The Guards: My Take: The guards, especially the starting two, are the driving force of this team. Monta Ellis is hands down the best player on the team, and is one of the best scorers in the NBA. A career 20 PPG scorer, Ellis is known as a ballhog player, but in actuality is an underrated passer as evidenced by his 6 APG average last year. His sidekick in the backcourt Brandon Jennings is another crafty scorer with elite quickness. Jennings is another terrific scorer, but his doubters have knocked his career 39% FG and his low assist numbers. Now with a capable partner in Ellis, those numbers look to rise. Beno Udrih is more of a change of pace backup to Jennings, and is best suited by setting up his teammates and knocking down mid-range jumpers. Doron Lamb, a rookie, won't play very much due to lack of space on the roster. Right now, Lamb is a decent shooter from everywhere on the court, and the Bucks are hoping he can develop another skill to cement a spot on this roster.
The Forwards: My Take: This forward group has a bunch of depth, but no single player jumps off the page as the star of this group. Starting power forward Ersan Ilyasova from Turkey is arguably the best pure shooter on this roster, and he will be used to space the floor for the slashing guards in the back court. Ilyasova is also a very good rebounder for his position, but will struggle guarding down in the post. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is the exact opposite of Ilyasova, a guy who will make coach Scott Skiles cringe every time he attempts a jumper, but is very good at guarding his position. Larry Sanders is the best post defender of the forwards and will serve as the teams sixth man. Sanders is another good rebounder at the 4, and can score the occasional bucket on the inside. Mike Dunleavy another very good shooter will be used mainly as Monta Ellis' backup. On a team full of forwards, rookie John Henson isn't likely to play much early on, but may see minutes as the season progresses. Drew Gooden is a wily vet who will get minutes playing backup center. Tobias Harris and Ekpe Udoh will be fighting daily for minutes.
The Centers: My Take:Samuel Dalembert is the "no duh" pick for the starting center spot. The big guy from Seton Hall is very good at defending the post and rebounding the basketball. Samuel is a guy who can give you the occasional bucket, and is a decent free throw shooter. Joel Przybilla is nothing more than a good locker room guy. He'll likely be a reserve since the team is as deep at it is in terms of big men.

Rajon Rondo's 14 assists were a key driving force in a Celtics victory
Against two of the better perimeter defending guards in the NBA, Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis struggled from the field.
"I was very pleased with the shots Monta and Brandon were taking," said Bucks coach Scott Skiles. "If they were given the same opportunities, I'd tell them to keep shooting. Being the first game of the year, I think the guys were just jittery and that resulted in misses."
The Bucks dynamic duo in the back court did struggle from the field, but both players did a great job getting teammates involved as both players racked up 8 assists.
On the other side of the ball, the Celtics' bench led by Jason Terry and Leandro Barbosa did a very good job scoring the ball and Boston's 33-20 advantage in bench points proved to be too much for Milwaukee to handle.
Avery Bradley (19 points) and Kevin Garnett (16 points) led the Celtics, especially during the third quarter where Boston outscored Milwaukee 31-22.
