Re: Milwaukee's Best: Bucks Association

Game 11 of 14
Milwaukee Bucks (7-3) @ New York Knicks (5-5)

Predicted Outcome: Knicks Win 94-110 (I feel like we stole this game)

Bucks - 29 | 15 | 27 | 34 | Final - 105 *Bucks Win
Knicks - 23 | 21 | 25 | 29 | Final - 98

Game Summary
This was our first of many games without MVP vote leader Monta Ellis. The announcers even mentioned how he will miss the rest of the regular season and maybe the playoffs also. Jennings has to shoulder the load until Ellis come back, and he did netting 11 points in the 1st half. Shumpert was the Knicks leading scorer in a back and forth 1st half with 14 points.

At the half it was 44 - 44.

Ilyasova had 12 points in the 3rd to give us a 71-69 lead going into the final quarter.

In the 4th quarter we really figured out a flaw in the Knicks team. Point guard J. Kidd is not quick enough to stay with Jennings. We were able to go ob a 10-0 run by Jennings schooling Kidd who actually fell to the floor while Jennings went around him for a layup, 93-85 with 3:04 left in the game. But the Knicks refused to go down without a fight. The score was 97-90 after Jennings hits a pair of FT 1:41 left. A few possessions later Sanders misses a hook shot in the lane which led to a fast break ending in a slam from Carmelo 97-94 with 1:13 left.

It is now 101-98 with 31 seconds we have the ball and Im hoping we can steal one. Jennings drives to the hoop and hits a layup 103-98, 23 seconds left. We get a defensive stop then pass to Redick and they foul and he hits both free throws to ice it 105-98.

-Turnovers 14 Bucks to 9 Knicks
-Steals 3 Bucks to 12 Knicks
-Bench points tied at 22
-19/25(76%) Free Throws Bucks and 15/18 (83%) Knicks
-6/17(35%) 3's for the Bucks and 5/18(27%) 3's for the Knicks.

Bucks Key Players
B. Jennings: 30 points and 8 assist
E. Ilyasova: 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assist
J. J. Redick: 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assist

Knicks Key Players
I. Shumpert: 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assist
C. Anthony : 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assist
A. Stoudemire: 20 points and 10 rebounds

Player of The Game
B. Jennings: 30 points and 8 assists

Next Game: Philadelphia 76ers(7-4) @ Milwaukee Bucks(8-3)
1st vs 2nd in Eastern Conference should be good.

Re: Milwaukee's Best: Bucks Association

Game 12 of 14
Philadelphia 76ers (7-4) @ Milwaukee Bucks (8-3)

Predicted Outcome: Bucks Win 92-96(Went the other way on this one)

76ers - 23 | 28 | 29 | 25 | Final - 105*76ers Win*
Bucks - 20 | 26 | 27 | 26 | Final - 99

Game Summary
1st place Bucks vs 2nd place 76ers, great match for the end of the year.
51- 46, 76ers at half, we were taking advantage of J. Richardson playing defense against S. Marion who had 19 points at the half. Ilyasova is having a horrible first half going scoress, J. Holiday is having a good half for the 76ers with 10 points.

In the 3rd the 76ers grabbed a early 15 point lead that extends to 18 points. Marion was able to bring us back by repeatedly posting up on Richardson. He had 29 points by the start of the 4th quarter and the score was 80-73 Philadelphia.

We tied the game up at 94-94 with 2:45 left, then took a one point 96-97 lead after a J. J. Redick cutting layup with 2 minutes left. I felt like this game was ours but the 76ers scored on their next three possessions building a 102-99 lead with 25 seconds left. We inbound the ball and tried to penetrate with Jennings but the lane closed in quick so he kicked it out to Ilyasova for a three and the tie, but it was no good. From their on we played the foul game.

J. J. Redick was a big disappointment after a nice 18 point outing against the Knicks, he only had 4 points in this game. I was glad we were able to come back from down 18 to take the lead late in the forth. I am sure if Monta Ellis was healthy the game would have ended differently.

Team Stats
-The 76ers dominated steals 13-3
-Bench points 29 for the 76ers, 16 for the Bucks
-76ers shot 43/86(50%) and 39/84(46%) for Milwaukee.

76ers Key Players
A. Bynum: 21 points and 10 rebounds
J. Holiday: 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assist, 4 steals
J. Richardson: 14 points 5rebounds and 3 assist

Bucks Key Players
S. Marion: 41 points and 5 rebounds ( 2 shy of career high)
B. Jennings: 15 points and 7 assist
E. Ilyasova: 13 points and 12 rebounds

Player of The Game
J. Holiday: 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assist

Next Game: Milwaukee Bucks(8-4) @ Washington Wizards(7-6)
Wizards with a winning record?

Re: Milwaukee's Best: Bucks Association

We only have two games left before the playoffs start so I thought I would give you guys conference standings. As you can see we are in second behind the 76ers who just beat us in a very close game. Our final two games are against the Wizards and the Nets. Should beat the Wizards but the nets will be hard.

I am hoping that Ellis can come back by the time the playoffs start but I have a feeling we are going to have a few games without him. He got injured with 5 and a half weeks left in the regular season, and he is out 6 - 8 weeks. If he is out for just 6 weeks he could be there for the first game of the playoffs, if it is 8 weeks then we may have games without him. Ellis is leading the league the MVP voting, I am not sure how his injury will affect his chances if at all.

Eastern Conference Standings
1.) 76ers 9-4
2.) Bucks 8-4 (0.5 gb)
3.) Nets 8-5 (1.0 gb)
4.) Heat 7-6 (2.0 gb)
T-4.) Magic 7-6 (2.0 gb)
T-4.) Bulls 7-6 (2.0 gb)
T-4.) Pacers 7-6 (2.0 gb)
T-4.) Wizards 7-6 (2.0 gb)

Just Outside the Playoffs
Hawks 6-7 (3.0 gb)
Raptors 6-7 (3.0 gb)
Celtics 6-7 (3.0 gb)
Knicks 5-8 (4.0 gb)

Western Conference Standings
1.) Jazz 9-3
T-1.) Kings 9-3
2.) Spurs 8-4 (1.0 gb)
3.) Thunder 7-5 (2.0 gb)
T-3.) Timberwolves 7-5 (2.0 gb)
4.) Clippers 6-6 (3.0 gb)
T-4.) Lakers 6-6 (3.0 gb)
T-4.) Nuggets 6-6 (3.0 gb)

Just Outside the Playoffs
Mavericks 6-7 (3.5 gb)
Suns 6-7 (3.5 gb)
Trail Blazers 5-7 (4.0 gb)
Warriors 5-7 (4.0 gb)

I will hopefully play the Wizards game tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Milwaukee's Best: Bucks Association

So I had a dry spell with no updates and I am now getting back into the game. We finished the regular season at 9-5. We were 2-2 after league MVP our very own Monta Ellis went down with a broken ankle(out the rest of regular season and who knows if he comes back in the playoffs), we were tied for 2nd in the Eastern conference behind Philadelphia.

1st Round of Finals(best of 3)
In the 1st round we played Boston a team who beat us in the regular season. Jennings really stepped up to help sweep the Celtics in a best of 3 series, 2-0 to move on against the Nets.

2nd Round of Finals(best of 3)
The Nets also beat us in the regular season and again we are without Monta. We were able to sweep them also with Redick hitting a layup in game 2 to put them away, 2-0 on to the Eastern conference finals.

Eastern Conference Finals(best of 3)
Now time for Miami in the Eastern Finals who has also swept their competition of Chicago and Philadelphia. In our regular season meeting we also lost to them like we did to Boston and Brooklyn.

We lost game one 114-111 in Milwaukee on our court, the game was not really that close but we made some shots at the end to make it look closer than we really were.

Injury Update
The big news after the game is that Monta Ellis announced he is coming back for game 2. It is almost like a D. Rose story but here Monta Ellis is coming back hopefully to save the team in an elimination game. What does Monta bring back to the table? He averaged 31 points, 4 reb, 7 ast, and 1.3 stl in 10 games winning the MVP award.

I can't wait to play game 2!!! Monta is Back!!!

Awesome storyline man! Monta returning to help the Bucks fight to survive. This is a really good thread. I look forward to seeing if Monta can help force a game 3! Good Luck!

Beat the Heat! lol

I know it is a great story line, the MVP coming back for what could be the last game of the season. Its been a while since I have played with him but I will use him heavily. Hope to play tonight.
