The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

Hey guys! I'm starting a GM story. I want to recognize trekfan for the idea of making a general manager story. I'm gonna be using all default. From sliders to rosters and draft classes etc. Gonna be playing in 12 min quarters and probably gonna play 9 games per month or less depending on my time. Superstar/Sim. Hope you follow

Re: The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

"Harry Roth? Who's Harry Roth?"

"A young, talented and experienced candidate for the position. I've heard his name around the league. He knows his way around the two conferences."

"Really now? What has he done in the league?"

"Well, he started as a video coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks for a year I believe. He then became a scout for different teams. He pointed out Derrick Rose to the Bulls, Deron Williams to the Jazz, Chris Paul to the Hornets and ..."

"And what? I don't want any hidden details"

"Greg Oden to the Blazers and Kwame Brown to the Wizards."

Glen Taylor giggled for a second.

"Those are minor flaws sir. He knows his basketball."

"Minor flaws? Try telling that to the Blazers or the Wizards."

"Rose, Williams and Paul brought their respective teams to success. Why not give him a chance sir?"

Taylor gave him a sharp look.

"If you really like this kid then sign him, I'm giving you full responsibility Mr. Anderson. Don't disappoint."

Mr. Taylor stood and left the cafe.

Barry Anderson dialled a number in his phone.

"You got the job." then hung up.

Re: The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

The two men entered a big and gray office.

"Not much to see here. There's your desk and computer. Ms. Cornell please come in."

"Good morning Mr. Roth. I've heard so much about you. I'll be your secretary."

"Good morning Ms. Cornell."

"Thank you Ms. Cornell that would be all"

"She's cute."

"Yes she is. But anyway, today's the last day of training camp. Anything you wanna do?"

Harry was typing something in his computer.

"Yes actually, I wanna talk coach."

Barry clicked on his speed dial.

"Yes yes. Good morning Mr. Adelman. Mr. Roth wanted to speak to you."

He hung up.

"Just expect him to be here within an hour."

"Thank you Barry."

His assistant GM left his office.

It's the start of his new job. He has to make the most of it.

Re: The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

Roth was watching TV when a man in gray suit, probably in his mid 50s, stepped inside the office.

"You must be Mr. Rick Adelman. It's such an honor."

They shook hands.

"You seem better than the previous sucker who used to sit there."

"Well. Thank you?"

They both laughed.

"What do you wanted to talk about?"

"I just wanna know how the team is doing."

"They're good. But not good enough to win a title. Sure we have Love and Rubio but we still need a missing piece."

"I have assembled teams of different kinds. I've assembled big and defensive teams who bully any frontcourt in the paint. I assembled small and quick teams to who can overwhelm anyone with their speed and agility. I made a team once who's offense is better than any team in their league."

"Our offense is one of our strengths. We have decent shooters from the bench. We have Love and Rubio can compliment him."

"I get the idea. Just try to make Love happy. I'm gonna check every team's roster. Anything I need to know?"

"Yes. Roy is injury prone. We can't build a contender with that."

"Are you saying we should trade him?"

"I'm not saying anything. But if you think it's for the best."

Adelman stood up and stood by the door.

"I starting to think that you would bring us to the promised land Mr. Roth. Goodbye."

His words rang in his head. Many people are expecting great things from him. He shouldn't disappoint.

Looks like Mr. Trekfan has issued a GM Story revolution. Not complaining.

Re: The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

Oden was actually really good when he stayed healthy, and he was a beat in college. Hard to blame Roth for taking him.

Kwame Brown, on the other hand...

Good luck, I am following.

Re: The GM Story of Harry Roth (NBA 2k13)

Rockets send Chandler Parsons to Timberwolves for AK47 and 2013 1st rounder

"Parsons is someone we can use in the team. He will be an integral part of the team's offense with Love and Rubio." says Timberwolves GM Harry Roth yesterday at the press conference.

It can also be inferred that one of the main reasons of the Wolves for this trade is to get rid of the 2yr/$20.00M contract of AK47. The 32 year old veteran can provide leadership and experience for the young Rockets team. GM Harry Roth is really spicing up the Timberwolves roster with the signing of Luke Zeller to a minimum contract. With the expiring contract of Nikola Pekovic, Zeller is rumored to take over the Center position if he continually develops. This is a very interesting project for the team.
