I see that. I've quietly been following. It will be fun to see the different directions are go, and who has success. Thanks for following. Should have first post up today/tonight.

Dirk starts Mavs season off right at expense of Suns

Dirk Nowitzki has been in the NBA a long time, and his veteran leadership showed up tonight. He found his team trailing at the start of the fourth quarter, but did not panic, and led his team to a victory over the Suns.

The Suns were led by explosive Point Guard Eric Bledsoe, who had 21 points in tonights matchup. Markieff Morris also had a nice night, scoring 17 points while adding 4 rebounds.

One area where the Suns are going to need to improve if they want to come out on the other end of these games is the turnover category. Point Guard Eric Bledsoe turned the ball over 6 times tonight, accounting for half of the teams 12 turnovers.

Tyson Chandler got a chance to square off with his old team, and had a good night providing a spark off the bench. Tyson talked about it after the game saying, "It was good seeing some of my old teammates. We might not be wearing the same uniform anymore, but we are still friends, and I wish them the best of luck this season."

Portland comes to town for a game with the Suns next.

Suns skid continues against Clippers

During an NBA game, you want to be in the game no matter what. You could win, you could lose, but there is one thing that is certain, you do not want to be blown out. The Suns avoided that today, but it stung the way they lost.

After being down 10 points for most of the game, midway through the 3rd quarter the Suns started shooting the ball better, and it got them the lid halfway through the 4th quarter, and it looked like the Suns were finally going to get their first win of the year, but it wasn't meant to be.

The Suns had a 1 point lead with 34 seconds today, but the Clippers had the ball, and they have Blake Griffen. If Griffen is known for one thing, it is his dunks, and he put on a spectacular dunk to give his team the lead. However, there were still 23 seconds left in the game so the Suns would have a chance to take the lead once again.

Coach Jeff Hornacek chose not to wait for the clock to strike zero, instead he decided to go right away with a pick and roll between Eric Bledsoe and Alex Len, two of the Suns best players. However, the play never developed and Bledsoe got the ball stolen from by Chris Paul, one of the best perimeter defenders to play the game.

The Suns had no choice but to foul Chris Paul, who is also a great free throw shooter. He took the chance and ran with it, sinking both free throw's, putting the Clippers up by three.

The Suns did end up taking the final shot, but it wasn't close on an airball coming from Jon Leuer. We got a chance to catch up with Jon after the game, on taking the final shot. "Coach asked me if I would run the pick and pop because it had worked once before, at the end of the 3rd quarter. I said sure I'll take it, but I just didn't have the space I needed to bury the shot."

Tough way to lose. The Clippers were led by Deandre Jordan who had a coming out party with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Tyson Chandler once again provided a spark off of the bench, leading the team in scoring with 18 points, in just 19 minutes. When we asked coach Jeff about moving Tyson into the starting lineup he kept it short and simple saying, "If he keeps playing like this I will have no choice."

The Suns return home for a 2 game homestand against Sacramento and Detroit, two winnable games.
