Although he struggled mightily with his shooting, Carmelo Anthony did finish the night with 22 points, and even more importantly, the win. Chris Bosh had a big night with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Iman Shumpert had 21 points as well. Rookie Tyler Haws had 7 points off the bench and WCS had a monster defensive game with 4 blocks.


Nobody on the Pacers seemed to be able to get it going. George had 15 points and Hibbert had 13 but that was basically it. Indy had 18 turnovers which led to 24 New York points.

The New York Knicks are now 1-2 and next play @ Dallas.

The Mavericks were led by young PG Devin Harris. He had 12 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. It's very funny how Melo just doesn't like his old teammates. Ex-6th man JR Smith signed with the Mavs this offseason, and him and Melo fought the entire game. Nothing major happened, but there was a little bit of excessive shoving and talking going on. Just something to watch out for. Smith had 17 points in the game.


The New York Knicks were also led by their point guard, Brandon Knight. Knight finished the game with 27 points and 4 assists. It was good to see him being aggressive and attacking the basket. Melo played a decent game with 23 points and 8 boards. Bosh had 12 and 6.

The Knicks are now 1-3 and next play the Nuggets in Madison Square Garden.

If you think Melo looks a little excited in that picture, then you're correct. He has a big reason to be. Trailing by 2 with 1.1 seconds left, everyone knew the Knicks were going to get the ball to Melo. Willie Cauley-Stein, the in boulder, was left un-defended as Denver used the extra defender to try to double Anthony. The Knicks ran screen after screen for him but it was hard to get him an open look. Finally, a desperation pass was inbounded to Melo where he was 5 feet behind the 3 point line. Somehow, he got the fadeaway off and knocked it down. MSG went ballistic. Anthony ended the game with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Brandon Knight had 17 and 11 ast and WCS grabbed 11 boards in only 21 minutes.


Denver was led by Faried who had 22 points and 9 rebounds. Isaiah Canaan had 22 and 10 assists and Wilson Chandler pitched in 16.
