Gonna mess with the sliders a bit, I haven't posted the post yet but I'm shooting at an incredible rate. Leading the league so far at 54% FG shooting -____-

If only the real Lakers could've played like this haha

Lakers rout Jazz 113-94 behind Bryant's 32 points

The Lakers sure did make it look easy, winning 112-97, led by Kobe Bryant's most efficient game of the season. Off to a hot 4-0 start, the Lakers had 3 days off before playing Utah, getting off to a fast start led by Kobe Bryant who had 10 points in the first quarter on 2/2 shooting, and 8/8 from the free throw line. MWP would also add 8 points in the quarter to help the Lakers take a 30-26 first quarter lead.

Throughout the 2nd quarter, the lead never exceeded 6 points thanks to excellent defense and shooting by both teams, as they seemingly traded baskets the entire quarter, that is, when the Lakers did shoot. In the first half, the Lakers shot 19/22 from the free throw line compared to Utah's 3/4. Dwight Howard would head into halftime with 14 points and 3 rebounds.

The 3rd quarter is where the Lakers took control of the game shooting 70% in the 3rd quarter on 12/17 shooting, while the Jazz shot just over 41% (10/24). Kobe would continue his stellar play finishing the quarter with 22 points 6 rebounds and 7 assists on 6/7 shooting to help push the Lakers lead to 88-73 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Kobe didn't take many shots, but when he did, he was open

Both the Jazz and Lakers would cool off in the 4th and a lead that reached 18 would dwindle down to 9, but the Jazz just didn't have enough to push through as the Lakers won their 5th game in a row toppling the Jazz 113-94.

D'Antoni to Make Changes to Scheme

By: Donte' Thomas | November 8, 2012

If you've been following the Lakers, you'll know that although the team is winning, their defense could use some tweaking, this is exactly what Lakers Head Coach Mike D'Antoni will be doing.

The Lakers, coming off of a 113-94 victory against the Jazz, are having too many blown assignments in their transition defense, and are giving up too many open jumpers at the beginning of the season. Rotations aren't crisp, help defense is poor, and it shows as the Lakers have given up at least 106 points in 3 of their 5 games.

Coach Profile Adjustments

Tempo - 45*/59
Defensive Pressure - 90*/35
Help D - 40*/35
Fast Break - 40*/40
Crash Offensive Glass - 70*/30

* denotes change

Take a look at the Lakers team statistics

1st in PPG 116.4 (Clippers #2; 112.7)
19th in PPG allowed (Cavs #30; 113.2 Bulls #1; 80.6)
1st in FG% .548 (Clippers #2; .498)
1st in 3PT% 54.9 (Kings #2; .477)
4th in FT % .824 (Bucks #1 .858)
1st in Assists 28.2 (Clippers #2; 28.0)
19th in Rebounds 46.0 (Nets #1; 53.8)
30th in ORebound 7.8, (Suns #1; 15.3)
30th in Steals 3.2 (Bucks #1; 9.0)
26th in Blocks 3.4 (Jazz #1; 7.0)
30th in TO per game 9.2 (Wiz #1;16.8)

As you can see, majority of these statistics are not realistic at all. FG%, 3PT FG% and FT% (with Dwight Howard, c'mon son) so I will be tweaking some sliders as well to hopefully get numbers to how they're supposed to be, and also stop these 110 point games.

Strong chise King. I have subscribed to keep up. Keep up the good work. Are you running Kobe as the point with your team? Just was wondering since he's almost averaging almost twice as many dimes then anyone else on the team.

Ahh! Thank you I appreciate it. How do you subscribe to a dynasty btw? I have to subscribe to quite a few.

As far as Kobe, I have him as the starting small forward, with Darius Morris at the 2 (it was a lineup they used in real life) and I like MWP coming off the bench as a 6th man to help give the bench some kind of stability. What I'm thinking gets Kobe's those assists is I get doubled alot in the low post and kick out, which is why I think the 3PT FG% is so high.

I really dislike averaging that many assists with Kobe, I added a gang of pick&roll plays for Nash for him to get his assists but he just doesn't and it bugs haha. But he and Morris split time at running the plays so I think that's a part of it too.

Re: Backstage Lakers: A Journey for #6

I'm the same way. I post Gasol and Howard up a lot. They get quite a few dimes for me as well. Kobe not so much. I use him as my arc shooter. Have you tried driving to the basket with Nash and then passing it off like he does in r/l? That works for me as well. I average around 10 dimes per game with Nash.
