Air Canada Centre, Toronto - Just minutes before tip-off the Heat announced that LeBron James and Dwayne Wade would play limited roles in game one. The two stars had played an extreme amount of minutes in the seven game war against the Celtics and could use some extra rest. Many expected Toronto to run away with the game because of this. They did not. Toronto did lead 43-33 at the half but a strong third quarter by Miami made it 58-56 after three. James played all of his 7 minutes in the 4th quarter and sparked Miami with 7 points. Miami won a nail biter 80-79. Following the loss Theo Thornton was seen shouting at his teammates and throwing locker room furniture. "You know when Spoelstra announced his plan with James and Wade I had to raise an eyebrow. Esentially they were giving up this game to set up for the rest of the series. Haslem and Battier really stepped up for them and got it done. This is an unacceptable loss. We didn't come to play. I'll take the blame on this one." a somber djp explained. Toronto hosts game 2 in 2 days and expects to see a heavy dose of James and Wade.

Air Canada Centre, Toronto - After dropping game one at home to a Heat team that sat LeBron and Wade for the majority of the game the Raptors would have to bring thier A game to defeat them with the duo of superstars in their usual role. Miami got off to a fast start but Toronto was able to settle in and pull within 2 after a quarter at 25-23. The second quarter was all Toronto and they were up 52-43 at the half. The second half was played very close and Toronto was able to hold on for the 96-93 win to even the series at 1-1. The teams will play two in Miami after a day off.

American Airlines Arena, Miami - Toronto headed south to face the Heat in game 3 in Miami. Early on it looked like Toronto would be stealing back their home court advantage when they jumped out to a 27-13 lead after the first quarter. Miami battled back to make it 49-42 at the half then led 76-71 after three. Following the first quarter former Raptor Chris Bosh took over the game. He finished with 36 points and 19 boards. Toronto managed to tie the game up on a strong quarter by Woolridge off the bench but a 12-0 run to start overtime was all Miami needed to take game three. "They always say young teams don't win in the playoffs. We have some veteran leadership but overall we're young. We lack a killer instinct." explained djp following the loss. Game 4 is tomorrow in Miami then it's back north for at least game five.
