Yeah lol, had to leave at halftime, didn't feel like picking the game back up a couple days later so I just simmed. Guess the 3rd quarter never happened?

Jazz Knocked Back Down To Earth

The Jazz could not contain the Clippers in Los Angeles tonight, as J.J. Redick had a game-high 26 points to add to Blake Griffin's 21 and 11. The Clippers shot over 50% tonight, and that alone will spell a loss for just about any team in the league. It doesn't help that the Jazz just couldn't get much offense going from their main scorers, as Trey Burke led the team in scoring with 18. Dante Exum was behind him with 12 points, while Kanter and Burks had 11 and 10, respectively. The Jazz take on LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 5th. Tough schedule for this young team.

Jazz Fight Valiantly, But Fall to Cavs

November 5, 2014

Despite a very potent Jazz offense tonight, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers came into Salt Lake City tonight determined to win. The "Big 3" trio of LeBron, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving each had over 20 points, combining for 68 points together, while Love had a double-double with 21 and 16. Dion Waiters pitched in 17 points, as well.

For Utah, it was Gordon Hayward who led the charge offensively, scoring 19 points. Trey Burke had his second straight game scoring 18 points, and he added 7 assists with no turnovers as well. Ian Clark pitched in an outstanding 18 points off the bench in just ten minutes. He hit 6 threes tonight, and might have earned himself a bit more playing time with his performance. The duo of Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors combined for just 22 points and 20 boards. Those numbers will have to improve if Utah wants to beat the big dogs like the Cavs.

Jazz Take Out Mavs Yet Again

November 7, 2014

The Utah Jazz improved to 3-3 tonight, as they rode the steady hand of Alec Burks. Burks had 19 points and shot 3-5 from behind the arc. He also got to the free throw line 6 times, sinking each attempt. Rudy Gobert came off the bench and received 25 minutes. In those 25 minutes, he contributed 13 points and 14 boards, and could have had 4 more points had he not had an abysmal performance from the free-throw line tonight, as he shot 1-5 from the stripe. Ian Clark again was a factor off of the bench, as he contributed 11 points, and Dante Exum pitched in 12 points as well in 13 minutes.

Dallas was led by Monta Ellis, who had a game-high 28 points. However, superstar Dirk Nowitzki only had 12 points, as the duo of Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert were able to continuously contest his shots all night. The Mavs were outrebounded by 8 and had 7 more turnovers than Utah, which no doubt was a contributing factor in the finish. Dallas falls to just 2-4 on the season.

Utah will take on the Pistons in Detroit on Sunday, starting their 5-game Eastern Conference road trip.
