In the East you would be a contender, but in the West it looks like tanking.
I really like the Jazz so this dynasty caught my attention immediately, and your style is really great. Keep up the good work!

Oh and before I forget: I think the centerpiece for the future should be Burke because he has the potential to be one of the most dynamic PGs in the league. But also I would try to keep the core with Hayward and Favors together and just add piece after piece.

Otherwise BRILLIANT job! Love it!
I initially wanted to tank, but since I simmed that big slew of games, we're still sitting around .500, so I'm not sure what my team wants to do. We're competing with some good teams, but we're also having some very, very ugly losses. I think it's just more of we're so good at home. We're 7-2 at home and 2-8 on the road.

I do like Burke, he's playing really well for me for a rookie. He's not getting many good looks though (shooting just below 40%), but his three-ball is money.

Re: Here for the Long Run: Utah Jazz MyGM

I think you should build around Burke / Hayward / Kanter.

This gives you good offense at three different spots on the offense and a really good wing defender, shutting down their best player. You could look at getting a guy like David West or even a more defensive PF than Favors(could be drafted). You would probably need someone who could spot up at SG beyond the arc, maybe someone like Kyle Korver.

I love Kanter, I think he could be a dominant big man of the future. Even though I like Favor's game, I think he could be replaced.

Breaking News

Favors SLAM.jpg

Salt Lake City -
It has been announced that Jazz Power Forward Derrick Favors has unfortunately suffered a Torn Hamstring during the Sacramento Kings game on the 11th. Favors was pulled out of the game after he tweaked his leg in the 3rd quarter. The Jazz would end up losing 100 to 85.

Favors is averaging 12.2 PPG (4th on the team), 9.5 RPG (1st on the team), as well as 1.2 BPG (1st on the team). This will be a big blow to the Jazz, and this might throw them over the "tanking edge." Favors is expected to return in 6 to 8 weeks.

Game Notes
This is the first matchup between the defending champions and the Utah Jazz this season. The Jazz have been incredibly successful against the Heat in the past few years since LeBron James arrived in Miami, so it will be interesting to see what they can do tonight. Derrick Favors is out with a torn hamstring, so the Jazz are starting Marvin Williams as they look to match Miami's "small ball" lineup.

Jazz Stumble in 2nd Half, Fall to Heat

December 16th, 2013

Miami -
The Jazz played valiantly in the first half, but the defending NBA Champions were just too much for the Jazz to withstand. The Jazz shot just 38% from the field tonight, which is enough for them to lose to nearly anybody in the league.

Trey Burke straight up struggled tonight, as he shot just 1-16 and 0-7 from 3. Marvin Williams led the team in scoring with 21 points. Gordon Hayward had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
