Kings Name Williams New GM

In a unexpected move today, the Sacramento Kings have named young 23 year old Tennell Williams as the new general manager of the team. Williams, who was the GM of the LA DeFenders, will become the one of the youngest General managers in NBA history.

Williams stated that he won't blow up the team in one year but some changes will be made. "We have some great young pieces on the team, starting with our franchise center Demarcus Cousins. We will need him to step up this year and become the leader i know he is."

When asked about an contract extension for guard Tyreke Evans, Williams stated that talks are ongoing and he hopes to get a deal done before the Oct. 31 deadline.

Kings Front Office 10/29/12

Arn Tellem (Tyreke Evans agent) walks into GM Tennell Williams office.

"Morning Arn. you ready to crucnch some numbers?"

Arn Tellem takes a seat.

"Tyreke wants to stay here but we need to know if you want him here. Been hearing rumors swirling about you trading him."

Tennell chuckles to himself.

"Come on Arn, you know a GM's job is to always try to improve his team. No one player is more important then the team."

Arn Tellem pulls out some paperwork.

"Well then, looking at some of the extensions the draft class of 09' has received, Tyreke deserves something in the 10-12 million a year price range."

Tennell gives Tellem a "WTF" look.

"Are you serious? 10-12 mill? Maybe the old regime would've given him something like that but their long gone. bring the number down then maybe we can talk."

Tellem picks up his briefcase.

"Well I guess i'll be leaving. But i can guarantee you that he can get that and maybe more on the open market."

Tennell stands up from his desk.

"Is that a threat Arn? I don't take those kindly."

Tennell snaps his finger and a large body guard comes out the back room.

"Can you please show Mr. Tellem is way out."

The guard lifts Tellem by his collar and carries him out the office.

Tennell sits back down at his desk and starts texting on his phone.

10-12 mill huh. He must have me confused with the Toronto Raptors...
