Simmons is a freaking beast. I'm not sure why the don't use him more, for whatever reason the offense is usually run through Brandon Knight, but Simmons can score at will it seems.

I'm happy to see two Game 7's in what has been a fairly lackluster playoff so far. I'll be really surprised (and disappointed) if GS doesn't win out West. Philly at their house is no joke. I gonna need Game 6 IT4 or better if I'm going to beat them.

NBA FINALS PREVIEW

Spoiler

#1 Golden State Warriors vs #2 Boston Celtics

For the second straight year, we have the Golden State and Boston Celtics meet in the Finals. Last season Boston came back from behind 3-2 and won the last two games to win the championship (for review read post #288 to #291). In Game 6 Boston came back thanks to a heroic effort from IT4, who had 39 points in helping the C's come back from an 18 point 3rd quarter deficit to win the Game in overtime. In Game 7 Boston locked in on the Warriors outside shooting holding them to just 27% (7/26) from deep and were hot from the outside hitting 9/20 45% themselves.

Boston is missing a key player from those wins, particularly on the defensive end, in Avery Bradley. They're hoping that Jaylen Brown can step up at SG and keep Klay and sometimes Steph locked down like Bradley did. Boston is also making a lineup change by moving Jae Crowder back into the starting lineup to guard Kevin Durant. On the offensive end, they need IT4 to be on the top of his game, and others like Hayward and Smart to make the best of the opportunities from the bench, as well. If there is one aspect that Boston should be able to take advantage of Golden State is down low. Al Horford and DeAndre Ayton should have a field day, at least until Draymond Green returns.

The Warriors are the most high-powered offense in the NBA. On any given night Durant, Curry or Thompson can lead the team and the combination of the three are very, very tough to contend with. When one is cold, the other two can be hot and take charge of the game. The Warriors could be without the heart and soul of their team in Draymond Green who is hurt with a sprained knee. He his day-to-day with his injury and could be ready to go in Game 1. If he is ready, then that makes Golden State a much, much better team.

In the end, Golden State, with or without Draymond, just has too much firepower and I while Boston may be able to slow them down, I'm not sure that they can do that for four games.

Prediction: Golden State in 6

Epic finish to the ECF -- that's an all-time classic series. Boston's got to be feeling a bit spent after such a hard fought battle against the 76ers, so I can't disagree with your prediction.

It's gonna be a great Finals.
