Report: Josh Smith agrees to a 4 year contract with the Hawks



(ATLANTA) - It wasn't new that the Hawks wanted Josh Smith back, they REALLY wanted him back. They got lucky to get him back, because he agreed to a 4yr/$55M contract. Josh Smith is happy to be back in Atlanta. At the mid-season point in 2013, he wanted to get traded, Altanta granted his request, but couldn't find a deal to trade him, so they just stood pat, with only trading Anthony Morrow.

Report: Hawks re-sign Zaza Pachulia, Jeff Teague, and Ivan Johnson.

(ATLANTA) - Jeff Teague has accepted the Qualifying Offer worth about $3.47M, and he will be back with the team for the 2013-14 season. Zaza Pachulia has also returned with a 1yr/$1.05M Deal. Also, 3rd year Forward Ivan Johnson returns with a 2yr/$4.05M deal. Forward-Guard Kyle Korver announced he will be signing with the Jazz, and Devin Harris wants to go to another team besides the Hawks. Shelvin Mack, Johan Petro, and Deshawn Stevenson will not be re-signed.

Sources: Andre Iguodala heads to Atlanta on a 3-year deal.

(Atlanta) - Andre Iguodala has agreed to go to the Hawks on a 3 year deal, with the last year being the player option. Iguodala turned down the player option in Denver, and he came here to help the Hawks get a championship. His contract is 3 years/$22M with the last one being his option to stay w/ team or not.

(ATLANTA) - Hawks had a LOT of cap space left, so they went and signed some veterans to help out the team. They signed PG Calderon to a 2 year/$6.90 deal with the last year being team option. Nick Young was sign to 2 year/ $4.23 deal with the last year also being team option. Coach Gentry is excited to have a revamped new team, and can't wait to make an impact.
