Young Kosta Koufos done for 2012-13 season

Kosta Koufos, young center for the Denver Nuggets, has torn his achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 season. With Kenneth Faried still healing from a torn labrum, this is a big blow to the Nuggets' frontcourt. Expect Anthony Randolph and Wilson Chander to pick up additional minutes.

Further, versatile swingman Danilo Gallinari has completely healed from his ankle injury suffered in the first game of the year. His minutes will start to pick up again, and expect more production out of Gallinari.

Finally, backup PG Andre Miller is dealing with a sore knee. The injury isn't considered serious, but could possibly limit his minutes in the immediate future.

In the loss, Wilson Chandler suffered a high ankle sprain and will be out for 2-4 weeks. Chandler was starting for the injured Kenneth Faried, and his void will leave opportunities for Anthony Randolph and Corey Brewer to step in and contribute.
