Playing in a hostile environment inside the Cintas Center, Dayton came out of the tunnel confidently before the first half. The Flyers led by double digits early on, before Xavier cut the lead to 7 by the end of the first half. The second half did not go as planned for the Flyers, and Xavier quickly gained control of the game and took the lead. Dayton kept the game close until the final minutes, when #19 Xavier pulled away for the big win.
Notable Performances:
Brian Roberts 6-15 (2-11 3pt), 17 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists
Chris Wright 3-5, 8 points, 7 rebounds
Andres Sandoval 4-6 (1-1 3pt), 11 points, 3 assists
Charles Little 3-8, 10 points, 6 rebounds
In a game much closer than the score indicates, Dayton rebounded from a loss against Xavier with a 14 points win at Richmond. The Spiders led for most of the first half, but the Flyers eventually took the lead and never looked back. Brian Roberts sat most of the first half with two fouls, but did a lot of damage in the second half, where he scored most of his 19 points.

Chris Wright 3-7 (2-5 3pt), 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists
Kurt Huelsman 4-6, 9 points, 8 rebounds
Brian Roberts had his quietest game of the season (4 points), but that didn't stop Dayton from scoring a season high 90 points. Four Flyers scored in double figures, as the team shot well over 50% (35-52) from the field, including an 87.5% performance from three point range (7-8).
Notable Performances:
Chris Wright 7-10 (3-3 3pt), 19 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists

Marcus Johnson 4-8 (1-1 3pt), 10 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists
Rhode Island continued its hot start to the conference season by defeating Dayton for their sixth win in seven tries. The Flyers fell far behind early, and while making the score close many times, never actually had the lead. In the final five minutes, Rhode Island went on a scoring run that the Flyers could not match. Poor three point shooting (1-9) was too much for Dayton to overcome, as they fell to 4-3 in A10 play.
Notable Performances:
Andres Sandoval 3-6 (1-3 3pt), 12 points, 2 assists
Brian Roberts 3-14, 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals
Charles Little 4-8, 13 points, 4 rebounds

Dayton kept the first half very close, but absolutely awful second half gave them no chance to win. The Flyers played tight defense, forcing 19 turnovers, but couldn't capitalize, scoring only 51 points in the losing effort. Making matters worse, Kurt Huelsman suffered a shoulder injury that will sideline him for 2-3 weeks. Junior Thiago Cordeiro will enter the starting lineup in his place
