Big Men Shine In Opening Night Win

Detroit -- The Detroit Pistons spoiled James Harden's Rockets debut as they beat Houston 112-95 on Wednesday night.

Rookie big man Andre Drummond had a dominate debut finishing with 27 points and 15 rebounds in 33 minutes. "I was very impressed with Andre out there tonight," said head coach Lawrence Frank. Most of Drummond's points came off lobs and putbacks but he did sprinkle and few post moves in.

Fellow big man Greg Monroe also finished with an impressive double double of 25 points and 12 rebounds.

After a high scoring first quarter in which they scored 33 points but gave up 34 to the Rockets, the Pistons defense became better throughout the game holding the Rockets to 43% shooting. Chandler parsons led the Rockets with 26 points in the loosing effort. Jeremy Lin finished with 15 points and 10 assist while James Harden chipped in 12 points and 7 assist.

"So what's the problem Frank?"

"What do you mean Tyson? The season is still young."

"Yeah it is but we've lost three straight games and gave up 110+ points in all of the!"

Tyson slams the papers with stats on them on the desk.

"Look you sent my best wing defender home. What the hell did you expect?"

"I told you day one when i took over that your on a short lease. If you don't get things together soon, your gone."

Coach Franks paces around the room with his hands on his waist.

"So are we moving Tayshaun or not?"

"I've been calling around the league and there's not alot of interest. That contract Dumars gave him really screwed us over. I got a call from Mitch about a Peace/Prince swap."

"Wtf? Are you serious. He wants to send us the same guy that beat the crap out of our fans?"

Tyson laughs as he typed away on his phone.

"I told him the only way i would do that is if i got a 1st rounder in return."

"But that picks would be at the bottom of the 1st round. About the same as a 2nd rounder."

"I know that but we need all the assests we can get.

As Coach Franks about to speak, Tyson's cell phone started to ring. He picks it up and answers it.

"Hey how are you doing R.C..................

Exactly. Storyline opportunities are rich. MWP spends his final days in the NBA (assuming you resign him) making up for his greatest sin as a player. Rich vein to mine there.
