Nets win second straight game after losing 2 consecutive in Florida

The Brooklyn Nets came out of the game vs the Miami Heat trying to turn things around and stay with one loss. They did not exactly do that, losing to Orlando by a large margin. They turned around and beat Orlando in the Barclays Center before a great PG matchup between Deron Williams and Kyrie Irving. The Nets got the best of Cleveland, by winning 93-84.

Things went great for Brooklyn and new addition Paul Millsap. This was Millsap's first game. He had 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals in a stellar first game. Deron Williams led the way though with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 17 assists. He continues to put up monster numbers early in the year. Brook Lopez had 16 points and ten rebounds, while Gerald Wallace really contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Joe Johnson had a below-average performance with 7 points and 3 rebounds. Raja Bell picked up his slack off the bench with 7 points as well. Jerry Stackhouse had 4 points and 5 rebounds while CJ Watson had 4 points. Andray Blatche had 3 while Tyshawn Taylor had 2.

As for the Cavs, they were led by big men Anderson Varejao and Jon Leuer. Varejao had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and a steal. Leur had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals along with 2 blocks. Alonzo Gee had 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Kyrie Irving had a near triple double with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists. He had 8 turnovers though, and was 6-16 from the floor. Dion Waiters had 13 points. That was almost all the scoring, as the bench put together a lackluster performance.

For the Nets, they are now 5-2 while the Cavs are 3-5.
