The Utah Jazz's season has come to an abrupt end, as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated them last night 86-70. In a game where Utah's playoff hopes would fall upon the Lakers, the Jazz came out flat and just didn't deliver offensively. In a game that could have potentially been the last of a whopping nine Jazz players in Utah, only Al Jefferson seemed to show up. So the question is: Who stays, and who goes?

Well it's obvious that Utah will retain their Core 4: Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Alec Burks, and Enes Kanter. I mean why wouldn't they? At times, they have outplayed the veterans this season while coming off the bench. Hayward has looked strong in both the starting role and the sixth-man role. Favors has been terrific while backing up Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson at the 4 and the 5. Alec Burks got on a roll to end the season, and it's beginning to look like he's putting it all together. Enes Kanter was having a strong season until he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the late March.

But as for Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Mo Williams, and 6 others, where do we go from here? The Jazz have missed the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 years, an unheard of statistic in Salt Lake City. In a city that prides itself on Jazz basketball and their success, can Utah continue to live with mediocrity and resign Millsap and Jefferson? Is it time for Favors and Kanter to assume the starting roles? Should Utah retain at least one of the 2? Will Mo Williams return to Utah, where he said he wants to finish his career? This all will be decided in the offseason, but as for right now, all the Jazz can do is speculate and watch some playoff basketball from home.

At the end of the first round of the playoffs, no upsets really occurred.

Western Conference Round 1

The Thunder swept James Harden and the Rockets.

The Clippers beat out Memphis in Game 7 yet again this year.

Denver dominated Golden State to a 4-1 Round Victory

The Spurs beat the Lakers 4-1 after losing Game 1.

Eastern Conference Round 1

The Heat beat Milwaukee in 5

The Nets also beat Chicago in 5

In fact, everyone on the East side won in 5. Pacers over Atlanta, and New York over Boston.

OKC Beat the Clippers in 5 games to move on to the Conference Finals

Denver beat San Antonio in Game 6 to face OKC in the Western Conference Finals

Eastern Conference Semi-Finals Results

Miami swept Brooklyn to move on

Indiana beat New York in a classic Game 7 series



Western Conference Finals Results

The Denver Nuggets shocked the world and beat OKC in Game 5 to move onto the Finals.

Their opponents: the returning champions Miami Heat, who beat Indiana in 6 games.
