At the Half....

As expected the Bulls are having their way with the young 76ers squad. There is not much the Bulls could have done to improve on their pace and efficiency. The bench continues to impress with 38 first half points, and I am sure that number will increase as Chicago will be able to limit the number of minutes the starters will have to play in the 2nd half. Mirotic leads all scorers with 12 points. Rose and Brooks have both made great contributions combining for 11 assists.

Game 8

Vs. 76ers

Derrick Rose did not play 1 minute in the 4th quarter, but neither did Aaron Brooks. No dramatic side stories on this night, just a blow out of the 76ers that saw Kirk Hinrich and E'Twaun Moore play for the first time this season. The Bulls "Bench Mob" made huge contributions on a night that saw them put up 76 points, and 5 of its members scoring in double figures. Jimmy Butler scored 21pts for a tie with Jahlil Okafor for game high. Doug Mcdermott lead the reserves with 17. 7 total Bulls ended up with double digit points. The Bulls have won 3 straight and improve to 6-2.

The Bulls (6-2) next game will be at home against the Hornets (5-3). Chicago is on a 3 game win streak that last saw them lose to the Hornets 10 days ago. The Bulls left that game with a bad taste in their mouth as Al Jefferson owned the paint shooting 11/18 hitting 7 FT's on his way to a 29pt 8reb night. 6 different Hornets players hit 3 point shots as they combined for 9/20 (45%) from beyond the arc. Chicago will attempt to slow down the inside-outside game early and force them into a more controlled game.
