Bobcats News

What a game last night. Hopefully you were able to catch it on TV otherwise you miss out big time!! Andre carter made a statement and a half last night in Charlotte's 115-113 win in Chicago. Everyone knows Noah has beef with Carter and that either will back down, well Carter put Noah on his backside well and truly last night.

Carters stat line of 53 points, 14 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 steal, 23-39 from the field and the game winning trey easily eclipsed Noah's 14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks on 7-18 shooting, that's a good game by Noah's standings but he isn't in Carter's league and I hopeful he knows it now. Someone who is in Carters league is Derrick Rose he scored 39 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists as he helped try to and get the Bulls across the line.

The game went back and forth all night, Cats up by 9 points at the first, Bulls up by 5 at half and the third term break. With the Bulls up by 1 point with 6 seconds left the Bobcats had the ball. Kidd-Gilchrist in-bounded the ball to CP3 who got trapped and passed out to the open Carter on the three line and he had know choice but to put the shot up with two defenders closing. Lucky for us he nailed it and the Bulls only had 0.8 seconds left with no timeouts.

Andre Carter is known for his three point shooting but he isn't the worst shot either. It was his 22nd of the season and he was feeling it all game. The Bobcats have now beaten the Bulls in all four games this season, I hope we play them in the playoffs it will be some of the hardest and toughest basketball ever played.

Re: The Allday Story: The Greatness is in The Air

Thursday 17th of April 2014

Talks with Coach Dan about playoffs and team - 11:00pm

Rick: "Dan I just want to say this first. You are the main reason we are in this spot. Yes we have good players and I esamble a good team but you are the one that made it all work. Going 66-16 is way above where we thought, 50 wins would of been great. Congrats on a great season, and now lets focus on winning it all."

Dan: "It's been a team effort Rick, everyone just committed to the plan and we excelled. Now we move onto the Cavaliers and start planning for them."

Rick: "Since game one isn't until Saturday, get Fred to do his own scouting report on them, I'll do what I can and you do yours and maybe that way we will get enough info from different views on how to dismantle them and win this series quickly."

Dan: "Great idea that will help me out a heap. We all know Kyrie Irving is there number one player and we know how Thomas, Gordon and Sessions operate. By the way why didn't Tyrus Thomas play like this last year? At least we got Waiters in the trade. C.J. Miles is another one we need to defend well as he scores quickly and at will if his hot."

Rick: "Noted. I think we have them covered at every spot, it will be a nice warm up series through as Miami and Chicago are possible Eastern Conference if we make it there. And either of them will be hard to beat."

Dan: "Yeah I want to get the boys as settled into playoff basketball as quick as possible, Chris is doing a great job as well he is the best mentor we could have."

Rick: "Yes he has been great, his a great guy also, money well spent. Alright Dan lets say 11:00am tomorrow, Me, you and Fred will meet and them have a training run at 1:00pm?"

Dan: "To easy bud. We will discuss tactics them."

Chapter VI - The Run to be Champions

2013/14 Playoff Preview

Well we finally made it, it has been a long and hard fought NBA season with so many teams that could of made the playoffs but just missed out. We have gone through all round one match ups and given our key match ups and winners. Also don't forget to fill out your bracket below to have a chance to win the ultimate NBA fan prize.

west conf playoffs.png

#1 Oklahoma City Thunder (57-25) v #8 Sacramento Kings (40-42)

The Thunder are raging favorites as the Kings were lucky to just sneak into the 8th seed on a win difference against the Timberwolves and Suns. The Thunder started the season slowly but have come home strong to easily be playing there best ball of the year. Kevin Durant took out his first MVP award and Russell Westbrook was easily in the top 6 players of the year.

Key Match-Ups:

1. Kevin Durant v Tyreke Evans - If the Kings are to have any chance Evans must have the best series of his life. He will be in-charge of stopping Durant and also putting up at least 20 points a night.

2. DeMarcus Cousins v Kendrick Perkins/Serge Ibaka - This is one area the Kings are winners. Cousins has matured this season and is now one of the best centers in the league. Perkins and Ibaka are both defensive specialist and if they can limit Cousins output on the score board they will be half way to the second round.

3. Russell Westbrook v Guards - Russell Westbrook is heads and shoulders above any of the Kings guards so it will need to be a group effort on him. Isiah Thomas will have the most time on him and is not as strong as Westbrook but he has a lot of heart. He will be looking to Marcus Thornton to help out at times.

Predicted Result: Oklahoma City Thunder in 4 games.

#2 Houston Rockets (45-37) v #7 Utah Jazz (41-41)

The Rockets and Jazz face off in the playoffs again. I remember the great McGrady/Yao v Williams/Boozer battles only a few years ago. This time James Harden is in charge of the Rockets and they are flying, with a good starting line up featuring Lin, Parsons, Robinson and Asik next to him they look like a serious contender. Royce White has gotten over his flying problems and has been great off the bench as well. As for the Jazz, Derrick Favours has improved greatly and with Millsap and Jefferson along side him they have the best front court in the league, and there back court isn't to bad either with Mo Williams and Jarrett Jack. This is one of the closes match ups of the playoffs.

Key Match-Ups:

1. Robinson/Asik v Jefferson/Millsap - With the fire power of Harden, Lin and Parsons this allows Robinson and Asik to focus on D more which will help as Millsap and Jefferson are the major contributors to the score board for the Jazz. This battle could decide the series.

2. Chandler Parsons v Derrick Favors - Both are still improving, play the Small Forward spot, but one is fast and can hit the three ball while the other is strong and good in the post. Who wins this battle? I'm tipping Parsons as Favors won't be able to keep up with him or defend him away from the post and he will run him into the ground.

3. Lin/Harden v Williams/Jack - Both pairs can pass well and score well but Lin/Harden have the edge mainly because of Harden. His scoring dropped a little this season but he is a lot smarter, and Lin's game has improved on last year. While Williams and Jack are good players they are not as quick and young as the Rockets pairing, and they aren't Harden.

Predicted Result: Houston Rockets in 6 (or 7) games.

#3 Denver Nuggets (44-38) v #6 San Antonio Spurs(41-41)

Well both teams just keep on surpising us. The Spurs keep getting older but keep winning and making the playoffs, and the Nuggets still are improving and beating good teams without an All-Star caliber player. Many thought with Iggy leaving for free agentcy it might hurt them and if anything team moral but it's actual helped them with Willson Chandler and Dan Gallinari rotating through the 2, 3 and 4 spots they have a great shooter on the floor at the SF at all times. And Ty Lawson is turning into an All-Star but isn't there just yet but he has improved a mile with Andre Miller by his side. The also have one of the deepest benches. Now the Spurs, Ducan, Parker and Ginobili are still the bread winners for them and either though they are aging they aren't slowing. Throw in Leonard and Jackson with the MIP Blair and the Spurs have been able to keep this team in the playoffs. Possible upset if they catch fire.

Key Match-Ups:

1. McGee v Duncan - It's old vs new. And I'm going to have to go with the old. Duncan has had another great year and will be the key for the spurs to win. What does McGee have to do? Block shots, if he can can in Duncan's face and in-front of him on every shot, this will allow him to altar a number of shots as Duncan isn't quick enough now to get past him.

2. Lawson/Miller v Parker/Ginobili - This is a line ball split. All four players are important to the team and if one has a bad night it puts pressure on the other to pick up the slack. This will be a tough battle that is for sure.

3. Wilson/Gillinari v Leonard/Jackson - This is were the Spurs will struggle. The Nuggets duo have been in fine form coming into the playoffs and I just don't see how Jackson can match up against either of them. Leonard has the speed and hops to match both players easily but his scoring powers ain't up there with these two.

Predicted Result: Denver Nuggets in 6 games.

#4 Los Angeles Lakers (43-39) v #5 Portland Trail Blazers (42-40)

Some how this Laker team still can't get it right and I think ther might be a big blow up coming. Howard has to stay but will the Lakers ship Kobe out after five championships who knows. Anyway the Lakers have underachieved and the Blazers have over achieved. The major factor in this series could be the injury to LaMarcus Aldridge who is still playing but at only 90% as he battles with a calf strain. The Lakers have the star power to contend if they get things right in the playoffs. If.

Key Match-Ups:

1. Bryant v Lillard - After winning the ROY last season Lillard has hit the second year blues hard or teams are paying more attention to him, either way he has had the freedom he once had and that has impacted his game. Bryant has dropped off this season but he is still Kobe. Expect him to stay up and show everyone this is still his team.

2. Hickson v Gasol - This will be a great match up. On one hand you have a slashing powerful scorer, Hickson, and on the other you have a skilled post player withgreat range, Gasol. Hickson needs to dominate this match up as the Blazers are undersized and underdone (Aldridge) at the Center.

3. Aldridge's Calf v Howard's Mind - The Blazers need Aldridge to be able to play 40 plus a night to be able to win 4 games against the Lakers, but if his calf doesn't hold up I don't like there chances. Howard has been quiet outspoken all season after signing on long term with the Lakers he has been calling for change and that it should be his team now just after the trade deadline, if he can keep a cool head and just play like he did in Orlando before the last year the Lakers will make the Conference Finals.

Predicted Result:
Los Angeles Lakers in 5 games

east conf playoff.png

#1 Charlotte Bobcats (66-16) v #8 Cleveland Cavaliers (42-40)

Charlotte have been almost unstoppable all season, now it's time for them to show the rest of the NBA that it they are a serious title chance, not just for this season but years to come. As for the Cavs they are back in the playoffs for the first time post LeBron and it's all thanks to Kyrie Irving, he has been great but also has been the reason why the Cavs last two first round picks have been shipped out but they received pieces that have helped them put a decent support cast around Irving as Sessions, Gordon and Thomas have all played improved ball after being shipped from Charlotte. On the other hand Dion Waiters now has his chance to show that the Cavs will regret getting rid of him. I don't see it being a close series, if they are lucky the Cavs might be able to steal one.

Key Match-Ups:

1. Chris Paul v Kyrie Irving - Both great point guards, one has leaded an almost new bunch of players into one of the best teams in the league his first season while the other is young and gifted leading a group of good players into a playoff berth in a city still crying about LeBron James. I think Paul has the upper hand because of the more mature head he has.

2. Andre Carter/MKG v Tristan Thompson/Jason Thompson/Tryus Thomas/Tyler Zeller - It will have to be a major effort by the Cavs four big men as they try to stop the athletic skills of Carter and MKG. Both players can go off at anytime and both are big on defense, if the Cavs are any chance of winning a game they must put a body on them, foul hard and knock them to the floor because these two are the best players out of the last two drafts and already know how to ball.

3. Dion Waiters v Ben Gordon - This time last year both players were on the other side and didn't know what was going to happen with there careers as they struggled on a lottery bound team, fast forward 12 months and both are on plagoff team and have had much better years. Now who wins this battle, both shot the three nicely, can fill up the scoreboard quickly and both are lacking on the defensive end. Looks even? The thing that splits them is that Waiters has hops, he can catch the ally-opp, slam it over taller players and is quicker up the floor. Watch him to have a big series.

Predicted Result: Charlotte Bobcats in 4 games.

#2 Miami Heat (52-30) v #7 Atlanta Hawks (42-40)

The Heat have done well this season with dealing with an injured Dwayne Wade as he was on and off the court all season long. LeBron took his game up another notch and even Chris Bosh finally started to play like he did in Toronto again. Also the mid-season trade for Jeff Teague has injected new life into the Heat as he has been playing out of his skin the last two months. As for the Hawks they are stuck in the rat race, not here nor there. Josh Smith and Al Horford are still there best players but either really have the ability to dominate for a playoff series. Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem have offered some championship experience to the Hawks and a couple more scoring options but it doesn't seem enough. Big man Pekovic has improved heaps as well but still looks a couple of seasons away from his best. The Hawks still might surprise us.

Key Match-Ups:

1. James LeBron v Josh Smith - We all now Smith can't match LeBron on scoring but one area he can match him is defenses. With the Hawks having other options to score Smith can put almost all his work into effecting LeBron, he won't be able to stop him all together but if he can take a couple of aspects out of his game it will go a long way to maybe helping an upset.

2. Jeff Teague v Mario Chalmers - Well everyone knew Chalmers wasn't happy about the trade and that Teague still hasn't gotten the smile off his face. Will this help fire Chalmers up? You bet it will. He has something to prove, he was the 4th wheel in the Miami juggernaut and hardly got his dues. Well now its his time and what better way then doing it against your old team and the guy they traded you for. Should be interesting basketball to watch.

3. Wade's Knee v Championship - If his knee gets better and he can play and play well, Heat win this easily and probably get to the conference finals with know problems. Only problem is his knee.

Predicted Result: Miami Heat in 6 games.

#3 Chicago Bulls (48-34) v #6 Brooklyn Nets (43-39)

Even with a healthy Derrick Rose this season the Bulls had to settle for the 3rd seed, they wanted higher but the only major player they added was a back up for Rose in Baron Davis. As for the Nets it has been another disappointing season for them as they struggle to use the talent they have. Even with the improvement from Lopez they still don't look like they have the big man to overpower other teams. This one I'm undecided on, it really could go either way.

Key Match-Ups:

1. Derrick Rose v Deron Williams - Whoever has the better series will be the one that carries there team into the second round. They are the best players on either team by a mile and will be the only reasons either team makes it or misses out.

2. Carlos Boozer v Brook Lopez - With Noah injued it's up to Boozer to stop Lopez and with the high difference and Boozer not really known for his defense it could be Lopez' time to shine. With Noah only being a 50/50 chance to play in this series this couple be a big miss match.

3. Luol Deng v Joe Johnson - These guys are the supporters. The can score, assist and rebound but they aren't elite. But they can be great, and which ever one is able to give there teams main man a break for 5 to 10 minutes a game while they go to work will be so valuable for the team.

Predicted Result: Chicago Bulls in 7 games.

#4 Philadelphia 76ers (48-34) v #5 Washington Wizards (49-33)

The Wizards will have home court advantage in this series as they finished with just the one more win then the 76ers. To be honest both sides overachieved by a mile and a half. Andrew Bynum got healthy and Turner decided to turn up for the 76ers while John Wall showed he is worth his max deal and Beal kept improving all year. This will be a great series to watch just because all the young stars are going to be front and center.

Key Match-Ups:

1. John Wall v Jrue Holiday - We all know Wall has gone to All-Star status now but don't sleep on Holiday. He is a great floor general and very leveled headed player. He can decide when he has to score and others need to score. As for Wall, he is a freak.

2. Bynum/Hawes v Okafor/Seraphin - Bynum is expected to play at a star level but the other three there have been balling out of there skin this season. It will be a major battle on the boards in this series as these four big, big bodies go flying into each other.

3.Evan Turner v Bradley Beal - Both are high draft picks who promised a lot, Turner took a while but is finally getting there and Beal as improved leaps and bounds in his second year. Both will need to show up and play a huge part if there team is a chance of taking this series out.

Predicted Result: Washington Wizards in 7 games.

Phone call with Frank - 11:49pm

Rick: "Yeah Frank whats up at this time of night."

Frank: "I've heard on the grape vine a rumour involving Lance Blanks."

Rick: "What has he done?"

Frank: "Well Antonio has a cousin who is in the Suns front office and he reckons Lance is planning to come out about you blackmailing him into making trades."

Rick: "What!?! He wouldn't, he doesn't want Leanna to know about his dirty secrets."

Frank: "She filled for divoces a week ago and has moved out, also his job is more then likely going to be made available."

Rick: "F***! This is not good Frank. I can get screwed over here big time, and after that bastard done me wrong!"

Frank: "Do you want me to pay him a visit boss?"

Rick: "No it won't work and if others no about this it will come back to us straight away."

Frank: "You just can't do nothing!?!"

Rick: "Don't worry Frank I'm not, I have a better idea."

Frank: "What do you need me to do?"

Rick: "Go see Leanna and take her the pictures and video tapes, tell her we will give her them which will help her in filling for divorce and get more and I will throw in 1 million if she makes up a story that Lance has lost the plot and is only trying to get me back because I showed her the tapes."

Frank: "I guess that is more sensible then what I had in mind."

Rick: "Yes it is Frank. You know where the tapes are, take 300k now and tell her the rest will be given to her after all this goes away. I'll get Sophie to book a flight now."

Round One Results and Recaps

west conf playoffs.png

#1 Oklahoma City Thunder defeated #8 Sacramento Kings 4-1

Game 1: Kings 97 - 109 Thunder
Game 2: Kings 74 - 101 Thunder
Game 3: Thunder 89 - Kings 107
Game 4: Thunder 99 - 90 Kings
Game 5: Kings 76 - Thunder 107

The Thunder were near perfect as Kevin Durant dominated the Kings as he averaged 23.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the series. Russell Westbrook averaged 22.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists to also star for the Thunder while Kevin Martin chipped in with 18.6 points a game. For the Kings it was never going to be easy but DeMarcus Cousins was a standout averaging 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds to give the Kings some hope for the future.

#2 Houston Rockets defeated by #7 Utah Jazz 4-3

Game 1: Jazz 74 - 108 Rockets
Game 2: Jazz 99 - 102 Rockets
Game 3: Rockets 91 - 106 Jazz
Game 4: Rockets 89 - 103 Jazz
Game 5: Jazz 93 - 95 Rockets
Game 6: Rockets 108 - 118 Jazz
Game 7: Jazz 112 - Rockets 111 O/T

Another Jazz-Rockets playoff series and another Jazz win. Mo Williams really stepped up, his 38 points including the buzzer beater to win in game 7 was amazing, he averaged 23 points and 5 assist for the series. Millsap and Jefferson dominated the glass as well which helped majorly through the series. For the Rockets Jeremy Lin had 20 points and 7 assist a game and Thomas Robinson stood up with 17 points and 10 boards a game but it was James Harden who let Rockets fans down, he averaged 16.2 points and 4.1 assists down from 19.7 and 5.5 in the regular season.

#3 Denver Nuggets defeated #6 San Antonio 4-1

Game 1: Spurs 84 - 91 Nuggets
Game 2: Spurs 80 - 97 Nuggets
Game 3: Nuggets 100 - 94 Spurs
Game 4: Nuggets 95 - 115 Spurs
Game 5: Spurs 122 - 126 Nuggets 2OT

The Spurs battled as hard as they could to stay alive but this Nuggets team has some serious talent. Anthony Randolph came out of no where despite having his best season, he averaged 17.6 points (+4.5) and 10.4 boards (+2.8) much higher then his season averages. Ty Lawson top scored with 19 a game and five other Nuggets averaged in double digits. For the Spurs Parker, Duncan and Ginobili averaged 55.8 points between them but didn't get much help from else where. Blair and Leonard are starting to look like the future of San Antonio basketball but still have improving to do.

#4 Los Angeles Lakers defeated #5 Portland Trail Blazers 4-0

Game 1: Blazers 91 - 122 Lakers
Game 2: Blazers 103 - 117 Lakers
Game 3: Lakers 103 - 96 Blazers
Game 4: Lakers 105 - 95 Blazers

The Lakers dominated every first quarter, they outscored the Blazers by an average of 8 points helping set up the game for them, but they also struggled to put them away on the Blazers court. It sets up an interesting 2nd round versus OKC. Kobe came alive with 26 points, 6 boards and 4.5 dimes while Howard and Gasol both averaged 20/10 and Nash dished out 10.7 assists a game, if they keep this up they are a real contender. As for the Blazers it was hard for them with Aldridge being restricted by his foot injury. He still managed 16/6 but with the Blazers still being young and inexperienced they needed him healthy to be any chance.

#1 Charlotte Bobcats defeated #8 Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0

Game 1: Cavaliers 96 - 129 Bobcats
Game 2: Cavaliers 114 - 118 Bobcats OT
Game 3: Bobcats 116 - 106 Cavaliers
Game 4: Bobcats 110 - 86 Cavaliers

The Cavaliers showed a bit of fight at times but couldn't match it with the Bobcats pace. Waiters showed off with 40 points in game one and 21.3 points over the four games with 5.3 boards also. CP3 dominated with 26 points, 6.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists while Kemba Walker showed he can one day be just as good as Paul by posting 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists as shooting guard. Carter and MKG had a quiet series but still proved hard to keep off the boards. Kyrie Irving tried hard with 20.8 points, 3.5 boards and 6.5 assists but it was going to be a mammoth effort need by all Cavaliers to win this series.

#2 Miami Heat defeated #7 Atlanta Hawks 4-3

Game 1: Hawks 91 - 106 Heat
Game 2: Hawks 111 - 93 Heat
Game 3: Heat 94 - 90 Hawks
Game 4: Heat 83 - 87 Hawks
Game 5: Hawks 87 - 99 Heat
Game 6: Heat 91 - 111 Hawks
Game 7: Hawks 90 - 129 Heat

The Heat really struggled in this series the most embarrassing moment was when they only managed to score 7 points in the first term in Game 6 and a total of 26 points at half time, but they got the job done in the end. LeBron was Lebron, putting up 29/8/6 a game as he single handily kept the Heat's three peat chances alive. Teague provided handy was 18.9 points and 6.1 assists, while Bosh had 15.7 points and 8.1 boards a game. DWade is still recovering and only averaged 5.3 points in 10 minutes a game. As four the Hawks it was Josh Smith (19 points/10 boards per) and Lou Williams (20 points per) who gave them a fighting chance all the way to the end.

#3 Chicago Bulls defeated #6 Brooklyn Nets 4-3

Game 1: Nets 80 - 101 Bulls
Game 2: Nets 117 - 105 Bulls
Game 3: Bulls 91 - 90 Nets
Game 4: Bulls 97 - 98 Nets
Game 5: Nets 112 - 107 Bulls
Game 6: Bulls 116 - 108 Nets
Game 7: Nets 111 - 117 Bulls 2OT

That was a close series, double overtime had to settle who went into the second round. This series really could have gone either way. Derrick Rose showed why he is a MVP of this league as he posted 28/6/8 for the series and hit critical shots down the stretch in every game, he had help from Boozer (20.9 points/9.7 boards) and Deng (16.7/ 8.9 boards) but other then them the Bulls look weak. As for the Nets Williams (21.9 points/8.1 assists), Lopez (19.6 points/7.7 boards) and Johnson (18.1 points/ 6.4 assists) done all they could to try and win. I think both teams will be looking a trades to improve over the summer.

#4 Philadelphia 76ers defeated by #5 Washington Wizards 4-3

Game 1: 76ers 112 - Wizards 79
Game 2: 76ers 122 - 89 Wizards
Game 3: Wizards 108 - 99 76ers
Game 4: Wizards 100 - 87 76ers
Game 5: 76ers 90 - 99 Wizards
Game 6: Wizards 104 - 106 76ers
Game 7: 76ers 93 - 96 Wizards

What a crazy series. The Wizards get smashed on their home court twice and then manage to come back and win three in a row, but still had to get John Wall to sink a three with only a couple of seconds left in game 7 to win the series. The standouts for the Wizards were Wall (21.0 points/11.0 assists) and Bradley Beal (25.6 points/5.0 rebounds), the Wizards future looks bright with these two. As for the unlucky 76ers, Bynum battled hard with 22.7 points and 12.0 boards, while Turner (16.1 points/4.9 boards/5.1 assists) and Holiday (13.4 points/7.4 points) tried hard to help their team win the series.

Bobcat News

Bobcat's GM under investigation after former Phoenix Suns GM accuses him of blackmailing

It's all happening Cats fans, not even 10 hours after the Bobcats took a 96-80 win in Washington to extended their series lead to 3-0, news has broken that GM Rick Allday is under investigation by league officals.

Former Suns GM Lance Blanks who was sacked by Phoenix two days ago has accused Allday of blackmailing him into trades and also other things in the past which he wouldn't disclose at this time. He states that he was forced into the Morris trade and also the deal that saw Waiters come to the Bobcats. He is also filing a case after Allday for loses caused from losing his job, he believes he would still be GM if not for the decides he had to make and stress he has been caused.

Allday made a quick statement today, he said "I am completely shocked by what has occurred over the last 24 hours. I am sadden by this news, I have been a friend of the Blanks family for a long time. We made the trades above board, I mean we traded a first round pick to them! I know he is going through a tough time with the divorce and he might be mad at me because I made his wife who I am closes friends with aware of some of Lance's wrong doings. That's all I have to say at the moment, we have a really important game tomorrow night that is all I'm worried about. Thank you".

Everyone will be waiting for Leanna Blanks story, it is believed to bring out some chilling things about Blanks and the league have also interviewed her to try and get a better understanding of what is going on behind closed doors.

It is only a battle of what each man says now, no hard evidence is there besides maybe a couple of weird trades but maybe that is just bad management on Blanks behalf and maybe he just wants to get back at Allday for what he has told his wife. Either way I don't see this stopping the Bobcat player from performing like they have so far.

Anyway stay tuned.

Round Two Results and Recaps

west conf playoffs.png

#1 Oklahoma City Thunder defeated #4 Los Angeles Lakers 4-2

Game 1: Lakers 84 -97 Thunder
Game 2: Lakers 94 - 117 Thunder
Game 3: Thunder 94 - 96 Lakers
Game 4: Thunder 93 - 98 Lakers
Game 5: Lakers 108 - 111 Thunder
Game 6: Thunder 116 - 111 Lakers

The Lakers gave it a push, but they just don't seem like a team. Howard averaged 23.1 points/12.2 rebounds as he is now the star on the team, Kobe averaged 21.3 points but it is well known that Howard and Bryant don't want to play together, only problems? Both have contracts, Bryant 3 years and Howard 4 years and lots of $$. Kobe is 7 years older but more of a fan favorite but the Lakers would be stupid to trade Howard as he has settled down (Besides the Kobe stuff) and is dominating. Lots of tough choices. As for OKC? They are flying! Kevin Durant (23.9ppg) and Russell Westbrook (28.5ppg) can do no wrong as they marched back into the Western Conference Finals for a third straight year.

#3 Denver Nuggets defeated #7 Utah Jazz 4-1

Game 1: Jazz 120 - 108 Nuggets
Game 2: Jazz 76 - 106 Nuggets
Game 3: Nuggets 113 - 91 Jazz
Game 4: Nuggets 111 - 90 Jazz
Game 5: Jazz 89 - 101 Nuggets

Where do you start with the Nuggets? After their poor Game 1 performance they they came back out and smashed the Jazz in the next 4. Lawson, McGee, Chandler, Randolph, Gallinari and Brewer are all playing great basketball at the moment. They are going to be hard to stop in the ECF. As for the Jazz? Well they should be proud. They overachieved in beating the Rockets and have improved heaps this year, everyone still expects Millsap to enter free agency as the Jazz look to sign a shooter to pair with Jefferson and Favors.

WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL PREVIEW

#1 Oklahoma City Thunder vs #3 Denver Nuggets

Starting Five Match-ups:

PG: Russell Westbrook (24.6ppg/5.3rpg/6.0apg) Vs Ty Lawson (18.3ppg/8.6apg/2.3spg)

SG: Kevin Martin (17.7ppg/3.9rpg) Vs Corey Brewer (12.8ppg/5.3rpg/3.7apg)

SF: Kevin Durant (23.1ppg/7.8rpg/2.8spg) Vs Wilson Chandler (14.1ppg/6.7rpg)

PF: Serge Ibaka (8.0ppg/8.6rpg/2.6bpg) Vs Anthony Randolph (14.8ppg/7.4rpg)

C: Kendrick Perkins (2.4ppg/8.0rpg/1.9ppg) Vs JaVale McGee (13.8ppg/9.7rpg/2.8bpg)

Western Conference Final Prediction: Denver Nuggets in 7 games.

#1 Charlotte Bobcats defeated #5 Washington Wizards 4-0

Game 1: Wizards 94 -103 Bobcats
Game 2: Wizards 99 - 108 Bobcats
Game 3: Bobcats 96 - 80 Wizards
Game 4: Bobcats 116 - 109 Wizards

As easy as you like. This Charlotte team is looking primed for success, and the Wizards need to add a few more pieces before they can seriously challenge. CP3 had another great series as he racked up 23.5ppg/6.0rpg/7.3apg/2.0spg and Andre Carter had a better series also with 19.5ppg/7.0rpg/2.5apg/2.0spg/1.5bpg on 60% shooting.

#2 Miami Heat defeated #3 Chicago Bulls 4-2

Game 1: Bulls 74 - 85
Game 2: Bulls 96 - 88 Heat
Game 3: Heat 103 - 83 Bulls
Game 4: Heat 84 - 100 Bulls
Game 5: Bulls 89 - 104 Heat
Game 6: Heat 104 - 101 Bulls

Battle of the two second best teams in the Eastern Conference was nothing to exciting, as the Bobcats wrapped up another series 4-0 these two struggled between themselves. I wish we could say it was because of strong defense but players were missing wide open shots and layups all series, besides LeBron James (34.1ppg/9.1rpg/5.5apg/2.0spg/1.3bpg), everyone was sub par. If the Miami Heat are going to get to there 4th straight finals they will need all of LeBron's greatest to get there.

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL PREVIEW

#1 Charlotte Bobcats vs #2 Miami Heat

Starting Five Match-ups:

PG: Chris Paul (24.6ppg/6.3rpg/7.3apg/1.7spg) Vs Jeff Teague (16.2ppg/5.8apg/1.8spg)

SG: Kemba Walker (19.6ppg/4.7rpg/5.7apg/1.4apg) Vs Ray Allen (8.2ppg/2.7rpg/1.1apg)

SF: Dion Waiters (15.1ppg/4.0rpg/2.0apg/1.4spg) Vs LeBron James (31.2ppg/8.6rpg/5.5apg/2.0spg)

PF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (10.9ppg/8.6rpg/1.7spg/1.1bpg) Vs Shane Battier (4.0ppg/4.1rpg/2.6apg)

C: Andre Carter (16.7ppg/7.0rpg/3.6apg/1.1bpg) Vs Chris Bosh (15.0ppg/8.0rpg/1.4bpg)

Eastern Conference Final Prediction: Charlotte Bobcats in 6 games.
