Re: Toronto Raptors Association: To Canada and Beyond

Here are a couple of tweets from players and fans from around the NBA:
@FearTheDeer: WOW. Worst. Trade. Ever.
@Raptors4Lyfe: Oh yaaa ya ya ya buddy! we gottt montaaaaaaaa!
@rudygay22: Cant wait fellas! #RaptorUp
@Paul_George24: Lets go guys! First game #excited #PacerNation
@Chris_BroussardESPN: My prediction, Pacers 94-Raptors 87. Big game for Hibbert against a weak Toronto frontcourt.

Re: Toronto Raptors Association: To Canada and Beyond

ELLIS-GAY COMBINE FOR 48, NOT ENOUGH
Depsite amazing games from Monta Ellis and Rudy Gay, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Toronto Raptors 97-88. Danny Granger was the player of the game with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Granger was hot all night, he ended up hitting 3 three pointers and was 4-4 from the line. It didn't matter which Raptor was on him, he was going to score. "This one's on me," said Rudy Gay, " I scored 23 but I let my man score 27. Next game, I'm shuttin my guy out." Here's Granger on his big night: " I told all y'all. You didn't listen. All the haters are quieted now. The Indiana Pacers will be in the Finals this year, bring it Miami ."

Stats and Grades:

Monta Ellis • 25 points, 11-18 shooting, 3-5 from downtown, 5 fouls (A-, great game except fouls)
Rudy Gay • 23 points, 10-20 shooting, average defense (B, scored well, thats it)
Jonas Valenciunas • 8 points, 8 boards, 1 block (B-, all points in second half)
Linas Kleiza • 6 points, 9 boards, 2-9 shooting (C+, needs to shoot better)
Kyle Lowry • 5 points, 7 boards, 8 assists (C+ needs to score more, 3 TO's)

LOL great post! I love how both Rudy Gay and Danny Granger made some seriously bold comments following that game. Bring on Miami! lol

I am glad the Ellis and Gay combo was efficient. The Pacers have one of the most solid rosters in the NBA if the starters play a lot of minutes, you won't be going up against that type of team often. Good luck on your next game!

Icon4 Toronto Raptors Association: Trade + Injury Report

Trade
The Toronto Raptors have made a trade to help their weak frontcourt:
TOR receives: Andris Biedrins
GSW receive: Linas Kleiza and Aaron Gray

Injury Report:
Demar DeRozan: will be sidelined 1-2 weeks with a dislocated finger. This means rookie Terrence Ross will get a good chance to show what he's got.
Amir Johnson: Johnson dislocated his Patella and will be out 2-4 weeks. This is going to hurt an already weak frontcourt.

Good trade. You got some size without giving up much in the process. You may want to look at Milwaukee for another addition. I remember at one point they had a log jam at the PF or C positions. Somebody like Dalembert may work, or maybe even Drew Gooden? Terrible contract but he could give you what you're looking for. Dalembert is an expiring deal so that would be nice.

Re: Toronto Raptors Association: To Canada and Beyond

Here is a very critical reporter on Dwane Casey and the sorry state of the Raptors. This was posted online the moring after the Toronto Raptors lost to the Brooklyn Nets 101-113.

Dear Raptors Management:

Raptors Lose (Again)
[i] Well now the Raptors are 0-2. 0-1 on the road and the same at home. The team has the starpower and talent to win, but just isn't. Why aren't they you might ask? Coaching. That's what I believe. Here's the main reason I believe why:

The fourth quarter. Dwane Casey and the Raptors were up 7 going into the 4th!! They lost 113-101! Terrible quarter. The coach left the bench in too long and didn't play the starters until 4 minutes left in the game down by 18!

Terrible. Just terrible. Here's his comments after the game "We just didn't have the effort in that last quarter. I think our guys were just tired and didn't have it in them. I expect a lot more next game."

So here's what he's trying to say "They didn't try. They were lazy and didn't try to win. They better win next game so I look good."

I think I have an answer to the Raptors problems. FIRE THE COACH!

Sincerely,

A TRUE Raptors Fan
