Bringing Nasty Back - The Brandon Olsen Story

This will follow the career of PF/C Brandon Olsen as he attempts to take over the NBA.

About him: Brandon Olsen attended college at the University of Toledo, where he was known for having a temper and playing intense defense. Never one to shy away from contact, or a war of words with another player, ref, or coach, attitude is believed to be what kept him from getting drafted. He idolizes the play of men like Dennis Rodman, Serge Ibaka, and Dikembe Mutombo, but he's known for being mean and aggressive.

Re: Bringing Nasty Back - The Brandon Olsen Story

After scoring 4 points grabbing 3 rebounds in his try-out with the Washington Wizards, the Wizards offered him a 10-day deal, happy to bring in his defensive intensity and energy to a front court that is questionable on defense. He hopes to become a mainstay in Washington, eventually replacing the aging Nene.

Re: Bringing Nasty Back - The Brandon Olsen Story

With an injury to Nene in his first game as a Washington Wizard, Brandon Olsen was on the court for 13 minutes (6 minute quarters). In that time, Olsen notched 7 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 fouls in a blowout loss to the Lakers. Olsen's first career basket came off a pick and roll and-one layup.

After the game, Olsen was seen trading words with Bradley Beal, who seems to have tried to take the young rookie under his wing. We'll see how this one plays out in Washington.

Re: Bringing Nasty Back - The Brandon Olsen Story

Brandon was seen walking off the court after the loss to the Suns visibly anger. He was told that he would be seeing an increase in minutes but saw only 5 minutes of playing time in a blowout loss. In those 5 minutes of playing time, Brandon Olsen shot 1-1 to finish with 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 steal along with a foul. Brandon Olsen has 3 games left on his 10-day contract, let's see how his journey continues.
