-4-0 (1-1) (15) Gordon Hayward 3-0-0 (0-9) (14) Nolan Smith 2-2-1 (1-5) (5) Antonio Hughes 0-3-0 (0-0) (4) Jon Brockman 3-0-0 (1-1) (4) Theo Ratliff 0-0-0 (0-0) SUNS 8-15 Steve Nash 27-2-6 Markieff Morris 15-10-1 Marcin Gortat5-13-1 Portland could not overcome the road woes, and lost to Phoenix 93-85, David Lee had another solid outing for Portland 16 and 15, While LA kicked in 16 and JJ Hickson still bringing it another solid game 19 and 10.. Portland was up 27-13 after 1 but flopped in the 2nd and 4th's almost sounds typical for the Blazers this season... well up next is a trip to Memphis to take on the grizzlies... on December 18th, And then they will have to head straight to San Antonio for a 2nd of a back to back, All in all so far the Blazers are doing a decent job so far at 11-11. ================================================== ============= GAME 23 @ MEMPHIS 12-18-11
David Lee and LaMarcus Aldridge had off nights but Faried and Hickson stepped up big time.. combining for 23 points and 25 rebounds. To be able to have guys step up like that is huge, Memphis was playing without PF Zach Randolph who is out 1-2 weeks witha strained quad, Randolph the former Blazer is averaging 20 and 9 this season.. Blazer PG Nolan Smith in only his 2nd game back from the D league lit it up for 22 points in 20 minutes and we seen Gordon Hayward bounce back from his 0-9 game against the Suns... The Blazers move from 8th to 6th with the win and a loss by the Clippers and Timberwolves.. The Blazers have no time to rest as they play in San Antonio the very next night and then 3 days off and its back home for 3, Jamal Crawford will be back for the Spurs game and will start at SG, huge need for the Blazers, Batum will not play on this road trip but should be back after their 3 day break... Blazers are now 12-11.. ================================================== =========== GAME 24 @ SPURS (Hoopscasted Sim)
Blazers go cold in San Antonio...Its not often u go cold in Texas, But the Blazers did.. It was not exactly the return that guard Jamal Crawford wanted to see.. Nothing was falling for Portland at one point they were down to 22% shooting in the 2nd quarter. Jamal Crawford returned to the lineup after missing almost 2 weeks. He struggled early but then got it going alil in the 2nd half and got to the free throw line, making all 6 free throws. The Blazers bench didnt help the cause, shooting 3-23, the offense and even the D will get some help when they play again in 4 days, When Forward Nicolas Batum should be back. The Blazers have the next 3 days off. LaMarcus Aldridge of the Blazers had a solid game but he would rather take wins.. LA had 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds... David Lee had his 2nd straight off night, he grab 13 rebounds but only had 7 points.. It isnt sure yet if Batum will come off the bench 20-25 minutes or start at SF, Hickson has been at SF and he has been playing great there, but if u move Batum into the starting line up, You will have Hickson and Faried as your main guys off the bench and neither of them is know for there scoring at times. may need a scorer off the bench... Next for Portland is back home against the Suns.. The Spurs played without PF Tim Duncan and Dejaun Blair and still pulled off the win mainly to Portlands bad shooting of all nights..........Scratch that, After 3 days off Nic Batum is still listed as day to day WTH?? So Portland will go ahead and take on the Suns without him... maybe he will be back 2 days after that game when they are home to take on the Clippers ================================================== ==== GAME 25 VS SUNS
Backcourt leads the way to victory.. Jamal Crawford had a much better game tonight then in his first game back.. Crawford led the way with 27 points, He was also 9-11 at the free throw line and made the only 2 threes Portland made.. PG Devin Harris had 20 pts and 12 assist, the team bounced back from there poorly played game against the Spurs the other night... After the game the Blazers reported that Batum will be back when the team takes on the Clippers in 2 days.. Batum will come off the bench as one of the main 6th men, along with Faried, Hickson will remain at SF for now.. Portland wants some scoring on the 2nd unit.... Blazers are once again just over .500 at 13-12. up next at home VS the Clippers... ================================================== ==== Last edited by benton32; 03-30-2012 at 06:01 AM. |

Re: RIP CITY-Portland Trail Blazers
GAME #32 VS CLEVELAND and
#33 VS ORLANDO (full coach mode game) PLAYED FIRST HALF----SIMMED SECOND HALF PTS--(P)--(S) CLE 50---42 POR 33---37 REBS CLE 30---22 POR 19---18 AST CLE 13--6 POR 4---4 FG CLE 21/40---15/29 POR 14/45---11/33 FT CLE 8/13---9/17 POR 3/3---13/16 FLS CLE 3---12 POR 8---15
** I guess iam not suppose to beat Cleveland.. Earlier i did this game and was going to play all of it.... well at one point i was down 34 points i said screw it and quit the game... not that i do that all the time and cheat and re do it.. I wanted alil more realism lol.. Cavs are 9-21 and rated like 67 or something.. i forget.. but it was just getting outta hand, I even copied someones coach mode sliders down and people seemed to like them.. but not my game.. in the 2nd qtr of the first game they outscored me 38-13 in the 2nd, wow... SOOO i thought ok ill try it again this time coach mode the first half sim the 2nd half... as u can see no change really.. i dunno WTH is up with my team and playing the Cavs... wow even when i simmed the 2nd half my team didnt do any better.... on top of that.. before i did this last game here.. I accidently clicked on simulate game on the calender and it had me losing i think 88-80.. So i guess i wasnt suppose to beat them.. but ya this is kind driving me nuts, I tried to coach mode the full game the last 2 games before this one.. and ya wow we gave up over 110 points in each one.. So its kinda not fun.. ive been tweaking the sliders.. using other peoples sliders.. i dunnno what gives.. Sorry i keep changing how i get the results of the games.. ive been playing/simming the game... or then ill end up hoopscasting a game.. back and forth, just trying to find the right one i wanna do... and for the record the 2nd quarters are my nightmare quarters... the thing that is bugging me is i had a 6 game winning streak going.. when i was hoopscasting the games, simulating them but still being able to make subs.. and then i try to go ahead and coach mode the games and i start losing... now ive lost 3 in a row grrrr... Sorry such a long message, just venting. Tired of the same ole every game... Right now simming compared to playing the game.. is night and day different... but im going to keep doing it 50-50 for now... coach first half sim 2nd half... see how it goes.... UP next Home vs Orlando (23-11) This game was done by coach mode all 4 quarters. No simming Big 3rd Quarter lifts Orlando to win over Blazers 111-98 Well this game wasnt has stressful as the past few games... yes Orlando had a big quarter like every team i play has at least one.. and this one was the 3rd... it was a battle in the first half down 51-49, but Orlando killed me in the 3rd, outscoring me 36-19.. it had me wondering once again lol.. I did lower both teams fast breaks and lowered my crash boards so my team will get back on D and i didnt see as many 3 on 2's or 2 on 1's for Orlando.. Portland tried making a run late but didnt have time.. they were off alil in the 2nd and 3rd but picked it back up in the 4th, the coach stuck with the starters alil longer in this game trying to keep the team into the game. Portland has lost 4 in a row after winning 6 straight. they remain in 2nd in the Pacific Northwest Division. and now will take off for a 6 game road trip.. starting in San Antonio.
Other Scores around the league on Wednesday January 11th Indiana 118 Spurs 110 Kings 106 Raptors 102. *Raptors now last in the East and lost 10 in a row. good news for Portland they get Torontos first round pick this summer* Bulls 125 Wizards 85. *Wizards scored 7 in the 2nd quarter, Bulls racked up 42 in the first quarter Hornets 95 Thunder 87 Nuggets 110 Nets 96 Hawks 99 Bobcats 88 Heat 117 Clippers 103 Celtics 110 Dallas 88 Last edited by benton32; 04-04-2012 at 06:05 AM. |

Re: RIP CITY-Portland Trail Blazers
GAMES 34-43
GAME 34 @ San Antonio.
GAME 35 @ HOUSTON (Hoopscasted) Wow i guess it wasnt just the game it self when playing.. We got toasted in Houston on hoopscast.. I cant bitch to much 2 times earlier this season we came from behind and won by 1 point on 2 previous hoopscasted games, one included Houston, So pay back was on i guess. but wow horrid game.. Im starting to wonder if i really even have a good team, on the calender we did play the night b4 so maybe fatigue is setting in.. down by 30 going into the 4th ouch...and another horrible 3rd quarter, this time outscored 31-15, LaMarcus Aldridge fouled out after just 28 minutes. David Lee continues to struggle from the field, going 4-11, Is he on the hot seat for his starting position at center ? Backup PG Nolan Smith came up big off the bench with 19 points in 14 minutes both PG's attacked the hoop and got to the line combining for 19-23 from the free throw line.... can the Blazers bounce back from this 6 game skid... up next is a 50-50 game a played first half and sim 2nd half..
GAME 36 @ SIXERS (Played/Sim) BLAZERS SNAP 6 GAME SKID, Beat Sixers 100-88 *MLK day in the city of brotherly love...... This game was alot better overall in the first half I actually was doing pretty well with the team, Shortened the rotation down to 8 guys.. They seemed to play better and I almost didnt wanna sim the 2nd half cause i was worried that since im on the road... the sim is going to give the Sixers a huge 2nd half but i stuck by it... the next game will be coach mode all the way through....Blazers now back to .500 at 18-18.. Portland lead most of the game but Utah kep fighting back many times, cutting Portlands leads away, The Blazers have won 3 outta the last 4 games to end the month.. this was a big game for both teams even though the season is only about half way over, Portland entered the game 2 games up on Utah for the 8th seed... Re: RIP CITY-Portland Trail Blazers
FEBRUARY BOX SCORES AND OTHER MONTHLY INFO GAME 44 VS Charlotte Bobcats 2-1-12 Portland Or, Awful shooting in the 3rd quarter knocked Portland down and out, Portland scored 7 points in the 3rd, Blazers played without Center David Lee day to day with a twisted Ankle, JJ Hickson started at Center and Nic Batum Started at SF, Portland plays tomorrow on the road against The Kings, Blazers lose a tough one at home against a team they should beat at home.. But it was one of those nights.. Alridge was off tonight going just 8-24 from the field, PG Devin Harris who had back to back double digit assist games coming in, had just 2 assist, Blazers are now 21-23. The Kings who they face next are 16-30. Hicksons former team. Charlotte Bobcats (87) STARTERS Kemba Walker, 36, (5-10) 12-4-6 Gerald Henderson, 36, (7-9) 15-1-3 Tyrus Thomas, 37, (9-18) 22-10-0 Corey Maggette, 36, (2-12) 9-9-1 Boris Diaw, 35, (2-7) 9-10-2 Portland Trailblazers (75) STARTERS Devin Harris, 37, (7-14) 15-4-2 Jamal Crawford, 37, (5-18) 11-7-3 Nic Batum, 34, (1-5) 4-5-1 LaMarcus Aldridge, 38, (8-24) 18-9-0 JJ Hickson, 37, (6-9) 12-9-1 BENCH Kenneth Faried 23 (1-2) 2-7-0 Nolan Smith 14 (0-4) 2-1-2 Elliott Williams 11 (3-4) 7-1-1 Gordon Hayward 12 (2-5) 4-2-0 Timofey Mozgov 3 (0-1) 0-1-1 ================================================== ================================================== GAME 45 @ Sacramento Kings 2-2-12 Blazer get a much needed road win, And some great play off the bench from Gordon Hayward and Elliot Williams who combined for 25 points and 7 rebounds in 37 total minutes, Hickson had a off night in his return to Sacramento going 1-8 but did have 9 rebounds.... their is sources around the Blazers front office that they are interested in OKC PF Sege Ibaka who is upset with the Thunder and has requested a trade, However Portland has alot of PF's as it is that need minutes, JJ Hickson and Kenneth Faried need quality time, So it would be tough to add another PF, So Portland would probably trade Kenneth Faried, but they like his potential and last thing they wanna do is help the Thunder, But Ibaka brings alil better defense, maybe about the same offense, he is already 75 overall at 22 years old while Faried is only 70 overall at the same age, But Faried has a better Potential, Stay tune for more....

Re: RIP CITY-Portland Trail Blazers
Ok soooo I went ahead and simulated the rest of the season, I wanted to see if i was stuck with the generated rookie class or if i could use the 2013 class i downloaded, And i still have to use the games generated rookies, I did land the #1 pick via a trade earlier in the season from Toronto they ended up with the worse record and i got the #1 pick, and drafted the best player in the draf SG/PG OJ Hodges 77 overall already, May start at PG, Devin Harris was traded on draft night to Minnesota for there 17th pick and JJ Barea , we also traded them our 29th pick in the first round, In free agency i didnt have alot of spend but i went out and signed Alonzo Gee, I only had 4.88 to spend.. after signing the rookies. Im going to go ahead and keep this going, Sorry about skipping ahead, but i didnt feel like starting a new association, or going back and continuing this one from earlier in the season,
I like how the draft went and was a ok free agency, Ill update the off season stuff, And after this 2nd season, ill be able to use the real life draft class with Davis and Thomas Robinson etc, Barnes.... AND i forgot to write out everything that happened, I know Miami beat OKC in the finals, but as for like scoring champ and rebounding leader, and my players finals stats, the first year was mainly a testing year, and im going to stick with one thing this up coming season, iam going to play the first quarter and then sim the last 3, the next game will be half and half, and then the 3rd game will be played for the first 3 quarters and then the 4th quarter will be simmed, So in all, in 3 total games, there will be 6 simmed qtrs and 6 played qtrs........ I will have another post with more info on the off season... |
