Salt Lake Superstars - A Utah Jazz Association

    Platform: Xbox 360
    Difficulty: All Star
    Quarters: 10 minutes
    58 Game Season
    Trade Deadline: On
    Playoffs: Best of 7

To this day, the Utah Jazz have yet to win a championship. The closet they have come was with John Stockton and Karl Malone. It seems like ages since they last graced the court. After the Jazz received Derrick Favors in a trade that sent Deron Williams to the Nets in exchange for the big man and Devin Harris, The Jazz's frontcourt has become scarier than ever. The Jazz are determined to win a championship in at least the next five years.

      Jazz hire new GM

The Jazz hired a new General Manager in Joshua Castle. Castle was a former coach of the Cape Verde AfroBasket team at the age of 20 in the 2007-2008 season. This makes Castle the youngest GM in NBA history at the age of 24. Reporters sat down with him after he landed in Salt Lake City.

Reporter: You were the former coach of the Cape Verde AfroBasket team, and now your the GM of an NBA franchise. How does it make you feel and what kind of pressure does being in this position put on you?

Castle: Well first, It feels great to be part of such a great franchise. I know managing a team on the court is much different than managing an entire franchise but I think i will do okay. It puts a lot of pressure on me but i don't expect to have a powerhouse team straight of the bat but we will progress as we go along.

Reporter: You have a team that consists of Dominant big men, what are your plans for them?

Castle: I'll leave that up to the coach on utilizing their abilities but i would like to build around them and creating a great supporting cast.

        2011-2012 Season Recap
        Final Record: 25-33

        NBA Champions
        Spoiler

The Utah Jazz finished up the season with a record of 25-33 and missed the playoffs. "It's very disappointing, obviously we are doing something wrong that needs to be fixed." GM Castle explained.

Joshua Castle decided the the Jazz needed a change in management and fired head coach Tyrone Corbin and assistant coach Scott Layden. Corbin spoke with reporters after the news was told to the public.

"I had a great time coaching in Utah. The players, staff and fans treated me well, but i guess it's time to move on. I will always have a place in my heart for the Utah Jazz."

Scott Layden had nothing to say to reporters as he packed his things.
This leaves many pondering who the next head coach and assistant head coach will be. And also what pick the Jazz will get in the lottery.

                      Off Season Moves

The Utah Jazz started making changes to the lineup quickly after the season ended. The Jazz decided not to offer contract extensions to Backup Point Guard Earl Watson and Small Forwards Josh Howard and CJ Miles.
"These are great guys, but they didn't perform as well as they should've so we are letting the go into Free Agency to test their worth." GM Castle said.

This Move leaves Gordon Hayward as the only SF on the roster. Reports say that the Jazz plan to make a splash in free agency.

                        World Peace for All

The Utah Jazz signed former Lakers Small Forward Ron Artest, now named Metta World Peace. World Peace won several championships with the Lakers but decided to move on and test free agency. "It's a great feeling to still be wanted by a team. I'm getting up there in age but i still perform with a high level of intensity." World Peace told the media. World Peace is expected to come off of the bench and provide a strong defensive effort when Gordon Hayward struggles. World peace signed to a 2 year 2.15M deal.

                          Re Uniting in Utah

Shortly after signing Metta World Peace, The Utah Jazz signed former Lakers Point Guard Derek Fisher. Fisher had a short stint with the Utah Jazz but asked to released to care for his ailing daughter. The Lakers did not offer a contract extension to Fisher at the end of the season. Fisher will not play very many minutes but will provide veteran leadership and pep talk the team during crunch time. "I'm an old man now, I don't expect as many minutes as i got with the Lakers but I'm glad to be back with the Utah Jazz and i hope I can teach these young guys a thing or two." Fisher said at a press conference. Fisher will most likely be the 11th or 12th man playing behind Devin Harris and Marquis Teague.

                            Military Man comes to Utah

On the final day of free agency the Utah Jazz signed undrafted Center and Military veteran Bernard James to a 1 year 480k deal. James served in the Military before going to Florida State. The Jazz watched him closely during his time in the NCAA. James is expected to be a roster filler for now and a back up plan if Jefferson or Kanter are injured. there has been speculation that he will be moved to the 4 spot behind Paul Millsap and that Derrick Favors will become the Sixth Man behind Al Jefferson.

                              Final Roster

                              Devin Harris

Devin Harris is the starting Point Guard for the Utah Jazz. Harris' main goal is to create shots for Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson. He will handle the ball up and down the court and take open shots when anyone else is being double teamed and will be the pick and roll ball handler.

                              Alec Burks

Alec Burks will be the starting Shooting Guard of the Utah Jazz. Alec's main goal is to hit mid range and 3 point jumpers. He will be the main wing player.

                              Gordon Hayward

Gordon Hayward will start at the Small Forward position. Hayward's goal is to set screens to free up his teammates, drive to the basket when one on one with players slower than him and hit open 3's. He can drive and he can hit from outside the arc giving him a deadly combination of skills.

                              Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap will be the starting Power Forward for the Utah Jazz. He will be the main scoring threat on pick and rolls and inside the paint. The team looks to him for rebounding and blocking.

                              Al Jefferson

Al Jefferson will be the starting Center for the Utah Jazz. Jefferson will be the main scorer in the post and the team looks to to knock down shots from inside and from mid range. Jefferson will team up with Paul Millsap in crashing the boards.

                              Derrick Favors

Derrick Favors will be the 6th man coming off of the bench and play behind Paul Millsap. The team looks to him for his rebounding and defense.

                              Metta World Peace

Metta World peace will be the 7th man coming off the bench for the Utah Jazz. World Peace will help provide a solid defensive effort against opponents that outmatch Gordon Hayward.

                              Marquis Teague

Marquis Teague will fill the 8th spot on the roster for the Utah Jazz. Teague will also be the No. 2 Point Guard behind Devin Harris. The Jazz hope to mold Teague into a superstar score first, pass second PG. His NBA Comparison is his older brother Jeff Teague.

                              Raja Bell

Raja Bell will fill the 9th spot on the Utah Jazz roster. Bell is the No.2 Shooting Guard behind Alec Burks. Bell is nearing the end of his career and will take on less minutes but more of a leadership role.

                              Enes Kanter

Enes Kanter will take the 10th spot on the roster. He will be the No.2 Center behind Al Jefferson. There will be rare occasions when Kanter will be subbed in for Millsap or Favors to see how the two big men work side by side.

                              Derek Fisher

Derek Fisher will be the 11th man on the roster for the Utah Jazz. Fisher will be the No.3 Point Guard behind Devin Harris and Marquis Teague. DFish will average around 6 min but will be the the motivational speaker during pre game and at the half. Fisher will be there to provide the most veteran leadership.

                              John Jenkins

John Jenkins will round out the bench as the 12th man for the Utah Jazz. Jenkins will play the role of No.3 Shooting Guard behind Alec Burks and Raja Bell. Jenkins will move to No.2 shooting guard if and after Raja Bell retires or chooses a smaller role.

                              Jeremy Evans

Jeremy Evans will be on the roster as a reserve player for the Utah Jazz. Evans will not play in every game. Evans will be in attendance with the team but will not suit up unless there is an injury or the roster is depleted.

                              Bernard James

Bernard James will also be listed on the roster as a reserve player. James will only see playing time if someone on the roster is injured and minutes need to be filled.

                              Khris Middleton

Kris Middleton will not see the NBA court this year. Instead, Middleton will be sent to the D-League to improve his skills. Middleton showed the least amount of skill during training camp and will have to improve in the D-League for a season or two.
