Yep your definitely right. However I may hold off bumping the difficulty until the patch comes out as when I play on All-Star difficulty, the CPU tends to grab an absurd amount of offensive rebounds (about 20 per game ..). But we'll see. If I easily beat the Lakers in the next game then I'll definitely be changing the difficulty. However on my last match with the Mavs, it was neck-and-neck until the end of the 3rd quarter where I started pulling away, but my lead never exceeded 10+. So will definitely monitor the situation as the season progresses.

Re: The Association: Orlando Magic

Lakers @ Magic

Kobe carries the Lakers past the Magic for a convincing 112-98 win.

Recap

Unanimously, Kobe Bryant was named Player of the Game, torching the Magic with 37 points. Dwight Howard returned, after being out of action for 2 weeks due to injury, to face his former team and a quite hostile crowd. However he soon began to silence the crowd by grabbing a game high 19 REB whilst dropping 17 points.

Jameer Nelson kept the game close for most of the first half with a respectable 20 points & 8 AST. Maurice Harkless once again proved that his previous games were no fluke, posting 14 points & 7 REB. With his game rising, Harkless is now starting to get noticed around the league with some sportswriters consideing him as a candidate for Rookie of the Year.

Trailblazers @ Magic

Trailblazers edge the Magic 108-107 as Lillard nails the game winner with 0.3 seconds left.

Recap

Down by 10 points with 2 minutes to play, the Magic almost pulled off a miracle when Afflalo knocked down 3 consecutive triples. However with 0.3 seconds left, the Magic tried for an inbounds alley-oop to Vucevic for the win but the pass made by Turkoglu was off target.

Lillard was named Player of the Game with 26 points, 6 REB & 7 AST. LaMarcus Aldridge was a close second posting 28 points & 9 boards.

Arron Afflalo scored a season high 33 points while Glen Davis posted 16 points & 11 boards. Jameer Nelson also had a well-rounded game with 11 points & 14 AST.

76ers @ Magic

76ers blow out the Magic 115-101.

Recap

The game was pretty much over by half time with the 76ers having a commanding 68-52 point lead. Jrue Holiday led the way with 20 points, 10 AST & 4 STLS. Evan Turner chipped in 21 points & 8 REB while Andrew Bynum had a quiet but effective double-double posting 14 points & 10 REB.

The Magic's offense looked terrible as the starters sat for the majority of the second half. One positive note is that Al Harrington finally broke out of his shooting slump (he was 8-21 in the past 5 games) and scored 20 points. Rookie Mo Harkless flirted with a triple-double with 12 points, 7 REB & 8 AST.

Magic @ Knicks

Carmelo's 45 too much to handle for the Magic as the Knicks win 114-102.

Recap

Melo was absolutely unstoppable in the 4th quarter, totalling 45 points & 11 REB. Iman Shumpert also had a near triple-double with 15 points, 9 REB & 13 AST.

As for the Magic, Afflalo's 29 points & 10 REB was not enough, nor was Al Harrington's contribution of 26 points. Jameer Nelson once again struggled with his shot (7-20 FG over the past 3 games) but did well in other aspects of the game. He ended up with 5 points, 10 REB & a season high 17 AST. Impressively, Nelson has now reached double digit assist figures in 5 games this season now (he only averaged 5.7 assists last season).

Re: The Association: Orlando Magic

Grizzlies @ Magic

Grizzlies stave off Magic 128-120 despite a strong late rally from the Magic.

Recap

The Grizzlies looked like they had this in the bag after the first three quarters, however strong play from the Magic bench brought the team back to life. E'Twaun Moore led the Magic rally with 15 points, 8 AST & 3 STLS. Arron Afflalo was red hot during the first half but cooled down in the second half, ending the game with 27 points.

Despite the strong play from the bench, the Magic's late rally fell short, mainly due to Rudy Gay's game high 33 points and 11 REB. In addition, Mike Conley was everywhere, scoring 16 points, 7 REB, 12 AST & 5 STLS.

Re: The Association: Orlando Magic

Magic @ Nuggets

Nuggets fend off Magic's relentless fourth quarter comeback to win 123-119.

Recap

Kenneth Faried was named Player of the Game, dominating the offensive boards with a total of 12 REB (7 OREB), 25 points & 2 STLS. Gallinari also contributed with 33 points & 9 REB despite his off shooting night (12-30 FG, 3-14 3PT). With Ty Lawson out with plantar fasciitis, veteran Andre Miller filled the void with an impressive near triple-double (8 points, 11 REB & 12 AST). Corey Brewer was also magnificent filling in for Iguodala (who will be out for the season due to a torn MCL), scoring 16 points, 7 REB & 7 AST.

The Magic were again looking to be blown out but decided to turn it on late in the fourth quarter all thanks to rookie Harkless who sparked the comeback with 2 consecutive fast break dunks. He ended up with 10 points, 6 REB, 4 AST & 2 STLS. Hedo Turkoglu was thoroughly impressive scoring all his 20 points in the fourth quarter including 4-7 from 3PT range. Glen Davis contributed with 22 points & 8 REB as did Arron Afflalo who scored 20 points. Jameer Nelson once again lighted it up with his assists tally, totalling 15 for the game despite only scoring 7 points.

Re: The Association: Orlando Magic

Rumor Mill

ESPN sportswriter Chris Broussard is reporting that the Orlando Magic are considering trading for a young guard for the future. Obviously the Magic are looking to rebuild with young talent which means veteran Jameer Nelson would be the odd man out. However, his current contract is making him quite difficult to move around. The players that the Magic are reportedly looking into are Patty Mills (SAS) and Tyreke Evans (SAC).

Coming off an impressive Olympic campaign, Mills is a terrific scorer who possesses incredible quickness. Though he may not be the saviour for the Magic, Mills can definitely contribute to the team and add another firing power to coach Vaughn's offense.

The former Rookie of the Year has not really broken out ever since his rookie season. Though injuries plagued him during his sophomore year, the Kings are starting to get impatient and are already loaded in the back-court with young talent from Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Thornton. Perhaps a scenery change is best for both parties and a trade to Orlando would certainly help to rejuvenate Evan's career. The only question is, at what cost are the Magic willing to give. Will they gamble on Evans and perhaps give up key pieces (Afflalo, Davis, etc.) or even their first round pick ... time will tell as this rumor will certainly heat up as the trade deadline nears.
