KD goes in with no vaseline on the Pistons
By DetroitBadBoys.com
Posted Dec. 7, 2014

The Good: Kevin Durant. The Pistons had no answers for Kevin Durant as he played like a man possessed against them. Durant lit up the Pistons for a season high 39 points in their 117-99 win. Durant went 13-of-321 from the field including 7-of-10 from behind the arc as he chipped in with 13 rebounds, 2 assist, and 3 steals in the dominating victory.

The Bad: Pistons small forward rotation. Every Pistons small forward that tried to guard Durant failed miserably. When you et a guy who has only played 3 games coming off foot surgery slice and dice you like that, your pretty pathetic.

X-Factor: Reggie Jackson. Even though Durant was the star of the game, backup point guard Reggie Jackson had an impressive game off the bench. Jackson finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and a career high 12 assist in 25 minutes for the Thunder. Jackson went 5-of-15 from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

On Tap: Portland Trail Blazers (12-8)

Lillard key in Blazers 105-91 win over Pistons
By DetroitBadBoys.com
Posted Dec. 9, 2014

The Good: Damian Lillard. With LaMarcus Aldridge going down early in the first quarter with a knee injury, Damian Lillard stepped to the plate and carried the Blazers to the win over the Pistons. Lillars finished with a game high 26 points with 3 rebounds, 6 assist, and 3 steals. The former rookie of the year went 11-of-22 from the field and 4-of-10 from three in the win.

The Bad: Andre Drummond. Andre Drummond dogged it on the defensive end against the Blazers. With Aldridge out, Drummond gave a sub-par defensive effort and let Robin Lopez (19 points, 11 rebounds) and Chris Kaman (18 points, 8 rebounds) light him up for the entire game.

X-Factor: Wes Matthews. Wes Matthews was right behind Lillard in the scoring column finishing with a season hig 22 points and a season high 7 assist. Matthews shot 6-of-11 from the floor and made six of his eight three point attempts in 34 minutes.

On Tap: Phoenix Suns (8-15)

Pistons Part Ways With Smith

Pistons Trade Smith To Rockets

AUBURN HILLS, Mich-- In a unsuspecting move, the Detroit Pistons have traded forward Josh Smith to the Houston Rockets. 1st year Pistons General Manager Tennell Williams announced today.

The Pistons will send Smith and 2nd year forward Tony Mitchell to the Rockets in exchange for veteran point guard Jason Terry, rookie Kostas Papanikolaou, and a 2015 1st round pick via the New Orleans Pelicans.

Smith, who was in the 2nd year of a 4-year $54M deal, apparently asked to be moved by the team after being moved to a reserve role. Through 22 games this season (10 starts), Smith is averaging 10.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks a game while shooting a career low 39% from the field. His points and rebounds per game are his lowest since his rookie season back in 2004-2005.

"We would like to thank Josh for his time here and wish him the best as he moves on with his career. But we don't want anybody here that doesn't want to be here. Mr. Gores hired me to help rebuild this team and this is the firsts step of doing so."

A move like this is considered a win for Detroit as they rid themselves of Smith's albatross contract in exchange for expiring deals in Terry and Papanikolaou, and a possible lottery pick to help their rebuild.

Dragic nailes game winner as Suns down Pistons
By DetroitBadBoys.com
Posted Dec. 12, 2014

The Good: Goran Dragic. After only scoring3 points through the 1st three quarters, Goran Dragic exploded for 16 4th quarter points as he led the Suns comeback against the Pistons. For the game, Dragic finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assist while shooting 7-of-15 from the floor including nailing the game winner jumper right in the face of Brandon Jennings as time expired.

The Bad: Pistons defense. After holding Phoenix to scoring quarters of 25, 10, and 18, Detroit gave a whopping 36 points in the 4th as they blew 14 point lead in the final quarter. A game like this has to be a killer to a team that already struggling. Can't just give away games like that.

X-Factor: Eric Bledsoe. Eric Bledsoe finished with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assist, 2 steals, and 3 blocked shots as he did a little of everything by filling up the stat sheet against the Pistons. Bledsoe went 7-of-17 from the floor in 26 minutes of action.

On Tap: Sacramento Kings (11-12)

Cousins and Kings down Pistons 107-98
By DetroitBadBoys.com
Posted Dec. 13, 2014

The Good: DeMarcus Cousins. In an anticipated mathcup of two up and coming centers, DeMarcus Cousins thoroughly outplayed Andre Drummond who was ejected after picking up a flagrant 2 foul. Cousins led the Kings with a dominate 24 point, 16 rebounds, 3 assist, and 2 steal performance. The former Wildcat finished 10-of-17 from the floor in 34 minutes.

The Bad: Andre Drummod. The 21 year big man let his temper get the best of his as he hit Rudy Gay with a hard foul on the fastbreak which had him thrown out the game. Drummond only played 14 minutes and finished with 4 points and 6 rebounds on a sub-par 2-of-7 shooting from the field. Expect the league to look into a possible suspension for Drummond.

X-Factor: Rudy Gay. Rudy Gay looks to have finally found a permanent home with the Kings. Gay put up 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assist, and 2 steals while shooting 6-of-15 from the field as they Kings move back up to the .500 mark on the season.

On Tap: Los Angeles Clippers (16-7)

Clippers survuve scare from Pistons
By DetroitBadBoys.com
Posted Dec. 15, 2014

The Good: Chris Paul. Chris Paul put on a passing display against the Pistons. Paul racked up a season high 16 assist in the win over Detroit. CP3 also had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals while going 3-of-6 from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe in 37 minutes for the Clippers.

The Bad: Brandon Jennings. While Paul was putting on a passing clinic, Brandon Jennings was putting on a brick fest. Jennings finished the night going 2-of-12 from the field and 1-of-7 from behind the arc. Jennings scored 10 points with 3 rebounds, 6 assist, and 2 steals but the Pistons needed him to shoot the ball way better if they wanted to defeat the Clippers.

X-Factor: Blake Grffin. Blake Griffin led the Clipper sin scoring putting in a game high 30 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the floor. The former number one overall pick also pulled down 7 rebounds and handed out 3 assist in 36 minutes.

On Tap: Dallas Mavericks
