SEASON SERIES 1-0 PHI |
Hot: Michael Carter-Williams. It's rare when a player can only take single digit shots but completely dominate the game. MCW did that with a beautiful 10 points and 14 rebounds performance. Carter-Williams knocked down 4-of-8 shots in the process as he led his team to the blowout win.
Not: Celtics bench. In a game where points were hard to come by, the Celtics bench pulled a no show as they could only muster 15 points from their reserves. Compare that to 32 the 76ers got. Was pretty much a poor performance from the Boston Celtics all around to be honest.
Quotable: "We got our asses handed to us. What else you need to know?." Celtics PG Rajon Rondo.
X-Factor: K.J. McDaniels. McDaniels came off the bench and led the charge with 12 points and 3 assist in 15 minutes of action. The Sixers 2nd round pick went 5-of-9 from the field with all his buckets coming from high flying alley hoop lobs from Tony Wroten and MCW.
Rookie Watch: Nerlens Noel. Noel dominated the boards and protected the paint like a vet finishing with 10 points and 17 rebounds in nearly 40 minutes. With Henery Sims leaving with a ankle injury, Noel had to hold it down with the Sixers only down to a few healthy big men.
Up Next: The 76ers will host the Phoenix Suns and their three headed point guard trio of Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, and Isaiah Thomas.
