Re: Sacramento Survivors.

Tyreke Evans to PG?

In what is a very controversial move new Kings coach Noe Estrella has decided to move Tyreke Evans back to PG in which he won the ROTY award his rookie season. He was quoted as saying, "When you look at Tyreke it's intimidating, to have a 6'6" point guard on your team, other teams are going to have a hell of a time dealing with him in the paint and around the rim. Match up nightmare." This move means that Marcus Thorton will be moved to the starting SG role, and Washington Alum and the Hustling Huskie, Isaiah Thomas will come off the bench in a sixth man role.

It was a tale of two halves really. The Kings looked out muscled and out matched against the bruising Chicago Bulls. Evans had four fouls trying to guard Derrick Rose who ended up scoring the majority of his 32 points on the smaller Isaiah Thomas. After a rousing speech by coach Estrella which included a thrown chair and a smashed cupcake the Kings came out of the locker room fired up. Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins went to work, completely controlling the paint in the third quarter. Demarcus was a glass monster scarfing down 17 rebounds and putting up 21 points in the paint, Joakim Noah had three fouls by the end of the first quarter just trying to contain him. Derrick Rose was being posted up by the bigger and stronger Tyreke Evans and when he was exhausted Nate Robinson came in, and Tyreke took that match up all day. Jason Thompson, Marcus Thornton and Demarcus Cousins all recorded double doubles.

Bulls Game Press Conference.

Reporter: Tyreke, from a point guard perspective, you didn't do too well any comments?

Tyreke: Give me some time I'll get it down, I have to relearn it. Whatever Coach says go and I'm just happy to be out here. Watch out next week, what's that Spanish kids name, Ruby? Nah I'm just playing, but for real watch out Rubio I'm coming for you.

Reporter: Haha pretty gutsy to call out your next opponent, anyways. Isaiah any comments on being moved to the Sixth man position?

Isaiah: I mean it sucks, but I'm not complaining. New Coach and I'm just going to prove to him that I deserve to start. I'm used to earning my spot, 60th draft pick remember?

Reporter: Everyone knows your success story around here man. Big Cuz! Quite a game you had, what was going through your mind?

Demarcus: Nothin I was just in game mode. Gotta get that W. I'm tired of losin yo, it's time for everyone on this team to step up, including me. Watch out NBA.

Tyreke Evans exploded this game setting his career high in points and assists. The majority of his points came in the paint against "Ruby". Tyreke was unrelenting in this game, he even took a three just to see if it would drop and it did. He shot a fantastic 19-25 from the field, recorded 14 assists and grabbed seven boards, he was three away from a triple double. On defense he completely locked down Rubio limiting him to 1 make on six shots. Tyreke's newly motivated running mate Demarcus Cousins scored 29 points on 11-19 shooting and recorded his second double double by grabbing 11 boards. Jason Thompson had a very efficient game scoring 24 points on 8-11 shooting. The Kings scored over 80 points in the paint, that's crazy. They're looking to makie a living in the paint this year.

Re: Sacramento Survivors.

Minnesota Game Press Conference

Reporter: Tyreke very impressive game, you set your career high in points and assists, how do you feel about your performance? I guess you can say you came through on your word huh.

Tyreke: I'm not much of a stats guy to tell you the truth. I mean when you're in the heat of the game those things don't really matter. All that matters is getting that win for the team. As for Rubio, he's a rookie right? Haha nah I'm just playing.

Reporter: Very funny Tyreke, alright next question. Demarcus another dominant performance from you, can we expect to see this all season?

Cousins: Yeahhh I guess so. What I mean is I'm glad we finally winnin some games. That's the important thing. As for my game? It comes naturally.

Reporter: Coach Estrella you have been part of some very hard scoring games, what do you plan to change on the defensive end?

Estrella: Well for one thing I think the quarters are way too long, and on the other hand we just need to play better defense, we can't be sagging off the ball so much.

(Quarter times will be reduced, and shot difficulty will increase.)

Re: Sacramento Survivors.

Following!

I love Tyreke going back to the PG position. That is where he played in college and where he played when he won Rookie of the year. 44 points, 7 rebounds, and 14 assists definitely means he is "Reke-ing Havoc" lol

DMC is a monster too, if he stays content with all of the winning then he should be a big part of the future.

I am looking forward to more updates!
