Player of the Game: Keith Wright - 28 pts, 9 reb, 3 stl

HANOVER, NH - Dartmouth has been the only Ivy League team able to defeat the Crimson so far this season. They came into this game looking to repeat what they did a month ago. The first half was dominated by the Crimson. They played strong defense and were making most of their shots. They made 60% of their shots in the first half and were dominated the game on the boards. The defense also came through big in the first half. They got 7 steals and held the Dartmouth to only 34% shooting. The second half was a complete turnaround for Dartmouth. They got off to a quick 14-2 run to start the half and continued to run the floor. They got as close as 4 points within the last 3 minutes of the game. Thankfully, Keith Wright stepped up to help the Crimson finish off the game and prevent another tough loss to Dartmouth. He scored 10 of their last 12 points and had a huge block to help keep the lead.
Here are Coach Holt's comments: "We did really well in the first half. We were keeping the flow from the last game into this one. The second half was tough for us. Dartmouth came out looking for the upset. If it weren't for Wright we wouldn't have held on to the lead at the end. We made a lot of shots but were missing more than were made."

CAMBRIDGE, MA - This is the first of the last 3 games of Harvard's regular season. They currently have control of the Ivy League Conference. The Ivy League Conference has become a 2-team race between Harvard and Cornell. As it stands, Harvard holds the tiebreaker over Cornell with the win they had during Rivalry Week. However, they still have another meeting next week at Cornell, which will ultimately decide the champion of the conference. Penn is the only team that Harvard has yet to face from the Ivy League this season. Penn currently sits in 7th place in the conference and did not pose too much of a threat until the first half. They managed to fight with the Crimson throughout the first half. They never held the lead but always remained within 10 points of the lead. The second half is when the Crimson turned on the jets and pulled away with the lead. Boehm got hot from the field making 6/9 from the field and 4/5 from 3-point territory. Lin continues to pass the ball around with ease as he records his second straight game with double digit assists. The real hero of the game was Miller. He came of the bench and played very well in the paint. He recorded a double-double but also contributed in the second half to expand the lead.
Here is what Coach Holt has to say about the upcoming "Ivy League Championship Game": "[Cornell] is going to be out for blood. We beat them once, and they were expecting to have an easy win against us. But that was on our court. This time we are traveling to their turf. This is do-or-die for both teams in terms of making the NCAA Tournament. We need this win if we want to make it into the big dance. Time to break out the lucky sweater-vest and sport coat. We know what we need to do to win. Bring on the Big Red!"

ITHACA, NY - Today is the game that has been dubbed the "Ivy League Championship Game." Both teams have not lost since their last meeting. Going into today Cornell and Harvard were tied at 11-1 in Ivy League play. Harvard was currently the leader in the conference because they owned the tiebreaker. Today was the make it or break it day for both teams. Cornell came out hitting hard. The teams were playing equally matched for the first 5 minutes. There were several ties and lead changes. With about 12 minutes left in the first half Cornell's leading scorer for the season Wittman earned his second foul and a seat of the bench for the remainder of the half. This prevent Cornell from holding on to the lead. They continued to block shots and make easy shots from the post. The score with about 8 minutes to go was 17-16 with Cornell slightly ahead. Then, Cornell's PG Dale earned his second foul and his seat on the bench. This was the prime opportunity for Harvard to pull ahead. They got a 9-0 run to take the lead and hold it for the rest of the half. At the end of the first half Harvard held a solid 33-25 lead. In the first half there were 5 ties and 10 lead changes. Those stats would remain the same for the rest of the game. The closest that Cornell came to taking the lead in the second half was 7 points. They were making good shots but were equally matched by Harvard. There was a point that Harvard got another 9-0 run with 6 minutes left in the game to extend the lead. At that point, Harvard knew that they won the game and the Ivy League.
Coach Holt was ecstatic after the game and gave a few brief comments: "One more game! One more game. We have Penn tomorrow and then we're in. We can't screw up tomorrow. I was nervous the entire game. Once we got the lead at halftime I was anxious hoping that we would hold onto the lead that we built. Once the final buzzer went off I felt so relieved. One more game then we're in the Tourney!"

Player of the Game: Jeremy Lin - 29 pts, 7 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Harvard has solidified their spot in the NCAA Tournament. Today was no contest for the Crimson. They were hot coming off of a tough win at Cornell yesterday. They shot very well all over the floor tonight and dominated the boards. They gave Penn hardly any chance to get a rebound. Doug Miller has proven to be a valuable asset off of the bench. This is one of many games that he has come in to pull down several rebounds. 4 of his 16 rebounds were on the offensive glass. Lin is continuing to show is excellent passing skills. All in all the team looks very ready for the NCAA Tourney and whoever they might get paired with. The question now is what seed will they be placed as.
Here are Coach Holt's comments on their automatic bid: "We've had a very good season. Ever since the loss to Dartmouth we haven't lost. We've beat some very good teams but Lunardi still isn't saying that we have any 'Quality Wins.' We've beaten Northern Iowa, Northwestern, and UNC Greensboro. All of those teams are good teams that could have easily beaten us. Now comes time to sit and wait throughout Championship week."
