Do you prefer KG to Blatche in the starting five?? Maybe the actual AB can be more efficient

Yeah for defensive purposes anyway. The starting lineup will see a few changes over the next few games until i settle on what works best! If anything does!

Brooklyn Nets send players to D-League

Nets send Shengelia and Taylor to D-League's Springfield Armor

NEW YORK, Dec. 29, 2012 – The Brooklyn Nets today assigned Tornike Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor to the Springfield Armor, the Nets’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the 24th and 25th of the 2013-14 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while Shengelia and Taylor become the 20th and 21st NBA players who have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Shengelia (6-8, 207, Colorado) joins the Armor having played in five games for the Nets this season, averaging 2.0 points and 4.4 minutes. Shengelia played for the Georgia National Team during the 2011 European Basketball Championships. He was selected 54th overall at the 2012 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and then traded to the Brooklyn Nets.

Taylor (6-3, 185, Kansas) has appeared in 10 games for the Nets this season, averaging 1.3 points and 3.0 minutes. He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 41st pick in the 2012 NBA Draft before being traded to Brooklyn.

Both players will be in uniform when the Armor take on the Erie BayHawks tonight at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

This move appears to be the first of many reshuffles for the Nets as they look to tweak and improve their misfiring roster in whatever way possible.

Brooklyn Nets Trade Rumors

Brooklyn Nets Trade Rumors

These are some of the rumored trades from around the NBA that the Nets are apparently trying to make. Word is on the street that Mikhail Prokohorov is really putting the pressure on Billy King and Jason Kidd to turn the Nets season around. King has been swinging for the fences with every move as Nets GM, but most of them resulted in bringing more salary on board with overrated and declining players. Thats why we think these 4 trades have a good chance of happening.

Trade 1

Nets Trade: Paul Pierce, Mason Plumlee.

Cavaliers Trade: Andrew Bynum, Alonzo Gee.

With Brook Lopez gone for the season, the Nets frontline is severely weakened. Bynum has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the Cavs team, and they want to move him. You would think the Nets is the last place on the planet Bynum should be sent to though. Kevin Garnett is one of the few people who could either get Bynum back to dominance, or push him over the edge. This type of trade has Billy Kings fingerprints all over it.

Trade 2

Nets Trade: Paul Pierce, Mason Plumlee.

Bulls Trade: Carlos Boozer, Tony Snell.

With this trade the Bulls get out from under Boozers contract, and avoid using the amnesty this offseason. It gives Taj Gibson the chance to shine, and continue his high level of play so far this year. They do give up Tony Snell though, who has a lot of promise as a young wing. Expect some future draft pick, from some far off year to be included to get this one to work.

The Bulls pick up Pierce and Plumlee, with Pierce giving the Bulls a go to scorer in the absence of Rose. With Rose in the team, the Bulls make this trade in a heartbeat, without him, I'm not so sure.

The Nets take a chance on reuniting Boozer and Wiliams, and Kirilenko! Hoping to regain some of the old spark that led the Jazz on so many playoff runs in the early 2000s. But that sentence alone tells you why the Nets shouldnt do this trade, but probably will. Thanks Billy.

Trade 3

Nets Trade: Jason Terry.

Timberwolves Trade: JJ Barea.

Deron Williams has been having a rollercoaster of a season so far. And when he's out of the game, Shaun Livingston and Jason Terry have struggled to pick up the slack. JJ Barea was an understudy for Kidd in Dallas, and knows exactly what Kidd expects of him already. A solid role player who brings energy and a real spark of the bench. Terry brings more shooting and instant offense to the Wolves who badly need it with Rubio shooting so poorly at the point this year again.

Only a small move but one which could improve the pace and flow of the Nets offense throughout the absence of Williams.

Trade 4

Nets Trade: Jason Terry.

Mavericks Trade: Vince Carter, Bernard James

The return of Vince Carter to the Nets, and the return of Terry to the Mavericks. Perhaps a sideways move for both teams, but it might provide a spark for both teams in the short term anyways. Kidd gets Carter who will respect and understand him from their time with the Nets and Mavericks together. Carter has turned into a solid pro in his declining years, and might provide the Nets with a stable presence in this time of flux.

I vote for the 4th trade, Carter is a very solid shooter and big defensive player!
