Sources say Mark Turgeon plans to bench his second year starting guard Romelo Trimble after his poor start to the season, which surprisingly comes after his stellar freshman year which received honors on the ACC Freshman All-Conference team.

In two games in the early season, Trimble has averaged 7.5 points, good enough, but when you slide over to his field goal numbers you'll see the scarce under thirty percent numbers which dropped from 40% (from three and two) from last season.

"It's still early in the season," Turgeon said. "I'm just weighing the options, seeing what we've got to offer before conference play rolls around. If Romelo pick up where he left off last year then of course I won't hesitate to add him back into the starting five."

Maryland will most likely see freshman and former four star recruit, Matthew Oliver, taking over Trimble's starting duties next game versus George Mason. Oliver has averaged 5 assists along with 6 points in the two games for the Terrapins, do the math and Oliver comes out to be a 12 point, 10 assist guard per 32 minutes.

This may be a good move for the Terraphins who stand with a early 1-1 record after their upset overtime loss against Eastern Tennessee State in the CBE Hall of Fame classic.
