Re: Portland Trailblazers - Reborn From Ashes (NG NBA2K14 MYGM)

I'm looking for some feedback, what am I doing wrong/right? What could I add?

Should I stop posting images too much and write a bit more?

You're fine on the images, maybe write a little bit more in summaries! Looks like you're getting some good games. Keep it up!

Re: Portland Trailblazers - Reborn From Ashes (NG NBA2K14 MYGM)

Players of the Week Jan 12 - Jan 18

Lebron James
27 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 7.5 APG

Kevin Durant
37 PPG, 10.6 RBP, 4.6 APG

This weeks featured players are none other than LeBron and KD, the biggest MVP contenders around the league.

Durant surpassed James on the KIA MVP Ladder this week, standing as number one. This season averaging 32.2 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 5.1 APG, 1.5 SPG 1.0 BPG, 50.9% FG, 46.6% 3PT and 90.3% FT. Without a doubt Durant is on beast mode this season.

Re: Portland Trailblazers - Reborn From Ashes (NG NBA2K14 MYGM)

Blazers wins against Mavs to go 25-15

The game started in a way that seemed even for both teams, exchanging buckets and changing leads a few times. It did continue like this, without any star playing like such, until the last quarter where Portland team was able to finally take the lead by 14 points to never let it go. C.J. McCollum had a very nice performance playing 11 minutes and scoring 11 points (in crucial moments may I say, where it matters most, attacking the rim hard), as well as 2 assists and 1 rebound. On the other side, we got (only for a moment though) to see some vintage Vinsanity and a really impressive performance from Dalembert. It was a dull game overall, but I bet Portland fans are glad they could get the W on the road.

After game, Terry Stotts was interviewed and asked about the win: "It is important the team can pull these wins on the road, but if we are aiming to a championship run we must measure ourselves with the best of the best and see what happens. We've already beat some of then previous this season so we are confident that we can do it again (referring to next game at Houston)".

Re: Portland Trailblazers - Reborn From Ashes (NG NBA2K14 MYGM)

Rockets crush Portland 130-108

Coach Stotts said last game that he wanted to test the team against the best of the best. Well we could say then, they just got a taste of what it is to play against a contender. The game was simply one-sided. TrailBlazers could never make it in time. They were overmatched in every single end, but the key to this loss is the defense, it was non-existent, but let's not forget the 21 rebounds deficit.

First quarter was a shootout, both team were hitting 3s like it was nothing, but the game seemed "in control". Lillard had a strong start going for 12 points in the first quarter, but nothing compared with what Harden did, 4/4 from 3 point and 24 points to close the first half. It was in the 3rd quarter when everything crumbled down for Portland, Houston came out strong and made an 11 point difference and the game was virtually sealed. But just in case entering the 4th quarter with a 17 point lead wasn't enough, Jeremy Lin made 2 consecutive quick threes to destroy any comeback hope.

Both Rockets stars went off: Harden with 34 points and Howard with 27 and 15 rebounds.

Re: Portland Trailblazers - Reborn From Ashes (NG NBA2K14 MYGM)

Aldridge's 32 leads Blazer past Thunder

On the first of a 3 game series versus division rivals (OKC, then they will play Denver at home, and finally vs Minnesota at home again), the Blazers were able to upset the Thunder without their rising star Damian Lillard.

In the warm-up Lillard was complaining about his Bruised Sternum so Terry Stotts decided he should not be playing to save him. It's obvious that the last thing Portland needs is another injured top player. Lillard said he was "feeling pretty well, but everytime I hit the jumpshot or land after jumping it hurts a bit right in the chest, so coach decided I better stay off court".

Portland knew that to stop Oklahoma not only they needed to contain Durant, but Westbrook (who is also averaging huge numbers 26.5 PPG, 6.2 APG and 4.6 RPG). And so they did, but even then it wasn't a a walk in the park. Jeremy Lamb stepped up his game to cover the team and finished 22 points , 3 rebs, and 6 assists.

There were 13 lead changes, and the biggest lead was of 6 points for Portland, excepting the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter where that lead was extended with a huge 3 from Batum and another 2 points coming from Batum as well.
