Yeah, it definitely was. Missing all those free throws was driving me crazy, I felt like I wasn't going to be able to come back because of it. Then the lead shrunk to 6, then 4, then finally got it to a one-possession game. I was more focused on not turning the ball over than making a basket. I got lucky with the foul, made no sense to reach-in with under a minute to play and in the bonus!

Do you use REAL FT%? I do and I always feel that my team shoots too well at free throws (typically in the upper 70s to near 80%). Then again, with a power conference team, my players probably have better FT ratings, so perhaps that explains it. There's no slider for free throws (and I don't think "FT Difficulty" will affect free throws with REAL FT% on), so there doesn't see to be anything I can do about it.

I have Real FT% on and FT Difficulty at 70. I also have 3 players with FT ratings over 80 (Johnson - 86, Kotorbai - 84, Mattison - 81). Wisseh is 77 and one of my redshirts is a 76, then it's all downhill from there.

Re: The Coaching Legacy of Tyrell Coley (Ch2k8)

Was playing the game against Mount St. Mary's today and the game froze heading into halftime. I'm disappointed because it was probably one of the best offensive halves I've had in this game (was leading 40-38, Udanoh had 15 points).

I'm debating though, should I just sim this and go on to the next game or play it again? I feel like I wasted half an hour, so I'm not sure.

I don't even think it was the game that froze because the PS button on my controller didn't work. I think the whole PS3 froze. It's stuck on a black screen with nothing on it but "Player of the Half" in the bottom right corner. Have any of you ever encountered this problem?

Decided that I'm just going to sim this game and move onward.

There's no shame in simming in those circumstances, although the game was very much up in the air. Previously when I've had power outtages mid game I sim to make sure there is a similar result.

Of course, if you'd rather play it again, go for it.

January 26, 2008
Wellness, Recreation, and Athletic Center - Brooklyn, NY
Mount St. Mary's at Long Island

LIU-Brooklyn broke out to a huge lead early in the first half and avoided the completion of a late comeback to defeat Mount St. Mary's 69-60 in NEC play.

The Blackbirds (9-11, 4-5) are now tied with the Mountaineers (9-11, 4-5) for seventh place in the Northeast Conference, as both teams are just three games behind Sacred Heart (14-6, 7-2).

Tyrone Mattison led all scorers with 18 points, shooting 60% off the bench to led LIU-Brooklyn. Jaytornah Wisseh also scored in double digits with 11 points and four assists.

Jeremy Goode led Mount St. Mary's with 12 points, four rebounds, and six assists in the loss.

Long Island will take to the road and play Wagner next. The Blackbirds defeated the Seahawks 76-67 back on January 17th and will meet again exactly two weeks to that date.

I simmed this game due to it freezing the first time I played, hence why the update is so straightforward.

Re: The Coaching Legacy of Tyrell Coley (Ch2k8)

Side note, I have a Legacy that I'm simming through until I could get to the major conference...took me 20 SEASONS before getting offered by one. Took it immediately since I spent 12 years at Evansville (along with 5 at Maryland-Eastern Shore and 3 at Murray State) and in the 2027-28 season I'm coaching the New Mexico Lobos.

In 20 seasons, only managed to snag 2 4-star recruits and have yet to make it out the 1st round in 5 appearances (and 1 trip to the NIT). This game is tough but oh so rewarding.

Merry Christmas everyone.
