Hello everyone, and welcome to my first dynasty here on OS. As you can see in the title, this will be a Los Angeles Lakers dynasty. Unfortunately, I do not have a next-gen console, so this dynasty will be played on NBA 2K14's Association mode, with updated rosters. (As of 21/12/14)

Lakers GM Fired In Favour of Rookie GM

Mitch Kupchak has done a lot for the Lakers organization. He brought Pau Gasol to LA, leading to 2 championships in 3 years. He brought Karl Malone and Gary Payton to LA, two Hall-Of-Fame players. He traded away Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard a couple of years ago. The point is, this man can make a deal happen in the NBA.

That's why it was such a surprise when LA Lakers owner Jerry Buss announced the firing of Kupchak earlier today. It was even more of a surprise when he then announced the hiring of a new GM, effective immediately. A young, ambitious man by the name of Brad Stevenson.

Now, not much is known about the new Lakers GM, but one thing is for certain. This kid's a go-getter. At only 25 years of age, he has become the youngest NBA GM in history. He has spent most of his life in the NBA, starting out as a scout for the Magic back in 2010. Since then, he has moved up the ranks and is now managing one of the biggest sport teams in the world.

Hopefully he can right the ship in Los Angeles.

Howard, Rockets crush Lakers in season opener.

LOS ANGELES -- Dwight Howard's 18 rebounds, along with James Harden's 26 points powered the Rockets past the Lakers in a 101-78 victory in Staples on Tuesday night.

The Rockets starting 5 combined for 83 points, compared to the Lakers 54. Kobe Bryant had 23 points on 10-20 shooting, going along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Corey Brewer played 11 minutes in his debut for the Rockets, scoring 2 points off of 1-4 shooting off the bench.

The Lakers were outrebounded 55-37, with Howard's 18 leading the way for total domination over the Lakers on the glass. The leading rebounder for LA was Carlos Boozer, with 8.

New Lakers coach Byron Scott wasn't pleased with the performance: "We just didn't get it done tonight, they were more hungry than us, and we didn't box out nearly as much as what we should've."

The Lakers go on to face the Suns in Arizona tomorrow night, while Houston face the Jazz in Utah.
