Lakers make quick and easy work of Rockets in blowout from start to finish

TWCSN PLAYER OF THE GAME: kobe bryant (22 PTS, 6 REB, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk)
As their home stand starts to come to an end, the Lakers have had some real close calls especially in the last two games, but on Sunday night taking on the Houston Rockets the Lakers got a gift in the likes of a full on blowout from start to finish, dismantling the Rockets from the opening tip and not letting their foot of the gas en route to a 104-81 victory, their third straight, securing at least a winning record on the six game home stand with one remaining.  Kobe Bryant led all scorers with a game high 22 points and pulled down 6 rebounds while Pau Gasol added 21 points and Dwight Howard finished with 20 points, marking the first time this season three Lakers have scored 20 or more points in a single game.  Steve Nash finished with a double double, 11 points and 11 assists rounding out the Lakers in double figures.  Chandler Parsons led the Rockets with a team high 16 points, but went 0-6 from behind the three point line and Jeremy Lin added 13 points, but like Parsons went 0-5 from the three point line as the Rockets finished 6-23 for the game as a team.  James Harden was held to 12 points on 3-12 shooting, mostly being guarded by Kobe Bryant and shadowed by Gasol and Howard when trying to create dribble penetration throughout the game.  Marcus Morris off the bench added 11 points, but no other Rocket player that saw the court contributed much.  The loss sent the Rockets to .500 after their first ten games, 5-5, while the Lakers improved to 8-2 on the season.  They will finish up the home stand on Tuesday, when they host the newly relocated Brooklyn Nets and a chance for Dwight Howard to put on an exhibition for the team that he had pubicly wanted to be traded to while in Orlando.
