Bulls One Loss Away From Elimination


Tom Thibodeau has one goal on his mind: defense. It hasn't been present for the on-the-ropes Bulls, who conceded 100+ points once again to the dominant Warriors. The Bulls, who came into this series as the better defensive team, have allowed Golden State to do whatever they please. Golden State is pleased to score over 100 points in all but 1 game.

1 game, coincidentally, is the number of games that the Bulls have to live. After this defensive howler (56% shooting allowed, 44% from 3) Chicago will return to Oracle Arena, where they lost two games, to try to salvage their series and shot at a championship. 1, twice, makes 11, which is the number of shots Jimmy Butler missed. Butler went 4-15, scoring 13 points, but also allowing foe Klay Thompson 25 points... on slightly better 67% shooting.

But did anyone have a worse game than Mike Dunleavy, playing in place of the injured Doug McDermott? Dunleavy scored not 1 points and allowed his man Harrison Barnes 21 points... 10 in the crucial 4th quarter. Dunleavy will be sitting next game, as Butler will move to SF and Kirk Hinrich will slot into the starting lineup. Dunleavy's tenure was as short as his breaths as he tried time and time again to catch a streaking Warrior downcourt.

But I digress. Tom Thibodeau—poor Tom Thibodeau—had the worst game. His team was in it, clawing to come back against a superior offense; out of their element, fighting, only to whither and fall at the hands of Steph Curry and Harrison Barnes. The Bulls have not held a lead more than 6 this entire series; Thibodeau must get out of 1 digit leads to win.

1 may be the magic number, but the Bulls must lose 0 games.

Knicks hire new head coach to replace Fisher.

The New York Knicks announce the hiring of the new head coach who will take over for the 2015-2016 season. Virtual unknown, Anthony Lucas will take over as the conduit to the triangle for Phil Jackson. Lucas has no NBA coaching background but has been on the sidelines as an analytics coach for UCLA for the past 4 years.

Stan Van Gundy steps down as head coach & vice president of the Detroit Pistons



Stan Van Gundy stormed out of Detroit Piston's owner Tom Gore's office late last evening reports sources close to the organization stating that he would not continue to work with a bunch of "spoiled kids". Van Gundy has refused comment but has stepped down as head coach & vice president. Sources say that he is still very much interested in coaching in the NBA but no longer desires to be in a vice president capacity.

Draft Express Mock Draft

- Nash to announce his retirement. Wishes Kobe & the Lakers the best.

- Sources close to Stan Van Gundy say that he is interested in returning to Orlando if there were to be an opening.

- Cavs are confident that LeBron will re-sign with them. "He is just enjoying the courtship" said teammate J.R. Smith.

- Arkansas State center Andre Thornton has continued to move up the big board as he has had some excellent workouts. Some scouts are predicting that he could go as high as 6 and could fall to a team like the Hornets or the Suns.

- Detroit's Greg Monroe says that hopes to stay in Detroit. Monroe has most recently been rumored to be desired by the Suns & Heat.

- Mark Jackson told Mark Stein that wants to get back into coaching as soon as possible. Jackson has been in talks with the Pacers in regard to their coaching vacancy.

- New York fans have voiced their desire to land Dre Redd as they have started a "Redd or bust" campaign.

- Kevin Love teases in tweet that he would like join the Splash Brothers in Golden State & "come home".

- Draft guru C.W. Sapp believes that the New York Knicks could be eying Chris Valentine in upcoming draft.
