MVP: Roy Hibbert. The 7'2 bigman had a monster game to open the season finishing with 25 points and 12 rebounds in the thumping of the Magic. Hibbert only had 1 block shot but his presence alone altered a lot of the Magic attempts at the rim.

LVP: Arron Afflalo. Afflalo, who's knows for his great perimeter defense, had his hands full trying to guard Paul George. Afflalo allowed George to score 22 points on a efficent 10-of-18 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assist. On the offensive side Afflalo scored 13 points on 15 shot attempts.

X-Factor: Luis Scola. Scola was acquired from the Suns over the summer to bring some depth to the froncourt. Scola didn't disappoint finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds off the bench in his first game with the Pacers.

Rookie Watch: Victor Oladipo. The number 2 overall pick had a decent NBA debut scoring 14 points and pulling down 4 rebounds in 28 minutes of action.

MVP: Arron Afflalo. After a bad outing against the Pacers, Afflalo bounced back by dropping a game high 28 points knocking down 6 treys in the process. Afflalo also hauled in 8 rebounds and dished out 2 assist in the win.

LVP: Kevin Martin. Martin struggled on both ends of the floor scoring 13 points on 4-of-17 shooting. Whenever he Afflalo would get a rest, he would have to deal with Oladipo's defense. The only bright spot of Martin's night was his 6 rebounds and 6 assist.

X-Factor: Jason Maxiell. Maxiell drew the job of guarding Kevin Love and did a pretty good job on him. Maxiell held Love to 9-of-19 shooting including holding Love scoreless the entire 4th quarter.

Turning Point: After a tight 1st quarter, the Magic erupted for 36 points in the 2nd quarter while holding the Wolves to 16. The Magic never trailed the rest of the game.
