DETROIT- Grant Hill, welcome back to the D.

The Detroit Pistons have announced the hiring of one of the most recognizable names in the NBA: Grant Hill.

Fans are thrilled with having Hill on board, but some have mixed feelings. Will Grant be anything like Joe Dumars?

"I don't want to be compared to anybody as a GM. I want to make a name for myself in the front office. Whatever I do, I know the fans will support me. What I hope for is for the fans to stick with us during the ups and downs. Lets make this new era a Grantland era once again."

Kobe on Lakers' 1st pick: "Helpful"



Kobe Bryant is not used to losing, and you can tell that the season did not exceed his expectations.

The Lakers had one of their worst seasons and franchise history, finishing as the 6th worst team in the NBA.

Kobe shed some light on the situation with a simple saying. "It helps."

"It definitely helps out the team. This first pick should be stoked about playing alongside me. Whoever it will be, just work hard and results will come."

In the latest mock draft, the Lakers are projected to draft freshman phenom Jabari Parker from Duke. Will the Lakers head for skill with Parker, or go for flashy athleticism with Wiggins? The only way to find out is on draft night.

Grant's Offseason Goals:

- Last offseason turned out to be awful, resulting in big problems. Restructure the team for a successful playoff run.

- Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith are NOT the answers in Detroit. Trade them when offers come up.

- Julius Randle is someone who can help and make an immediate impact. Try and acquire him in the draft.

- Will Bynum is fed up with Detroit and wants a trade. Trade him when possible.

- Jordan Adams is a player who can contribute for years to come. Try to acquire him in the draft.

- Kyle Singler is a good player, but is not a long-term answer. Find an SF either in the draft or free agency.

- Rajon Rondo has some flaws, but what he possesses fits in Detroit. Try and trade for him.

- The team needs a backup center. Find one in free agency.
