The Milwaukee Bucks have traded Ersan Ilyasova to the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns have sent Channing Frye, Dionte Christmas and their 2014 1st round pick to Milwaukee in exchange for the 6'10 forward from Turkey. The Suns will also receive Carlos Delfino. Rumors began circulating that Ilyasova was tired of the constant rebuilding in Milwaukee and wanted to be traded to a playoff team. The Suns are currently sitting in 7th out West.
The Bucks started fielding calls for Ilyasova right after they got wind of the rumors. The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers expressed interest in the stretch four before he was traded. Ersan appeared in 30 games for the Suns and averaged 14.2 ppg, 6.6 rpg on 48% from the field and 40% from three.
The Bucks come out the deal looking good by getting rid of a player that didn't want to be there and their now off the hook from paying the rest of his 4-year $32.10M contract. They were also able to get a expiring deal in Channing Frye and a extra 1st round pick in a deep draft.
