Coach Barrett,

It is to my displeasure to inform you that recruits, Tyrone Abdullah and J.R. Dukes have committed to different schools. Abdullah decided to go to Memphis, like expected while Dukes decided to go to Tulane. However, Drew Mankevicius has made a soft verbal, he chose Southern. I, along with the rest of the coaching staff believe that Drew will be a great help to the team. While we are saddened to lose Abdullah and Dukes, we are currently doing our best to bring in Nic Friend and Antanas Petrauskas. We have also decided to contact the recruit you spoke to us about, the Dallas native, Stefan Huff. He is a skilled Point Guard and could be a solid contributer off the bench for Southern, he is ranked two stars by ESPN.

I regret to inform you that after my recent recruiting trip to Huntington Prep, a source informed me that both Nic Friend and Antanas Petrauskas have little to no interest in Southern and are being heavily recruited by Clemson and Vanderbilt. It would be in my recommendation to cease all recruitment of the two players and look for help elsewhere, but it is up to you. Good news is that Drew Mankevicius announced today that he had a hard commitment to Southern and would love to sign his LOI as soon as possible.
