Re: RIP CITY- Trail Blazers Dynasty

REGULAR SEASON OPENER NEWS AND NOTES

Well the season us about to kick off... new faces in new places including Dwight Howard in Sacramento, and the retirement of Steve Nash, the Lakers were one and done with the Nash, Howard Kobe, Gasol experiment, It was not a total collapse has the Lakers went to the Finals but lost in 6 to the Bulls. I think the Lakers just couldnt afford to resign Howard to a long term deal and also re sign Gasol and Kobe in the off season, Kobe is making 30 million this season and Gasol 19 million, Howard took his act to Sacramento, interesting signing as the Kings dont seem anywhere near a title run, but maybe Howard wants to be the man to take them there...

Key Injuries have already hit some teams hard in the pre season, none bigger then Milwaukee and Brandon Jennings, Jennings was coming off his first all star appearance last season averaging 22.5 pts, 4.1 rbs, 8.3 ast per game all career highs, Jennings was injured in the Bucks 2nd pre season game against the Trail Blazers.. He Tore his MCL and is out for the season. tough loss.... Also out for a long period is former #1 Pick Anthony Davis from the Hornets, he will be out 6-8 weeks with a broken arm, Also the Clippers lose all star Blake Griffin for 4-6 weeks with a broken foot.. Pacers starters Danny Granger and Paul George are still recovering from their serious injuries last season, Granger still could be out 6-8 weeks with his torn MCL, George could play with his sore knee but full recovery is listed as 6-8 weeks..

other notable injuries, Lakers PF Pau Gasol is day to day with a dislocated finger, and Cavs PG Chris Paul...YES CAVS PG.... is dealing with a bruised heel but he can still play...

The off season was filled with some interesting draft picks and free agent signings, the Cavs spent money for Chris Paul while already having Kyrie Irving.. on top of that.. they used their #2 pick on another PG, of course these guys can play SG to, but very interesing by the Cavs. The Bobcats did kinda the same thing. the #1 pick went to Charlotte and they drafted PG Dexter Gilbert and they already have Kemba Walker, The Steal of the draft came when Portland was offered from the Hornets, the 4th overall pick for Wesley Matthews and Portlands first round pick next year... Portland ended up picking Brendan Dawson who could very well be the rookie of the year.. he comes to Portland rated 80 overall already, only Aldridge and Batum are rated higher... and at 6-8 240 he has a LeBron James type frame, If he wins ROY, Portland could have back to back Rookie of the year winners and their 3rd since 2006, Brandon Roy, Damian Lillard and possibly Brendan Dawson.

Former Blazers JJ Hickson signed with the Pacers and Greg Oden landed in Charlotte both as starters, Andray Blatche also signed with Indiana So once Granger and George come back this team could make big waves in the East.
talk about another PG overload, Pistons have Brandon Knight who was their starter til they signed Gilbert Arenas, Knight goes from starter to prospect.. and then they went out and signed Aaron Brooks, as a 6th man, Some teams look as if they are trying to win now.

The Blazers open the season on the road at the New York Knicks.. Portland made alot of moves in the off season and u can catch their roster on the roster link. road not so sweet road.... The Blazers have one game in October @ NY on Halloween night. And then 11 road games in November and only 5 home games.. They will be road tested early.. And they play @ Lakers 2 times in one month, including @ the Clippers, @ Golden State were they always struggle and @ N.O, remember the Blazers traded Matthews to the Hornets for the 4th pick, in which i think the Hornets would like to have now that Davis is out at least 2 months.... GO BLAZERS

Re: RIP CITY- Trail Blazers Dynasty

2013-2014 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS ROSTER

PG Damian Lillard, 6'3-195, 2nd yr, 79
PG Andre Miller, 6'2-200, 15th yr, 71
SG Michael Redd, 6'6-215, 13th yr, 71
SG Will Barton, 6'5-170, 2nd yr, 66
SF Nic Batum, 6'8-200, 6th yr, 83 (Starting at SG)
SF Brendan Dawson, 6'8-240, R, 80
SF Chase Budinger, 6'7-218, 5th yr, 72
PF LaMarcus Aldridge, 6'11-240, 8th yr, 88
PF Omer Ozat, 6'11-236, R, 68
C Sam Dalemburt, 6'11-250, 13th yr, 72
C Robin Lopez, 7'0-255, 6th yr, 68
C Meyers Leonard, 7'1 245, 2nd yr, 66

Losses- Wesley Matthews traded to Hornets, Elliot Williams traded to Denver, Greg Oden signed with Charlotte, Luke Babbitt traded to Denver

Additions- Robin Lopez Signed as a free agent, Andre Miller traded for, Sam Dalemburt signed as a free agent, Chase Budinger signed as a free agent, Michael Redd signed as a free agent, Omer Ozat drafted in the 1st round pick #12 overall (portlands pick), Brendan Dawson picked in the 1st round #4 overall (traded for NO's pick).

The Blazers for sure have a bench this season, All 5 main bench players at one point have started for other teams, Miller, Budinger, Dalemburt, Redd and Lopez, The question is who will win the battle for the 9th 10th spot for minutes Redd or rookie Ozat, you would figure Redd since Ozat plays PF and their is already Aldridge, Lopez,Dalemburt and Leonard as big men.. The Blazers are looking at mainly a 9 player rotation, Andre Miller, Budinger and Dalemburt look to be the main 3 off the bench, with Lopez and Ozat or Redd getting the rest... Barton may seem some time here and there...

Depth Chart
PG-Lillard
SG-Batum
SF-Dawson
PF-Aldridge
C-Leonard

C-Dalemburt
PG-Miller
C-Lopez
PF-Ozat mainly playing due to injury to budinger*
SG-Redd
SG-Barton

Injured-Budinger as of 10/31/13- Strained Hamstring 2-4 weeks

First 5 games
10/31 @ Knicks
11/2 @ Wizards
11/3 @ Orlando
11/6 Vs Pacers (home opener)
11/7 @ Memphis
* I dont think the schedule maker likes Portland, 4 road games and 2 back to backs*

** I will probably do 5 games at a time and then do a recap on the games and around the league**
10/31

Re: RIP CITY- Trail Blazers Dynasty

another one bites the DUST... omg first i have the freeze issue on ncaa13 when i click on supersim, every now and then it freezes,

now it does it on NBA2k13 when i try to resign position as a GM, i went to Philly to change something the cpu did.. and now i cant get back to my team Portland.. wtf, I have a good young up and coming team, back to back rookie of the year players, and now im stuck, i can still play Portlands games and coach mode them but i cant control any trades or free agent signings, or off season stuf.. wth....

So now when i play NCAA13 I make sure im offline on my PSN account first.. cause it was always freezing when i was online, well on NBA2k13 it still freezes when im offline... wth
