Re: Bull Run: A Season with the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls(NBA 2k13)

Jordan passes 25,000 point mark in win over Pacers

CHICAGO -- After struggling through a 5 for 15 first half with his team trailing by 3 at the half, Michael Jordan put on a second half performance that led the Bulls to a 103-92 win over the Indiana Pacers and put him into the NBA record book.

Needing 25 points reach the 25,000 career point mark, Jordan had just ten at the half and the Pacers looked like they could hand Chicago its first home loss of the season.

However, Jordan and the Bulls charged out of the locker room and held Indiana to just 17 points in the 4th quarter.

Jordan finished with 37 points(25,022 for his career) and added 6 assists and 2 steals.

As a team the Bulls forced 21 Pacers turnovers, six from point guard Mark Jackson.

Indiana sharp-shooter Reggie Miller had an inverse game from that of Jordan. Miller came out hot, but faded down the stretch, mostly due to MJ's suffocating defense, and finished 9 of 19(1-3 3pt) for 21 points.

Scottie Pippen scored 23 and Ron Haper had 12 points. Steve Kerr scored 10 points off the bench hitting all 4 shot attempts including 2-2 from three point range.

Dennis Rodman was back in the Bulls line-up for the first time in over a month and grabbed 10 rebounds while adding 5 points to help in the Bulls victory.

Chicago now heads out on the road for two straight games against Central Division Rivals, Cleveland and Detroit.

Re: Bull Run: A Season with the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls(NBA 2k13)

Bulls hang on late, avenge loss to Cavs

CLEVELAND -- Bobby Phills had a career night outscoring Michael Jordan 36-35.

However, Jordan and the Bulls would avenge their first loss of the season with a 103-100 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After Danny Ferry's dunk gave the Cavs a 99-98 lead with 40.3 seconds left in the game, in looked like Cleveland may hand the Bulls another loss.

Having been through experience with Jordan and the Bulls several times, the Cavaliers were determined to not let Jordan add another game winning highlight against them.

Cavs point guard Terrell Brandon doubled Jordan with Phills, leaving Ron Harper wide open at three point line. Jordan had the pass and Harper nailed the shot to put the Bulls ahead for good. Steve Kerr iced the game with two free throws.

"We owed them one," said Jordan, "They got one from us earlier, and we wanted this one real bad. We wanted to get even."

Jordan scored 27 of his points in the second after a slow start that had Chicago down by 11 points at the half.

Chicago turned the game in their favor with a 32-16 third quarter the featured Bulls runs of 17-4 and 13-3.

Cleveland fought hard, regained the lead but once again fell to late game heroics by Jordan.

The Bulls will a have an off day before a set of back to back games, first at Detroit, then back home in Chicago for a visit from the Knicks.
