Nene's 14 and 11 powers Wizards past Bucks
By Brew City Hoops
Posted Nov. 22, 2014

The Good: Nene. The Wizards big man had his best game of the season against the Milwaukee Bucks. Nene finished with 14 points, 11 boards, 4 assist, and a blocked shot on 6-of-10 shooting from the field in just 27 minutes. Nene was a +26 for the Wizards during his playing time.

The Bad: Jason Kidd's rotations. The Bucks first year head coach has been using a variety of crazy rotations all year long. Even pulling guys if they don't bring in on the defensive end of the court. Rookie sensation Jabari Parker only played 28 minutes because Kidd felt he was dogging it on defense. And that move may have cost the Bucks a victory.

Rookie Watch: Jabari Parker. Before being benched, Parker scored a team high 17 points while grabbing 5 rebounds on 6-of-12 shooting. Parker numbers could've been a lot more impressive if Kidd didn't have such a short leash on the number two overall pick.

X-Factor: Paul Pierce. "The Truth" had a throwback game like he was playing back in the TD Garden. Pierce led the Wizards in scoring finishing with 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assist, and 2 steals while going 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc in 31 minutes of game action.

Schedule was kinda tough to start the season off. Hopefully I can string together a little win streak soon.

The Greek Freak notches triple-double in 117-106 win over Pistons
By Brew City Hoops
Posted Nov. 25, 2014

The Good: Giannis Antetokounmpo. When he was selected 15th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2013 NBA Daft, draft experts said Antetokounmpo would be 3-4 years away from contributing to the team. Boy were they wrong. The Greek Freak notched his first triple finishing with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assist on 5-of-10 shooting including 3-of-5 from three and 9-of-12 from the charity stripe in just 30 minutes.

The Bad: Caron Butler. Coach Stan Van Gundy decided to switch his line up and have Caron Butler start in place of Josh Smith, but that little experiment didn't work out to well. Butler laid an egg scoring 7 points on 2-of-10 shooting in 32 minutes of action for the Pistons while Smith finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assist on 9-of-16 shooting in 25 minutes.

Rookie Watch: Jabari Parker. Jabari Parker saw another cut into his minutes as he only played 29 against the Pistons. But he did produce while he was on the court. Parker finished with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals on 7-of-17 shooting from the field in the win for the Bucks.

X-Factor: Brandon Knight. Knight had a very efficient outing against his former team. The point guard poured in 18 points and handed out 4 assist with 3 rebounds in 31 minutes of playing time.

On Tap: Minnesota Timberwolves

Mayo's 19 lifts Bucks over Timberwolves
By Brew City Hoops
Posted Nov. 26, 2014

The Good: O.J. Mayo. O.J. Mayo had his best game of the season for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Mayo led the Bucks in scoring finishing with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assist while shooting 5-of-7 from the field and 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. If the Bucks can get this kind of production from Mayo on a nightly basics, they will find themselves back in the playoffs this year.

The Bad: Ricky Rubio. The T-Wolves franchise point guard went scoreless in 30 minutes of action against the Bucks. Rubio finished the game going 0-of-6 from the field and 0-of-3 from behind the arc with 5 turnovers in the loss. But he did have 5 rebounds, 11 assist, and 2 steals, but that doesn't change the fact he went scoreless in 30 minutes of playing time.

Rookie Watch: Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins. The top two picks in last June's draft finally matched up with each other in the regular season. Parker finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and a blocked shot on 5-of-18 shooting 33 minutes. Wiggins put up 15 points and 2 steals on 6-of-14 shooting in 27 minutes.

X-Factor: Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak played 31 minutes for Milwaukee and scored 16 points on 6-of-14 shooting while grabbing 4 rebounds and handing out 6 assist in the Bucks second straight victory.

Six Bucks reach double digit scoring in win over Pistons
By Brew City Hoops
Posted Nov. 28, 2014

The Good: Jabari Parker. of the six Bucks players to reach double digit scoring against the Detroit Pistons, Jabari Parker was the top scorer. Parker finished with a team high 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots has he did a little of everything filling up the stat sheet in the Bucks second win over the Pistons in three days.

The Bad: Andre Drummond. If you look at the advanced stats of the game, Andre Drummond was the worse player on the court tonight. Drummond played 38 minutes and finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds on 5-of-12 shooting. If you llok at the +/- stat, Drummond was a game high -24 has the Bucks strolled into the paint all night long for layup after layup after layup.

Rookie Watch: Spencer Dinwiddie. The Pistons 2nd round pick has found a spot into Stan Van Gundy's rotation and he's taking advantage of it. The former Colorado Buffalo finished with a season best 10 points and 3 assist while shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line in only 15 minutes off the bench.

X-Factor: Bucks bench. Milwaukee's bench was a huge factor in the team's victory over the Pistons. Led by 6th man O.J. Mayo, the Bucks reserves outscore the Pistons bench 47-37. Every buch that saw action scored at least one point in the victory.

On Tap: Houston Rockets

Howard and Rockets outlast Bucks, 104-96
By Brew City Hoops
Posted Nov. 29, 2014

The Good: Dwight Howard. With James Harden fouling out after only 14 minutes of action (WTF?), Dwight Howard stepped up and led his team to victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Howard notched 44 minutes of action and put up 27 points, 14 rebounds, and a blocked shot while shooting 11-of-22 from the floor and a surprising 5-of-7 from the charity stripe.

The Bad: Brandon Knight. Knight finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assist but don't let the numbers fool you. Knight only shot 6-of-7 from the filed including going an abysmal 1-of-9 from three and missing his only foul shot. To top it off, Knight was a team high -11 in the +/- category.

Rookie Watch: Jabari Parker. Jabari Parker collected another double-double putting up 16 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. But the rookie had a sub-par shooting night finishing 4-of-10 and had 6 turnovers in the process. Parker has had a great start to the season, just needs to cut down on the turnovers.

X-Factor: Trevor Ariza. Trevor Ariza helped carry the scoring load after Harden fouled out. Ariza scored a season high 24 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals in 34 minutes. The former NBA champion went 9-of-17 from the floor and 5-of-9 from three in the eight point victory.

On Tap: Cleveland Cavaliers
