TARIQ IVERSON COMMITS TO MICHIGAN

(AP)-- After a successful high school basketball career, Tariq Iverson took a much needed summer vacation to recoup and mull over the offers he was given. Finally the day come, the 5-star ESPN 100 prospect announced that he will be accepting the athletic scholarship from the University of Michigan.

"It was no definitive decision from the beginning. Understanding where I want to play, and who I want to play for was big decision in my life", Iverson told ESPN.com. "Each program had a lot to offer to help me grow as a player, and as a man as well, but I felt Michigan suited my needs and what they were looking for in me accommodated them also."

Iverson led the Parkside Dragons with his best average this previous season with 16.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks. He shot a decent clip of 37% from deep and 41% from field. After leading his high school to an State Championship victory, Iverson was prepared to accomplish more big time moments in the Big Ten conference.

High expectations is held in regards of Iverson's college level basketball debut. It's a strong possibility with their new recruit, Tariq Iverson, that it could be the year of the Wolverines. Only question lie ahead is if it's this year?
