I'd hate to see Greek Freak traded, dude's a star in the making. Where is Freak logging most of minutes, PF or SF?

Agree on Trek with this one, Freak is just a fantastic player. Judging your lineups, he is mostly a PF? Though, he played well in that game he got a record assists, maybe you just give him more trust and it will work out.

Re: In the prime of youth - Milwaukee Bucks MyLeague

Hey! Don't want to hijack this or anything, but I'm doing something very similar (Bucks, 29 game season) and wanted to share some thoughts:

-I can't handle a PG who can't shoot. Makes it tough to drive and dish. But I like MCW's youth and defense, so I didn't want to get rid of him.

-OJ Mayo just didn't score consistently enough for me to justify his contract and attitude (he got ticked a bit early). I'd rather have a scorer at PG.

-Henson is great, but with Sanders a FA, I decided to make a move and upgrade my PG spot. Who did I go for but Mr. Brandon Jennings.

I traded:

Mayo
Henson
Greivous
Copeland

I got:

Jennings
Morris (good scoring SF off the bench, which Bucks don't have)
some backup guard
and a center who I cut

Picked up Larry Sanders.

Now my rotation is this:

PG - Jennings
SG - Middleton
SF - Parker
PF - GIannis
C - Monroe
-----
6 Sanders
7 MCW
8 Morris
9 Vaughn
10 Plumlee

I made this trade after my second game (lost to NO, then beat Miami), but then I lost to Portland (Lillard had 30+). I also screwed up some of the player roles while doing this, including accidentally signing Sanders as a Starter instead of as 6-man.

But I like this change, thus far. I have a lot more confidence in my rotation now, and can bring a good mix of scoring (Morris) and D off the bench (Sanders, MCW). Rashad has also played good minutes for me.

Other thoughts:

-Giannis is great on the ISO, or even pick and roll with Monroe. He has such insane athleticism and handling for a 6'11 guy. I find he finishes really well, and draws a lot of fouls. That's how I use him...kind of like Durant without the range.

-Parker has been shooting well for me. Shooting about 40% from three and even more effective everywhere else.

-Middleton is such a great scorer. Very clutch for me. Wish he didn't get so tired so quickly.

Anyway, just wanted to share my observations and experiences with you, as I'm doing something very similar! Go Bucks!

I think Giannis should stay (unless you absolutely feel that you can't play with him). He has insane potential, can probably play any position (as they actually plan on doing this year) and indeed his athleticism is off the charts.

Re: In the prime of youth - Milwaukee Bucks MyLeague

Thanks for your comments, guys.

@Trek, Cruzerr, Kumode: You're right, I can't trade Giannis.
A player with that kind of body is nowhere to be found and I don't want to make moves of which bitterly regret it. I use him mainly as SF because Jabari Parker in that role suffers too defensively. Obviously we've spacing issues but as long as we win...

@Guru: Thank you for sharing this. Personally, I like Mayo. He can score, he can play D...
Yes, his contract is onerous but it's expiring too!

I thought about bringing back Jennings in Milwaukee instead of Carter-Williams too. But I came to the conclusion that it is useless to take a player without a winning mentality for a player who, with a lot of work on shooting, could become a great all-around

Re: In the prime of youth - Milwaukee Bucks MyLeague

Bucks' bench rule, Deers goes 9-4

John Henson, OJ Mayo, Jerryd Bayless and Greivis Vasquez combined for a +19 plus/minus on 126-114 Bucks' home victory against Utah.

Greg Monroe and Giannis Antetokoumpo were the top scorers of the team, tied at 18, while John Henson added a 17+12 double-double with perfect 6/6 shooting.

In a great losing effort Trevor Booker scored 21 points with 10/12FG for the Jazz, destroyed by the terrible basketball IQ of point guard Trey Burke: only 4 field goals made on 15 attempts, and what a shot quality...

Re: In the prime of youth - Milwaukee Bucks MyLeague

I've edited some sliders because i noticed that i shoot too good from inside.

Inside shot success: From 46 to 45
Layup shot success: From 45 to 45

Re: In the prime of youth - Milwaukee Bucks MyLeague

Yes, I kind of regret the Jennings trade a bit, just because he hasn't provided the type of scoring boost I imagined. Still, MCW plays good minutes off the bench and could reassume the starting position next year (though i plan on drafting a PG first round). The great thing about him is that his height means he can play the 2 spot as part of the rotation, though he obviously needs to develop his shooting game immensely.

In my franchise (4-2, on a 3W streak), Jabari is tearing it up for me. Just posted a 27 point game (8 min qtrs) and he's averaging 17 now. I'm not sure if it's because I have his timing down or what, but he is lethal from all over, shooting 40%+ from 3 and even better inside. Definitely a guy I'm excited to build this team around.

I'm also getting good mileage out of Rashad Vaughn. He gets lost on defense, but he's scoring well. Good compliment off the bench for Middleton, who is doing exactly what I want him to do: nail 3s.

Giannis does so many things right, but his scoring is a bit inconsistent. One game, he could not be stopped getting to the rim and finished everything for 20 pts. Other games he'll get there but miss a lot. I'm excited to develop his shooting and ballhandling. Another key cog in the future of the Bucks.

Monroe and Sanders are a good offensive/defensive compliment, although with all the scoring I get from my 2, 3, and 4, i'm starting to think I'd rather have defense and rebounding at my 5 than the offensive acumen that Monroe brings....

One thing I'm wondering about is player progression in this game. I'm about 1/5 done with the regular season and performing better than expected, but not necessarily seeing my guys ratings get a boost. I don't have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure Middleton and Parker are both +1, but other than that, not seeing much. How's player progression going for you?
