NBA2k15 - An Interactive MyLeague
What's up OS'ers this is my first Dynasty that I have posted after reading through some really cool threads over the years!, I enjoy sim-style gaming so intend on keeping everything fair and as realistic as best I can as far as team building and transactions as this is a 30 team control MyLeague!, Big credit and thanks has to go to Ronyell and the Sim World crew over in the NBA 2k forums and CWSapp and Dreece for some serious in-depth draft classes to make this game enjoyable for everyone and myself!.
Please feel free to comment throughout the thread of course. If you follow a team in real life or have an idea and would like too suggest trades or a free agent signings feel free to do so (or if you think it's time to fire the coach, tank or re-build), feel free to discuss here or PM me. I can't guarantee all the suggestions will go through as nothing is certain in the NBA, but if I like the move personally and you've given good and fair logic it just might occur!. For those wondering, I mostly play with the Toronto Raptors...hope you enjoy the read!.This Dynasty will be begin as of the Opening Night of the 2015/16 season everything prior was simmed and kept as close as possible to the 2014/15 season. A recap of the 2014/15 season of course! The Awards MVP: Lebron James Rookie of the year: Andrew Wiggins 6th man of the year: Andre Iguodala Defensive Player of the Year: Anthony Davis Most Improved Player: Giannis Antetokounpo Coach of the year: Mike Budenholzer

Re: NBA2k15 - An Interactive MyLeague
OPENING NIGHT DEPTH CHARTS 2015/16
The new look 76er's welcome change as they enter the 2015/16 season with a new team and a new attitude. After landing the 1st and 2nd pick in the lottery things have been looking much brighter after drafting Dre Redd from UNLV with the number 1 pick and Rashard Wallace from USC with the 2nd pick. The 76ers had a rare problem of having 3 high quality big prospects on their roster, tho it wasn't for long as a draft day trade sent former number 3 pick Joel Embiid to Denver for Danilo Galinari, Jameer Nelson and future picks. Time will tell if the 76er's pulled the trigger too early on Embiid who had become disgruntled with Philadelphia management in his time injured. Philadelphia management sent a statement saying they were "thrilled to commit there future to Dre Redd and Rashard Wallace". With Dre Redd drawing comparisons to Kevin Garnett and Rashard Wallace drawing comparisons to Russell Westbrook, adding the experienced veterans of Galinari and Jameer Nelson and Merlons Noel with a year under his belt...without a doubt the future looks bright for Philadelphia!. ">
Coming of a solid previous season, the Bucks return with a few more pieces of the puzzle in place. Losing Miles Plumlee in free agency was a bit of a blow the Roster but Milwaukee does look like it has a steal with the 18th pick in Anton Bonnet who looks more NBA ready than first thought and may log some serious minutes as a lockdown defender. The Bucks did secure the services of the revitalised Josh Smith coming of a fantastic playoff run winning the championship with Houston. Josh Smith signed a 3 year $24M deal, after the Rockets decided not too match the offer. Milwaukee have taken risks to keep relevant in the East bringing back Centre Andray Blatche on a 1 year $3M deal after his season with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers and signed Thomas Robinson to partially guaranteed contract. Milwaukee management is rumoured to still be in contact with Larry Sanders and his agents. Sanders was seen during the summer coming in regularly to workout with the Bucks but no talk of signing this season. ">
Not much has changed on the Chicago Roster, apart from the retirements of Kirk Hinrich and Nazr Mohammed, Jimmy Butler opted in for the final year of his contract. The Bulls opted to with youth drafting Shai Stone and Reggie Rhymes. Aaron Brooks will miss the beginning of the season so expect Luke Ridnour or Raymond Felton to be waived. Chicago also signed Greg Smith too run with the second unit until Shai Stone finds his feet. The Bulls are in a very strong position with quality starters and a young second unit that could run against most teams first unit and re-signing Jimmy Butler will be first priority. A healthy Derrick Rose coming of a solid playoff run and full summer of training makes you ask, Is this the year Chicago win it all? ">
The Cavs got swept, then they lost Kevin Love, couldn't convince LaMarcus Aldridge to leave Portland, Greg Monroe chose the big city, and Paul Millsap had little interest in joining the Cavaliers. But the Cavs do still have a strong Roster and a young starting five!. Cleveland added Barea and Rush as insurance and signed Andrea Bargnani to a 1 year deal with player options on the second to stretch the floor he may not be Kevin Love but he is a smart move for the Cavs. Cleveland bring back Kendrick Perkins on a 1 year deal but will most likely be moved at some stage with the impending return of Anderson Varejoa who just may be the ace up Cleveland's sleeve. ">
The Celtics didn't make the big off season splash everyone thought they would, Jonas Jerebko signed in Philly and Orlando had the cap space to offer Jared Sullinger a hefty contract Boston weren't willing to pay after drafting Tashawn Sullivan, The Celtics were right there in the talks with Kevin Love meetings who instead opted to sign to a rival Western conference team. The Celtics do have a great assets in Tashawn Sullivan, and Rahim Hill who are solid first round picks and the Celtics are quietly gathering plenty of pieces they could use land a big star at the trade deadline and DeMarcus Cousins is rumoured to be their prime target. The Celtics did add recently retired Ray Allen to their coaching panel, expect an improvement in Boston's shooting!.
The Clippers return largely unchanged, DeAndre Jordan signed a max deal for 4 years $67.5M, Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes are not getting any younger the time too strike is now for Los Angeles. Chris Paul is capable of winning an MVP and certainly has a decent support cast around him and Blake Griffen. Los Angeles also assined retired craft retired point guard Andre Miller as an assistant coach to help Austin Rivers develop into a more playmaking point guard. This could be Matt Barnes and Jamal Crawford's last season who are both 35 year old. ">
Memphis are stronger than ever after re-signing Marc Gasol for 5 years $85M. Memphis still need to make a few adjustments to the line up too improve and possibly make that next step in the loaded Western Conference. The Grizzlies needed to add some 3pt shooting and liked Keondra Hunter so much they traded up for him in swapping picks with Washington and sending Jordan Adams for Dejuan Blair. Damarion James also seems like a steal at pick 27 so far after judging by his summer league performance he may be NBA ready tho questions if he can develop into the point guard that is needed for this Memphis team in the half court. Grizzlies added some quality depth for good value signing Dorrell Wright and Shot blocker Ryan Hollins. ">
It seemed the Hawks were headed to slide back down the Eastern Conference after losing DeMarre Caroll in fee agency but the Hawks convinced Wilson Chandler to join the team and signed Australian Shooting Forward Joe Ingles for 2 year $5M. Atlanta retained there highly sought Power Forward for 4 years $53M and hope to lock up the Al Horford this off season. Atlanta will be contenders in the East again with the ever improving All-Star Point Guard Jeff Teague. Mike Budenholzer probably won't want make too many adjustments to their solid roster and are predicted too finish top 3 seeding again in the East. Can they overcome the Bulls and Cavs? ">
A healthy Heat will be a dangerous heat, with Chris Bosh back in action, a solid summer for Goran Dragic and addition of Jordan Hill for 3 years $20M the Miami Heat are the probably the most underrated team in the East as long as the starting 5 can stay healthy Coach Spoelstra has plenty to work with. After Udonis Haslem retired Miami drafted fan favourite Muckleroy a 20 year old athletic Shooting Forward from Miami(OH) who slipped very late into the first round. Haslem liked the pick so much he passed on his number 40 jersey. Miami decided to part ways with out of favour point Mario Chalmers in favour of opening up more minutes for Shabazz Napier develop more. Health will be the main focus for Miami this season and although this is a solid Roster, a few more tweaks might be made. ">
It's make or break this season for Charlotte. If the Hornet's can't put together a winning season it could be time to re-tool the Roster. Mo Williams returns for this season signing a 1 year $3M deal that is very moveable come trade deadline. The Hornets have plenty to think about and will probably be no longer hesitant to trade Lance Stephenson and Marvin Williams expiring contracts. The real question is whether they decide to dangle Al Jefferson in trade talks who is owed nearly $50M for the next 3 years. The Hornets have one thing, they have assets as a team they may not be strong but almost every piece is moveable should they decide to have a fire sale!. ">
Utah are entering the season a bit light with guards and loaded with bigmen, The Jazz are in a stage of trial and error trying to find the right combination of starters and trying to figure out an identity. The Jazz are heavily relying on Trey Burke or Dante Exum to break out into the point guard of the future and Rudy Gobert too continue his form from last season. Utah also added Keith Crosby who could possibly be the most NBA ready prospect from the draft and may tempt Utah into trading Derrick Favours as Crosby is projected too have a higher ceiling. The other question lies with Trey Burke and Australian guard Dante Exum and which one is better suited for the starting position. Exum has a lot of room for growth and size most point guards don't have. ">
Sacramento will most likely be the most talked about team with regards to trade talks this season. With George Karl stepping down as head coach they have hired Brian Shaw to take over the role and build a winning culture in Sacramento to keep Demarcus Cousins on board. It's no secret that Boston are ready to get a deal done as soon as the Kings organisation are ready to move on it. But the Kings won't be handing over one of the NBA's best Centres without trying to convince him he can win in Sacramento adding improving role players Jae Crowder, Lorenzo Brown and Kevin Seraphin to add some depth. The Kings have added Emeka Okafor who has been out injured for quite a while with a neck injury, Okafor can be a great mentor for Cousins and Seraphin and this young Kings squad. Brian Shaw has been handed a second chance at redemption after a not so successful stint in Denver can he get DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings back into the playoffs?
New York basketball is back, well, we hope!...The knicks had a successful off season acquiring Brandon Knight with the Suns not matching the offer sheet and Greg Monroe decided to sign in New York. New York landed the 4th pick in the draft, to which most people thought they would trade but they decided to keep Lucas Bowe and is expected to start this season. The Knicks were still weak at the Centre position and worked out a 1 year deal with Javale McGee with a team option for the second year. Phil Jackson also took a risk bringing in Andrew Bynum also on a 1 year experimental deal hoping Bynum can re-focus and re-kindle his career under ex-teamate Derrick Fisher as coach and ex-coach Phil Jackson. The Knicks will be much improved this season....how much?...only time will tell! ">
The Lakers have had one of the most successful off season in Lakers history, signing Rajon Rondo and Kevin Love were obvious targets but Carroll joining the Lakers and Andre Drummond deciding to opt out of Detroit when Greg Monroe signed in New York. The Lakers are looking to get Kobe Bryant one last shot at a championship but secure their future in the post Kobe era, the Lakers were successful after letting go of coach Byron Scott and signing Tom Thibodeau. The Lakers will have plenty to prove this season and will most likely keep altering the Roster. ">
The Magic are in the process of a complete re-set. Scott Brooks has been appointed head coach which is a great step in the right direction for the franchise given Brooks record developing young prospects. Orlando decided not too match the offer sheet on Tobias Harris who had told the organisation he wanted out and a fresh start and go all in for Jared Sullinger, Sullinger who is proving himself to be a force in the low post is highly regarded by Scott Brooks despite fans frustration with the direction of the organisation. The Magic are in for a rebuild, Scott Brooks won't have Oladipo playing like Russel Westbrook over night, but he has some time too make the decisions he feels will help bring this franchise back to the top. ">
Dallas were happy to see the back of the Rondo experiment, re-signed Monta Ellis and added championship defender Pat Beverley and Miles Plumlee via free agency. Nowitzki who has 2 more years left on his contract which what will presumably be his last 2 seasons will be wanting every chance to play for another championship. Dallas may have to part ways with Tyson Chandler and Devin Harris to get this done to free up some financial cap space or bring back some pieces. The Mavs have also been linked to DeMarcus Cousins in trade talks.
It's been a very frustrating start to the Brooklyn franchise, paying big money for Deron Williams and Joe Johnson has kept the franchise from progressing. Jarrett Jack and Mason Plume are key role players off the bench and the Nets focus will be on retaining Young and Lopez and hoping they can endure until some cap space is finally available in 2016/17. Brooklyn do not have 1st round draft pick until 2019, and are more than likely going to be mid-range in the East for the up coming future. Patience in an un-patient business is all Brooklyn can ask for. "> STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!!!WILL BE UPDATED SHORTLY!!! Last edited by Matty Aqua; 05-11-2015 at 10:52 AM. |
